missclasssy:you are talking out of your a.rse for crying out louder. Please tell me your basis for determining each genders level of intelligence? Tell me how you've gathered these samples analysed your results and adjusted for bias? Tell me how you've made your comparisons and why exactly you think you carry the capacity to judge anybodies intelligence? Could it be that you assume when a man makes a statement it is automatically intelligent? Tell me how much you frequent the politics section of NL and how exactly you've gathered any one post is intelligent? Especially on this forum. |
That photo!!! The photo!!! lmfao! why did you do this!!! ![]() |
missclasssy:No I didn't insult you - but it is clear despite your username that the females you are exposed to are those with no class. blublahd:Perhaps, men are allowed to do it and so are we. A woman has said she never sees women involved in intelligent conversations and suggests due to that fact, that Nigerian men are more intelligent than the women. Apart from the fact that women are traditionally at a disadvantage due to our culture and traditions - Nigerian women have proven to ruthless in professional achievement and educational attainment. Those of us that attended the best schools in the world (especially as a Nigerian woman) will tell you Nigerian women are easier to find than men in these institutions. Because you don't find them lined up on Allen or fixing their nails in Ketu doesn't mean they don't exist, and because they have little to no interest in Nairaland or lack the opportunity to delve into politics doesn't mean they are nowhere to be found. The thread is insulting! Not to say we cannot debate facts to determine whether a certain gender is inherently daft in comparison, but it cannot be done intelligently with the OPs flimsy opinions kmt. |
missclassy has little or no exposure to classy Nigerian 'ladies' I suggest you minimize your visits to nail stalls in ketu as observation posts for the females. On my assumption that the OP was a sensible poster I was actually about to write a decent response I learnt from a book I read. I'll save that for another day. but to match my personal experience with yours - I'd say even in the face of Nigerian being 100% patriarchal society I have encountered more intelligent, ambitious, fiercely educated NIGERIAN women than I have men. |
Obiagelli - Paste jpphilips response above to the initial post. i will actually like to see a thorough analysis of this programme. Also the welfare should only be for : the disabled, women with children and the elderly. The rest should go towards an unemployment fund that should work towards moving the lower skilled into suitable jobs. I personally think the programme is very doable - but in Nigeria I will expect for all the funding to either be politicized i.e reserved for card carrying members as we found in Ekiti, or looted in one go! |
Please submit yourself to receive the impeachment notice immediately |
The problem was never really the girls. The problem was his attitude |
Quite frankly I find the aggression towards a PRIVATE BUSINESS rather concerning can dome tell me whether it was DSTV that cobalised Nigeians? Is it by force to patronise them? Or if by impact of the falling naira they are forced to increase tarrifs what right does a court have to suspend them? |
rotimi you fall my hand - how can you not give these students water electricity and hostels? Like all other universities in Nigeria? Such as the one in Delta state and the one in Akwa Ibom? Nonsense! |
Im all for Rotimi being president or VP coming 2019! |
Taking up arms against a country is not always a smart move - doesn't mean there is no logic behind it. Performance is all that matters. . . . . . . . . |
atlwireles:*patience jonathans voice* kontinu I know for one know no more than 10% of Nigerians couldnt care less about the causes I do - that includes pitying the people who claim to be marginalised and believing they deserve some attention. |
Rose2014:Who is clamoring for a united Nigeria? I for one will be happy if we got to see the backs of the bigots that will not allow someone to rest because of oil that is leagues away from their fathers land. Jonathan was voted in the same reason he was voted out, what we thought was a complacent attitude towards grasping for power turned out to be incompetence. We loved the man Jonathan, who was bullied and insulted by the Northern elders and 'WE' as in the 'YORUBAS' (with not a single ijaw, ss or se leader present) marched the streets to demand Jonathan be made president. We hate the man Jonathan who allowed corruption to thrive under his nose and did nothing to address the insurgency and political disasters rocking the nation! Nobody expected him to perform miracles - we expected him to be a leader! Make the right decisions and if he cant eradicate corruption and insurgency at least PRETEND as if he cares!!! He is the architect of his own downfall, remove the ethnic sentiments see sense. |
atlwireles:go ahead and channel inwards, let me know how far that gets you |
I love amaechi - and feel bad at how the rivers crisis played out. Had he known he should have just looted as much as possible and moved on with his life. Clearly the Rivers people, like the Ekiti people know nothing about biting the fingers that feed them. I look forward to watching them suffer at the hands of the thugs they nominated to rule. Buhari dare not even involve himself in any matters of misappropriation when it comes to those 2 states! Let the states see the work of their hands! |
kendrick9:Not soo sure - the development of Lagos came well before Oil was discovered. |
I feel the pain of people from these areas - because it genuinely seems as if they were being ganged up against this election. Rather than take the matter personally, there is need to address the specific issues which led to Jonathan being voted out of power. His lack of control over his cabinet and blatant ineptitude. Buhari is not the solution anybody wanted - but Nigerians rallied round and voted for change! Times are changing and in the face of global economic development Nigerians refuse to continue suffering and smiling! Which is the sentiment those from the SS and SE continue to have. It is not 'your turn' to govern for the sake of governing, it is 'your turn' to ensure that your interests are expressed and you are catered for as part of Nigeria! I will say you should stop this ethnic and tribal nonsense that has brought about the likes of NGO, Madueke and Jonathan, and start demonstrating that you have the capability to lead from the front with competent Nigerians with the countries interests at heart. Jonathan had the opportunity to do soo much for you and he didn't, why did you continue to support him? |
Professor Osinbajo - can you declare your assets quickly and let us assess the true stake you have in Lagoses controversial toll gates!! ![]() |
kendrick9:are you minding them - that was then propaganda they used to get Ambodes vote, Lagos affairs ko, Lagos is what it is today because of the diversion of all the states revenue to that area alone, Now as a result we have a moderately developed lagos and overly developed Abuja and completely undeveloped states everywhere else. Naija Delta will not even gree for this kind of nonsense and stewpid suggestion. What they need is a solid focus in less developed states! Especially in the areas od infrastructure and education. |
Im disappointed in Rivers state - and I now know why people viewed Ekiti that way. Wike is a thief, a thug and an errand boy to an equally criminal Patience Jonathan. The sentiment of having 'your son' in power should be overruled by his gross ineptitude and corrupt nature. They will be surprised when Buhari actually does more in Rivers than Wike or Jonathan ever could do. Nigeria is moving forward - but the same cannot be said for Rivers or Ekiti. You will soon learn touts and cultists never make good governors. |
Agbaje was a fool for even suggesting igbos had any kind of clout in Lagos That election was his to win if not for the abandonment of the yorubas in his campaign. Most still have bad roads no water no light and have to pay at tolls. Lagosians wanted change too! |
If the igbo votes were all they were made out to be Fashola never will have gotten a second term. It's no secret what that man feels for igbo people. Lagos needs change too a beg, and deliverance from tinubus filthy fingers |
People try sha Jonathan lost despite those ridiculous attempts to rig. How is he now an angel?? |
Nigerians love to embrace mediocrity thank God they opted for change. Good president or nah now is the time for action. |
This is strategic let's not forget most of these results will be overturned in court. Especially those dodgy south east ones burning the materials is only going to help their case for another election to take place |
They shouldn't worry. Na today? Lawyers are rubbing hands together after this farce of an election! |
lool well they had to do something, the interim government angle wouldn't have worked for long. PDP police don't talk am ooo |
can anyone explain to me how you 'invest in healthcare ' |
There is soo much wrong with the Nigerian society, the problems of women are one of them. Then again, I'm surprised to learn single mothers are stigmatized to an extreme extent in Nigeria. Most mothers in Nigeria are single or might as well be. I think stigmatization will only be a problem if you fall on the less wealthy side - I have many friends from wealthy backgrounds whose parents aren't married and fathers fcked off to wherever. I never hear of them or their mothers being stigmatized. And even the yoruba's often say that a child with 2 homes never goes hungry, I think the issue is that you've judged yourself harshly and therefore allowed others to judge you. The problem I know most people have (or my people have rather) is if you get pregnant before finishing school. That is a big no no. They will ship you to your baby daddies house with immediate effect! |
naijainfogalery:lol this isn't true - the list is inaccurate. The 'white' churches of the world are the richest - the likes of the Catholic Church and Jehova witness owning countries and conglomerates worth more than continents. Don't be fooled. The people making money from the church will never be listed in such! |
I very much doubt Ashimolowo is worth that much - they confuse the church's earnings with Ashimolowos earnings. When are churches going to start paying tax in Nigeria? Also when will the courts make the decision on whether the likes of RCCG can actually charge fees for their schools? |
