[b]I would like to believe that most of us here reside in USA/Canada/UK/Europe. While others are either those that come here to do business with us by enlighten us on how/where/what/when on most subjects relating to properties/materials/contractions. Yet, there are others that come here to learn something new through posts of exchanging ideas between the two groups and more importantly they do contributes too because they live in naija and they know the current price of building materials too. By doing this, we all appreciate each other and it’s a win-win thread for all of us.

To my diaspora brothers and sisters, I know how much time and energy it takes to go out there and get the “9 to 5” thing out of 24/7, especially this time of the year when it’s freezing like Antarctica. No doubt the hustle is real, painful and long thus, nobody wants to let their “papers” down the drain. I get that!

What I don’t get though, is why we made this forum our second home, after a long painful day at work, only to come here to misbehaves. Y’all c’mon menh! …don’t be telling me y’all ain’t gotta berra thang to do? We’ve fished out the maggots on here already, moreover, by now we all know who is who? Thirdly, I’m sure we will not hesitate to stop future fraud on here before it even commenced. We really should clap for ourselves and move on! Why? The fraudster amongst us is apprehended and now facing the music. Why can’t we just go back to do what we used enjoy? The same thing that brought all of us here! We represent the civilized amongst us buy yet acting uncivilized! Let’s sheath our swords already and move on! Trust me, I should know. I’ve lost a lot by conducting a business with someone I met here. But to God be the Glory, moving on have pushed me to higher level in life.

Let’s stop this behavior already. We are men. If I want to read about boys dissing one another, I will go to the front page. Most of us here are grown-ups, more importantly; the leaners come here to learn. Let’s keep it that way.

To my engineers/builders here, you need to do more by quickly identify the bad eggs here before a business is transacted. If things continue to go like this trust me, it will affect your family directly or indirectly because even though we hustle abroad, yours begins here. You don’t sh!t in where you eat! Now please, don’t get me wrong, we know the good ones among you, but you need to do more to protect your business here. Please protect our investments too. We thank you for your enlightenments on building talks.

To others, we are sorry! We will stop these bad behaviors ASAP and get back to why we are here again.
Let’s move on![/b]

Not fair on those that have been sympathizing with you since the issue started. You need to post some pics of the current state and also some brief explanation on what you had to do to correct it and maybe the person that did the correction if the person is a builder on Nairaland. That way, we can all learn in case we have such issues in the future.

Not before the judge see the damage that was done in the court case on Dec. 15....whalahi I go testify !

I think this was the point that Lastpage (Wife + Husband included ) and others was missing, me/others coming here to expose Bosun does not mean that without his refund or whatever i/we will not make progress if lastpage see's my house now i am sure he will faint , never in his dream would he have thought I could pull that off. He foolishly thought I was waiting for Bosun's 10K

I find that on this forum, in the last 2/3 years, only a very few select people can openly criticize Bosun Shoyoye at the height of his deception, now that hopefully he's about to be caged, we now have people opening thier mouth, whilst clients (myself included) highly regrets giving Bosun a chance, in view of the circumstances the so called Builder ought to shoulder majority of the responsibility, so clients should be blamed for builder stealing materials, providing fake documents despite giving assurances, not paying workers despite collecting money from the client, not following standard building practices, deliberately making mistakes to show the client and extract undue profit ?. Common guys, give me a damn break !!. Does Spyder have 2 heads, 4 legs, 2 stomachs, 10 brains ??

Spyder, Still have a great deal of respect for you. This guy builds houses for people in diaspora and he may not have seen them before, he just delivers as agreed.

Am beginning to eye Abuja because it seems like a more saner environment and beside I wont have to be doing yeye raft or pile foundation with money that can build me carcass for Abuja. I dont think Abuja have omo onile issues like lagos....anyone know?

I'd rather acquired a land in Rep. Of Benin first before even considering Abuja. Don't ask me why, that's just me. To each, his own.

As for warning about Brabus, I didn't need to do that on this thread. Go to my profile & read all my comments in my threads & in other threads opened by other people where issues about taking the right steps in construction and choosing a right contractor were raised. Anyone who reads my numerous comments on such issues & makes the same mistakes again may not learn anywhere else. This is what I do for a living for the past 10 years & it pains me when people make mistakes in their projects that could have been avoided as a result of lack of knowledge or crass ignorance.

Again, on warning against Brabus, I remember on this particular thread when QC1 brought up the issue of his Ikorodu project when the foundation was sinking & that Brabus used 2 planks instead of 4, I asked him if there were no structural drawings with which Brabus used to construct the building. Such drawings would tell us if Brabus followed the engineer's design or otherwise. Till now, there was no response from QC1. Check this thread to confirm.

What else are we professionals to do in that case

Check all my posts here, you wont see me bashing anyone. I respect everyone because I will stop you immediately with all my might if you ever think of disrespecting me just for a "fraction of a sec."

Having said that, sometimes you need to choose your battles and sometimes you need to choose your battle ground, either way, be smart. Which is what I think you're lacking here for saying that trash you just said about me.

Again check all my post, you will NEVER find anywhere where I was asking for refund, but rather for exposing that "mo-fo" mistakes so that we can all learn from it and move on. Why cry over spill of milk when you are blessed with a lactating wife?

Don't think for you can come here and say rubbish. We have seen and dealt with people like you on this forum. No, you wont be the last either!

Since when is the owner of the project is now responsible to answer any questions regarding drawings produced by a paid "so-called" engineer/ builder, but the later doesn't have to defend what he was paid for? You had better be careful, don't mistake stupidity for a courage!

It will give Nairaland a bad name and most of us will be affected because it takes one bad to spoil the bunch.
All people will read is Nairaland and Scam. We already have Yahoo boys messing-up internet, I don't think we want same for Nairaland.
One stupid person can be the whole network down, do we really need that? Let's not make it look like it's Nairaland that caused it.

We have nothing to do to curb his excesses. I was one of the people who first challenged him. As a matter of fact, I contacted him in 2014 on BB to build my house but by God's grace something just said I should give it to another nairalander. I never called or spoken to him on the phone before.

He defrauded many people in property section but I am still puzzled why those people he defrauded couldn't initiate a legal action against him.

If i was Sir QC-1, even if i did not plan to come down to Nigeria this xmas season, i will just suspend every other thing and come down to Nigeria to be in that court room on that day. I no even mind go back immediately after the court session even if i know that in typical Naija style, the case will be adjourned.

I will be in 4 different counties in 2 continents then go back to Staten Island NYC, all within 10 days around that week. I will be in naija in January for a long time though. If anyone have any info on the adjourned date.....that will be super!

When I want to buy something that I know nothing about, I usually do a lot of research.
So when I was ready to buy this Generator, I heard there are lots of Sumec Firman running around in various stores,
so I contacted the manufacturer in China direct to give me their true Agent in Lagos, Nigeria because I don't want Aba made.
They gave me the guys name and info. I bought it from him... I will look for his details now and post.

Lagos-A 37-year-old estate agent, Bosun Shoyoye, who allegedly stole N5 million was yesterday arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate's court at Igbosere.

The defendant, who resides at Imedu Awoyaya, in Eti-Osa Local Government in Lagos is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and theft.

The prosecutor, SP Eshiet Eshiet, told the court that the defendant committed the alleged offence in September at Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos State.

He further told the court that the defendant stole the N5 million from one Adebayo Adegbola under the guise that he was a reputable project manager, and that he had handled several estates projects for several people, which he knew to be false.

According to Eshiet, the offence committed was contrary and punishable under Section 312, 267 and 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge and the magistrate, Miss Olanike Olagbinde, granted him N500,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.

The case was adjourned to December 15 for mention.

It will be cruel to be with someone just because you feel sorry for them. I cannot say yes when I have no feelings ,chemistry or common ground with that person. It's about being compatible and complimenting each other. I am not perfect by all means I am realistic. Relationships should not be about trying to make it work. It should work.
