TravelRe: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by qhunlay: 1:39pm On May 10, 2022
Good afternoon people

Please I need your advice or guidance on an issue.

I filled the application for passport renewal for my sister, submitted and paid.

Unfortunately, I mistakenly filled her BVN instead of NIN in the application.

Is there any way this could be corrected when she goes for capturing or we have to fill a new application and pay another fee?

Thank you.

Please Im in the middle of I don't know what to do about taxes issues.

I'm a self employed own a business registered a year and some month, I visited Lirs office at Akowonjo to file my tax TODAY . The woman attended to me asked me that I will pay for 3 years and first year is 10k, second year 15k while third year 20k.

My concerns now is that I wanted to start paying myself monthly income salary of 550k from my company account starting for this month till Oct so I will apply by NOV.

Does 3 years personal income taxes is assessment for 550k monthly income salary at the rate of 10k,15k,20k (45k) from3 years is sound good enough?

Because I don't know if the assessment they charged me to pay for 3 years i.e 10k , 15, 20k I should pay it? I guess is doesn't mean how much I earned monthly? Please please kindly advise me on this

I ask them to hold on first, so I can come and ask here from my guru and my lovely nairaland brother first before I take any action.

Does Tax clearance certificate really compulsory to apply for Tourist visa m
TCC is not compulsory for Visitor's visa application. You may only use it to boost your application that you a responsible citizen.

From your narrations above, you are talking about two different taxes; CIT and PAYE

For your CIT, according to the Finance Act, you are exempted if your annual turnover is below N25m.

However, if you will be paying yourself a net salary of N550k monthly, then your PAYE should be around N80k which you must be remitting to LIRS on a monthly basis and it's on this that they will issue you an e-TCC.

Like I said in the first line, TCC is not compulsory...

Many many thanks to you.
My employer has accommodation for me. How do I prove this. They stated it an the financial support letter ... is this sufficient for submission?
I think a utility bill or mortgage document bearing the name of your employer and the address of the accommodation should suffice.

Please has anyone ever received a non-complaint email from SAQA?... I received one stating the consent form was not completely filled. Missed DOB (while in a haste). However, I immediately resubmitted. Since then I have not heard from them.
What do I do next?
Do I need to contact my Uni to send them a verification of my certificate. Or just wait for SAQA?
My employer sent me a letter of sponsorship and accommodation. Do I still need to attach personal bank statements?
Can I hand fill the visa form? or use Adobe
Are photocopies of my birth certificate, marriage certificate, passport biodata page supposed to be certified before submission for visa?
Whoa, whoa, whoa.....let's take it one after another. SAQA evaluation of your foreign qualification is different from visa application.

For the SAQA part, you need to have a contact person at your higher institution, preferably someone in the admin office, who will be helping you to follow up on it. Most times, some schools delay the process when they don't respond to SAQA on time and SAQA will not do anything until your they hear from your school.

On the visa application part, you are always required to fill the form using a black ink pen, so leave Adobe out of it. Also, together with your employer's letter of sponsorship and accommodation, it is very much necessary that you include your own personal bank statement of account.

If I may ask, what category of visa are you applying for?

Everyone, please help. How much is SAQA.
I want to apply for a critical skill visa.
i fill the SAQA application online it gave me a total of 2295 Rand to pay.
is this right? im seeing different prices onlinel
Also, so I still send hard copy via courier and the online application and payment.

Pls assist
I believe the total amount to be paid is a function of the factors selected:

One (first) qualification submitted: R1700-00
Each subsequent qualification submitted: R850-00
Courier delivery: African continent R275-00

So you will pay between R1975 and R2825

Also, you don't need to send hard copies, just upload your documents and they will contact your school for confirmation.

The question is for giselle237 to respond. The personal circumstances of individuals differs, and you know that. As per the guy who got the visa to attend Army Assessment Centre without a job in Nigeria. He used his Dad's bank statement.

Hope you can see now that the personal circumstances of my friend differs from the other guy because my friend is using his own bank statement. I only need an experienced person to help guide him through. Should he indicate "business" OR "investment" considering that the fund in his bank account comes from rent payments. Be kind enough to give helpful info. And if you have nothing good to say, just shut up

I know of some other guys who have job BUT were denied visa. It depends on how you present your personal circumstance. He is applying for the first time. Myself I have been denied before. I do NOT have enough experience to guide him, that's why I am asking @giselle237.
Sincere apologies for responding to your post, for a moment I thought I was on the UK Visa Travel Section of Nairaland, my bad.

Good evening all,

Please I need advice for a friend. She was issued a 6 mths uk visa in 2015. When she was about to travel with Arik air to uk, she said the airline told her her tummy was showing. I guess because she was carryign twins, her tummy was bigger than normal. Anyway, they told her she should call a number at the uk high commision . but when she did, she was told nobody asked her to call. so she instead booked a another flight with a different airline and travelled to the uk. when she arrived at the uk, she was denied entry on the grounds that her visa had been cancelled in nigeria. Apparently the european airline she boarded did not crosscheck her visa before allowing her board from Nigeria. The y did not issue her any ban. she came back home and never went to the high commission to clarify the issue. Now she intends to go and apply for a study visa. What can she do about the problem she had regarding the visit visa years ago? I will appreciate feedback please. Thank you.
Visitors visa application and study visa application are two different categories, and different types of documents are required for each category.

I believe there is a section in the visa application form that the person would be asked if she has been refused entry into the UK, if her answer is "Yes", then there is a column to explain why, so the person should just do the needful and explain.

I strongly believe that if she has adequate documents to back up her study visa application, then she will definitely get it. Tell your friend to go for it and be hopeful of a positive outcome.

That is my own opinion, other gurus here might also have something to chip in.

Good evening house. Last year December requested to go and spend d Christmas with my friend and wrote to stay for 2weeks, I was not given the Visa last year and the time am suppose to travel for Christmas elapsed so I couldn't go. I was later given 6months visa this year January after I thought they will not give me again.. I need to use it before it expires and i decided to visit the same my family friend that invited me for last year December Christmas with it for this Easter travelling late march. My question is that can I stay for 4weeks that's 30days since I will have to quarantine for 15days indoor in her house, and use the other days 15days to explore. Because if am to be indoors for 10days that means nothing is left again for the 2weeks . Will it affect my next renewal. Kindly advise thank you
Hello. Your visa is valid for 180 days, spending 28 days out of it in the UK shouldn't be an issue as long as you intend to return to Nigeria and you can prove at the next visa application that the time spent in the UK fell within your annual leave period (if employed)

If self-employed, who manages your business while you are away to the UK?

You won't have any problem as long as you don't violate the visa terms.

Good evening People

Please I'd like some information on how to go about applying for a Finnish Tourist Visa

I have a friend that is inviting me over, I believe that is going to make the process a little easy, right?

What I wanna know is :

1: How much do I need to have in my account

2: Does my friend need to have some money in their account too?

3: How much will the overall cost of this entire process be

4: Flight tickets? Like how much does it cost I know that its constantly changing

Please help me
1. Enough funds that would cover your flight tickets and which you'd still be left with something substantial

2. What's the resident status of your friend, i.e. citizen or PR? You just need copy of his or her legal status (passport biodata page or residence permit), payslips and proof of accommodation

3. As you have a host who will be accommodating you, you only need to buy flight tickets and some little money for shopping.

4. Flight tickets should cost between ₦300k to ₦400k depending on the airlines and travel period.

Hope this helps...

It will take some days before your account will be credited. But you will surely get it.
Actually it's over a month (about six weeks) now that they informed me about the reversal and yet nothing is showing in my bank account.

I am still following up with them and I hope they get things sorted out quickly. I'm more interested in getting the CS Letter from them which I'm sure would be ready by now, I believe they are holding on until they have the payment.

Anyways, I'll keep pushing until this is resolved.

Thanks @DrOA
TravelRe: South Africa Critical Skill Visa And Permanent Resident by qhunlay: 6:37pm On Jan 05, 2021
welf99:
The easiest route to Permanent Resident PR is Critical skill Visa, it allows you to apply for PR immediately you secure employment in SA. After 4years preceding your PR you are eligible to apply for citizenship. Your immediate family member first kin can also apply for PR if they arrive through Relative permit.
@welf99, great to have you back again.

I have been processing my CSV since mid last year but I'm presently stuck at registering with a professional body.

Having submitted my documents to IBASA, I then made payment for the CS Letter as a Business Analyst

However, two weeks after making payment, they sent me a mail...see below:

"Kindly note that our ABSA bank has reversed your R5000 made to our account back into your account.
We are experiencing problems with our international payments.
You would need to make another payment. If it is possible to have someone that is in South Africa to make the payment for you."

We have been having a back and forth since Nov 26 2020 and the said reversal has not even been made to my account. The drama is totally unending.

I don't want to make another payment to them unless I received the initial one. What do you suggest?

The CS Letter is the only thing remaining for me to apply for the CSV at the Embassy.

The bolded is what I will recommend.
I may be wrong but as I was going through your first post, even before I read that the visa was declined, I already had it in mind that it is not likely this visa will be approved. I'm not a Visa Officer and don't know how you wrote your letters of self-introduction, invitation and other documents you presented but within the first two lines lines, I knew it is unlikely the visa will be approved.

Visas are denied for many reasons and the commonest is inconsistencies!
You said you "packaged" it? (inconsistencies do occur in the non-packaged ones but for the "packaged", occurrence of inconsistencies is higher)
Salary of #200K? (so many questions about this!)
#200K monthly salary is quite high. Where did you state the organization is?
Did you use the letter-head of the organization?
An organization paying such amount should have a website, an email address, a contact phone number, did you include these?
If you did, they might have tried to verify and discovered your claims were false.

Again, declaring that someone earning this amount is also a fashion designer during the weekend does not add up (in my opinion, though).
If you have said she has a shop or something else but being managed by someone else, that would have been better.

Thirdly, you started by saying you as the husband applied for your wife and son visitors' visa .....
Then, you said, "The person that invites her have a Permanent Resident in SA with good job and good pay as well..."
Is this person different from you because you actually presented them as separate!
If you are the husband with PR and good pay why didn't you use your bank details instead more so that you are the one inviting her?

Yeah, I don't what you wrote in your letters, but from little I could glean from here, I can assume there were inconsistencies in your documents.
@justt, great to see you here again after a long while.

You abandoned us on the other side (CSV thread). Hope you are keeping safe

Let's also hear from you on that side, questions plenty for ground

@qhunlay the concluding part.......

We were ushered into the oza room, I sat with my kids while hubby was being questioned for well over 10mins I would say. Immediately he got up, I was ushered by the cbp officer to come for questioning. The first question he asked was if I have a friend in Baltimore Maryland (yeah I do have a friend and she's aware of my travel itenary). I wasn't sure if he'd asked hubby and did not want to lie so I told him yeah I do, asked if we were going to her place, asked about her immigration status(she was there via spousal visa) I gave all answers to the best of my knowledge and sincerity. He then requested for my phone to get her number. I gladly did cos I was sure my phone was clean.

Few minutes later, he called me into another room this time he told me he was typing the transcript of all our conversation. Told me my friend had given a different account of our trip. She told him we were coming to her place( mind you we were not, we were heading to Florida) and spending 3 weeks at her place , she also told him she's been trying to get us an apartment that once we leave her place we would settle into our new place. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. I made it clear to him she was lieing and he asked me "why would she like" I was dumbfounded.

There was nothing we could say to convince them otherwise. They drilled and drilled for over 10hours, threatened we would be put in jail for lieng to a US Federal officer bla bla bla, one of them even called my hubby aside and suggested we seek asylum which I told him " Perish that idea fast". At the end of the day , they concluded they were not convinced enuf that we were genuine tourist, hence they would have to put us on the next flight to Nigeria. My lil girl even tried convincing him we came for holiday. In her words " my mum is not lieng, we came for holiday" ( this brought tears to my eyes) but tah it fell on deaf ears. He was hell bent in sending us back. That's how I found myself back in Nigeria after more than 4 days being airborne. It was indeed a sad experience but I'm grateful to still be alive.

We Live to fight Another day
That was so sad...

Did you later found out from your friend why she lied? Are you sure they actually contacted your friend or they just cooked the story up?

I like the part where you turned down the asylum offer, it was really a trap.

I pray that God Almighty will make a way for you again and it will end in praise.
