You see na these are the people boko haram should be targeting instead of innocent people |
bushdoc9919:I just read! Why didn't I go down that route! Lol In the UK they get free housing monthly allowance and control a million pounds in funds! Though they won't be able to divert it to themselves but imagine the influence and lobbying! Chineke I totally missed the road! |
I do like seeing traditional ceremonies. Its like reading game of thrones. |
Lost any respect or credibility when I saw tompolo. Its bad enough knowing we have a president like Jonathan and governor like Fayose, but a man like tompolo leading a while tribe? OK the line has to be drawn! Its ridiculous. Why is Nigeria so ridiculous?? |
lanaVello1:They get paid? By who? |
Isnt sug student representative? I don't understand why do they keep killing themselves over it? Is it that lucrative? |
I'm with fash on this, though armed robberies are not unheard of in Lagos, they likely took advantage of the security shortage due to the presidents visit. The security of the masses should not be neglected for one man. Especially since state governments fund them. |
Seriously they missed road, they should have either become ministers or comedians. Esp because they often talk nonsense |
cigie:SMART GUYS!! CHOP KNUCKLE JOOOR! I believe the story - simply because of the level of detail, but it may not be PDP as a whole. Though if anybody has been stewpid enough to engage in this then they've literally poured money down the drain. Where on earth do APC get their intelligence from though?? lol At least we now know the 6 weeks extra time they asked for wasn't in vain - seriously intense IT consultations have been taking place ![]() |
barcanista:Abeg just because you call it a different name doesnt make it a different thing. Intervention fund, subsidy, payout bailout. All the same thing, so long as it's being funded by the government and subsequently the tax payers. The government are pouring 215 billion into the electricity sector this yr alone - if they are demanding they stop passing the losses to customers abeg tell me where will the money eventually come from? |
barcanista:she is right - the gov,t are essentially planning to subsidize electricity, how did they arrive at this solution if they cant subsidize fuel? The relationship between the two is subsidy! There is plenty to criticize here - how exactly are the DISCOS arriving at the figure they bill residents? |
I want to know how they can be sending bills of thousands of naira to residents who havent seen electricity in months? They can slash the bill to the moon, people are still paying for services they dont receive! its bloody ridiculous. My energy provider dare not even charge me an extra 10pence for electricity i havent used. They will end up paying me 1000s of pounds for 'hassling me unnecessarily' |
I wouldnt have assumed nanotech requires much sophistication to learn - most aspects of the course will be theoretical. It can then be supplemented with trips abroad to learn the practical and modern aspects. I bet its more to do with the lack of qualified staff to teach - |
sparkleRed:I was thinking the same thing but the fact of the matter is no number of potholes can keep someone away from what they will eat. Though I can can understand the argument that industries will be reluctant to invest in areas with bad transport routes. |
Zeus777:I don't know tbh but I will guess the gov.t decided to judge the strikes they viewed as legitimate and the ones that aren't. I'm not sure the judiciary were striking for the same reason. Lets not forget we were told (dont know if its true) that the doctors strike was actually illegal. I do agree there should be a law covering the length of time a role can be filled with contract staff, because the government should not get away with giving employers decent benefits. Again I'm using the standards of contract employers in the UK, but if Nigeria is the same, contract staff are normally very well paid (often double the wage of permanent staff) the idea is to ensure the position is worthwhile to those filling it. I very much doubt Fashola will admit his dad into a hospital managed by the state but I get your point lol, at the same time will doctors be hurrying off to strike if their family members were laying critically ill in the hospital, lets not forget the initial strike was for flimsy reasons and this resulted in the loss of lives. |
stronger:In a sane world this will actually be true - but Nigeria is not a sane country so it's not. Believe it or not, the people in Ekiti have no idea about the tape, the media is very tightly controlled and they have all been told not to vote against the incumbent so they can experience development. Not forgetting the fact that thugs have a tight stronghold in Ekiti, known members of the opposition will not dare leave their houses on the D day. So we can say Jona is likely to get majority of the few thousand votes coming from Ekiti. |
Cellytones:Yes it's true - They should also begin proceedings against Tompolo and Asari Dokubo for those statements |
If they can gather evidence that PEJ is responsible for the harassment of Governor Amaechi then the courts in Nigeria can send her to prison, it wouldn't need to go to ICC level self. |
but where are the nigerian opinion polls? You know those ones that randomly gather a group of people and ask them who they prefer personality wise? Those are often more reliable because of the way data is selected, then you can adjust the results for bias. Why don't they have political analysts in Nigeria self, we are always desperate for news on ground and fed up of constant propaganda. |
anonimi:please show me a video where he made these accusations. |
iamord:lol - well you will never know. . . . . . . . |
If PDP were indeed the first to start those nuisance allegations then they are truly a very stewpid bunch of people. It is no secret that the boko haram group were mobilized trained funded and armed by PDP leaders in the north. Jonathan will have been vindicated if he made efforts to indict these leaders and have them executed for treason to send the message that it was unacceptable. Instead with what I assume he saw as political gain he ignored the massacre of the people and tried to play down the menace of he group. To now turn around and blame the opposition is just PDP taking the people for a ride once again. We are not that daft. |
iamord:Lol. You will need to gather the millions first then we can discuss ![]() |
people will be selling during this election time oooo - I no go carry last - next election I shall be ready with my own goods to sell to these politicians ![]() |
twoondei:RE: the training aspect - that is not how it is sustained around the world. Maybe only in Nigeria, a junior Doctor has no business teaching anybody things they don't know. In the UK the junior doctors are there to learn and gain experience. They're not even able to independently see or treat patients, they are under constant supervision. To the issue of unpaid salaries - are you saying they didnt actually pay you salaries for 2 years. Or you are speaking of the months when the doctors went on strike and the government refused to compensate them for the times they didn't work? I don't know the legalities of the 'no work no pay' rule but it should ideally be presented in court. Let the courts determine whether you are owed for that or not. If they removed teaching allowances for consultants and senior physicians then definitely there is a problem. Unless one is actually in a lecture room or theater delivering sessions to the students I don't see why they should be given extra allowances. If student presentations are a part of your learning process as a junior doctor then you dont necessarily need to be financially compensated for that. |
you are 100% right - a relative of mine living in Nigeria actually thinks Buhari is still sick in London. I was like don't you read the news ![]() I couldnt not believe my ears - even when people speak on programmes stating facts presenters cannot believe them. How you can live in a country and not pay attention to what is happening around you, esp a country like Nigeria. I guess its part of the elites plans to keep people uninformed and unintelligent. So they can continue to exploit them. |
developing as how? Why do people assume newly paved roads = development. Are you going to eat the road ni? |
loooool Basketmouth is powering Dangotes farms and Nestles factories! How can he lie on social media like this ![]() |
lovely house, young billionaire. . they are living the life! meanwhile - whose house did Chris Brown stay in when he was in Nigeria? That place looked like the bloody Taj Mahal! I doubt this house even reaches the top 50 of luxurious Nigerian homes |
Instead of them to use the energy to fight for better governance. . . . . . . . |

Again , is there no law in Nigeria that stipulates how long govt could employ workers as casual staffs b4 compulsorily regularising d said casual employment
