Jega should only go if there is evidence he has tampered with anything, otherwise they should let him finish his term and leave. |
I'm sure he regrets allowing such a party to fester - in hindsight he's probably thinking he should have decimated them with Boko Haram ![]() |
what is this? Are there more single ladies over 30 than single men? Is marriage before 30 the primary objective of women in this day and age of industrialization, globalization and increased economic power of the female gender?? Who is even getting married before 30 before acquiring millions of $$$? I pity your daughters mehn . . . . . |
Nigerians are soo talented! Esp the architects the materials they use to build models can put anyone to shame! Well done! |
twoondei:I've been waiting for a sensible response ![]() No1 - I 100% agree that workers should be allowed to strike - but we both have to admit that the case of doctors striking is very very dangerous, because lives are at stake. no2 If I remember properly, the doctors were disputing the new grading system that Fasholas government introduced, which they claimed wasn't in line with national standards or so. The second issue was that they removed teaching allowance for junior doctors. I am very unsympathetic to doctors simply because I feel they complain far too much for people that are well remunerated, so you will have to forgive the bias approach to judging this issue. These are incredibly flimsy reasons for striking, I agree with the governments view that junior doctors shouldn't be paid teaching allowance ( please who is a junior doctor teaching?) if anything they are learning, lets not pretend junior doctors are teaching nurses thats a nonsense argument. Even in the UK they will not claim such. Hiring contract staff is a prerogative of the employer - an employee cannot dictate to his boss the basis of his employment. Contract hire (as I understand it) is beneficial to both the employer and employee as they are often paid alot more and the employer doesn't have to worry about long term cost of maintaining staff. It's even more effective if you are faced with doctors that enjoy going on strike without the consideration of lives that are lost. If the government are victimizing the doctors then of course I agree it's unfair, but don't forget these people are very well paid in comparison. |
believe it or not tomato puree - the more you put the better! |
StealthyMe:These people will argue nonsense until the next millennium, just ignore them. |
To focus on the issues at hand - since when do employees dictate to their employer what they will and won't be paid for? If the government decides to hire contract staff then that is their prerogative - and I don't blame them when lives were lost the last time doctors went on strike. They may have a right to strike, at the same time the government has a right to ensure lives are not lost and hiring contract staff is the easiest measure to do so. If these doctors are not happy then they should more to Maiduguri and work there maybe other states will pay them more and overlook their nonsense. kmt |
Jesus I thought they were being repelled? What kind of nonsense is this again? 90 all in one go? God help these people suffering life this!! |
Stop lying to the girl, she better go to Ghana or South Africa if she wants to live a decent life. Heck even the Caribbean beautiful place easy jobs decent infrastructure. Nigeria is an all round bad idea some of us wish we had no links to the place self. There is absolutely nothing positive about it, being a foreigner you'll be taken advantage of at every turn. Someone suggested you find someone to marry, I laugh whoever that is will see you as a lottery ticket! You better not fool yourself, who intentionally attempts to dine with the devil? |
Safe to say most people abroad endorse Buhari - they know why they left afterall . . . .. . |
experimentist:lol dont mind this one - she will last a total of 10minutes before she books her return flight!! |
the materials are at CBN offices so if they really want to damage INEC stuff then. . . . . . . . . . |
Every single person in a position to send their children away from Nigeria for school does so. It will be senseless to leave your kids at the mercy of Nigerian education. Nobody in government has ever addressed this, even principles of schools opt to send their kids to private schools. Instead of Nigerians to condemn it they praise it. |
Swiftboy:That is not true - they had to threaten supreme court action before the ECA was finally shared, what is published is the allocations. |
anonimi:Dont be silly - the FG were looting the account long before they demanded the ECA be shared which is their constitutional right. FG were treating the ECA like their personal bank account! |
When some Obas were romancing with Abacha, this will not be hard to believe. The worst of it is that Nigerians know the corrupt kings but they still continue to praise them. This is what encourages people to be corrupt. Corruption should be stigmatized not embraced. |
tbaba1234:No i dont mean the JTF - i mean the one recording the video - or is he a part of the JTF? I agree - but its a shame we've had to put civilians in danger like this - afterwards they probably wont even be thanked by the Nigerian Govt. |
these bloody civilians!! what are they doing there? They want to get shot ni? Why werent they chased back into their houses!!! They need to move and let the army do their jobs! ah ah! |
mirakecrea8:Did Buhari not tell you the number of troops posted to the Ekiti elections was enough to counter boko haram? |
zicoraads:People don't know that we don't have Nigerian police, we have PDP police |
anonimi:because he had time to visit the scene of the crime with an array of journalists in tow. It's in bad taste - he's not the governor, he's not the investigating officer its in very bad taste to do so. |
turned a brutal situation into a press opportunity. If he truly cared he should have used his connections to contact the FG and get them to mobilize the forces that will fish out and arrest the criminals seize their arms and their speed boats and charge them to court! What exactly is this going to do to help anybody? Fashola said police in the state were diverted for the president, this one again is parading with security meant for the state, Is he not proving Fasholas point? |
kennygee:I don't think so - it will probably be tendered as evidence or something, they can't usually publicize such so as not to attract judgement from public opinion. |
on a serious level the man needs to come and explain how he managed to distribute them soo well in areas of conflict? it is very suspect. . . . . . . |
the BBC reported - that The Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed our president spoke to King Mohammed VI, Morocco issued a press release saying this isn't the case and accused the Nigerian President of trying to curry favor with the Muslims. I think it was wrong for Morocco to give any sort of commentary on Nigerias domestic affairs, it's not their business. So we absolutely need to question the intent of the Moroccans in this matter. At the same time (though Nigeria has never really had a decent reputation) the current governance need to stop behaving soo desperately, Whether or not Morocco's accusations are true we have allowed ourselves to be dragged around in such a humiliating manner. The president is too daft to understand that his persistent trips to Isreal won't be viewed favorably in some countries. Packing himself and others on state sponsored religious pilgrimages. His divisive strategies won't curry international favor. Countries that don't want trouble need to remain neutral. |
I respect this alot - and it's one of the reasons I'm a big Amaechi fan. The only problem I have is the amount it costs to manage the schools, subsequent governors are unlikely to commit to this since they'll be more interested in looting. it costs $2mill a yr to manage the sec school with 700 students and only lawd knows how much it costs to manage these primaries and the students they sent abroad. This is all going to be abandoned by the next governor whether APC or PDP and these children abandoned. Hopefully the people of rivers pay attention to the states annual budgets and ensure the schools are adequately catered for. |
are the trains not reaching Abuja ni? Why arent they using the rail to carry their loads? |
JeffreyJamez:When we have a stewpid government - why won't they. When the west were busy dishing arms to maniacs in Libya why didnt we protest? Why didn't we form strategic relationships to control our borders? Talkless of the ones coming from Iran - it's ridiculous. Ikwokrikwo:I agree - you'd need to wait for all 3 to come out, probably need more than one sniper. 2 should be enough. they were completely open. easy targets. |
it started as vandalism to make ends meet. Now its vandalism for the sake of vandalism. Or are they siphoning gas now? What is the meaning of all this?? |
PapiWata:how did you deduce all that? I couldnt see anything from the video?? |
Imanuelle:looool - thats not his fault nau! |
