Hello Nigerian canadians i started this movement in July but i am loosing motivation, i am actually doing this for my kids because i have a comfortable job. My colleague who i started with has changed her mind and its affecting me I'm studying for IELTS buy I've lost that energy i started with.
So guys give me ginger, remind why this is worth every naira, sweat and effort.

learn to make decisions and stand by it, ask yourself over and over again why you want to migrate, is it worth it, don't just loose faith because of friends.

No wonder men these days are yet to see a dutiful wives to marry. It's even in the Bible, a virtue woman using her hands to make her home warm and stable for the family.

I have a neighbor in my office building , because his wife does not know how to cook, she doesn't wash his shirts and boxers, he left in his home he built. And went to marry an igbo girl who pampers him, makes sure his food is ready before he's back from. Work. She makes sure his shirts are clean and ironed. He had been warning his Yoruba wife for many years to change and be a wife, but she thought he was joking because she gave birth to a son that looks a replica of him and two daughters. The husband change am for am, and went for an igbo girl.
A Yoruba man for that matter, he travelled to her home town in Imo, paid everything gher parents listed for him. He didn't care about the cost. He went with his elder brother and friends. Come and see the igbo girl family hailing him. Lol

It is normal for a woman to wash her husband's clothes. Be with hand or washing machine. U don't work, u stay at home. He goes to work and he comes back no food, but u serve him bread and sardine at night, then his clothes are there not washed. But u washed yours. Babe lemme tell you the truth. That's bad.

Hey guys,
I haven't been on this thread for a long while, because sometimes when you makes plans, Life happens. Well Long story short, My company insisted i go back to just regular 8 hours a day because they could not pay for my overtime. Mind you, this is a multi billion dollar project.
I discovered that the company managers had a meeting about me at the beginning of this year and decided to make sure i dont work overtime because i made more than a bunch of them. I made exactly $100,039 last year, working as a security guard. Impressive i think. I took what they said in good faith and have been working regular shift since. i would have gotten a second job, but i am on course to be one of the best or probably the best student in my masters program, so i decided to focus on my studies and graduate with honors.
I have realized that people that smile with you everyday, are not actually happy about your success, even when your success does not amount to their failure. They just dont like the fact that a security guard, or probably a black African security guard earns more than managers. Don't get me wrong, i dont think Canada is as racist as some other countries, but i think there is a little bit of it. Now point of note, earning so much is good, but it also disqualifies you from some benefits in Canada. For example, the grants i got for my student loan this year are next too nothing cos i earned above $80k on my tax statements. Another point of note, i paid just about $30k in taxes last year.
