Ok. ...
So I flew Ethopian air on 25th of Aug Lagos-Lome-Newark,at 33wks,they asked for fit to fly from port health (paid 1500,the nurse measure and wrote 28wks).
Was really praying the flight is good as there are no much reviews here about them.
The experience: was very satisfying, there was enough to eat and drink (though I bought snacks from Mr Bigs hide for one corner of my bag before boarding just incase, make hunger no kill me),flight was full from lome to Newark but I was good, the infight entertainment was ok....i was pleased and would fly them again.
POE:
Arrived Newark abt 7:30 American time, filled the agricultural form ,was on queue for abt 30mins.

Cbp: takes my passport and scans my finger, though we had to do that like 3 times over, don't knw what d problem was.
CBP: been here before?
ME: No,first time
CBP: looks through all my stamped pages, how long are u here for?
ME: 11 weeks (he looks up surprised) Yes,am here to have my baby
CBP : you having a baby? shocked where?
ME: Houston
CBP : why Houston you got family/friends there?
ME: good pricing on doc nd hopi talk
CBP: how much? (I gave him cost breakdown for doc/hospital and my total budget )
CBP : travelling alone?
ME : yes
CBP : u got work?
ME : yes and I told him what I do
CBP : and hubby?
ME: told him what he does and that he might join me later
CBP : when is baby due? (Told him)
CBP: will he stay till your return?
ME: depends on alot of other things
CBP : how much do you have?
Me: 2300 in cash and the rest in cards.
Stamps me in 6 months have a safe delivery and enjoy your stay.
Cleared my luggage and was going to agric, when busybody officer stopped and asked to see my passport, asked the normal questions and if I was sent to the room upstairs and why my bills was so cheap? I asked him if he'll like to my papers and that i wasnt paying with insurance but CASH,he shrugs and says you can go.At agric nothing was seized.
Took American Air to houston. ...Thank God and everyone here, the American dream is coming through. ..

Just to add...
I think if you really want to birth in the US and you do not already have a valid visa, the earlier you apply the better, that way you get enough time to reapply if denied.

I will not hold back in offering cheap flights info in the light of the recent supposedly naira devaluation. I would have love to drop the info here, but it will constitute an ad for the airline. PM me and get the cost/link of the airline with the cheap flight ticket.

I don't understand what is going on here...but from what I gave learnt here and from what I saw on my own application, for anyone planning to birth B2 should be the first thing on your mind, anywhere B2 pops up click it,at the end you'll still end up being issued a B1/B2 visa class.

@trippleKmama,i think it's wrong to think as long as long it's a B1/B2 (which is actually the right class) all is fine(not everybody gets away doing the same wrong, ori ya to si ori) people have had issues at POE just because they didn't declare pregnancy, especially someone who got the Visa while already pregnant.

Hello all, please my wife is 36 weeks pregnant and wants to give birth in the States. The agent who is working on her visa says he is almost done with all the documentation but needs a letter from a doctor in the states to invite her for delivery and why its important for her to give birth in the states. She will definitely give birth there but the visa needs to be sorted first. Most prefetably Pittsburgh PA, but anywhere would do. Thanks in advance for your helo
In other words you want us to do the agent's work for him?are not paying him? So what's the money you paid for?

Helo mother's in the house, I am new commer here and has been following from today.
Please can I be advised on possibility of birthing in US with $7500 budget including all expenses.
I am due in Feb 2017, and want to be prepared ahead.

What is the possibility of pairing with someone for accommodation, because I will like to go with my daughter of 3yrs.
Will appreciate all feedback and info. Thanks.
It would be better u look for hospital, doctor in the state you wish to birth, then begin to do an estimate of other expenses, like transport, baby's document, tickets, feeding and accommodation to mention a few. Then you'll be able to make a feasible decision yourself. Your can also look up people's budget sheet using the search button.
IMO: U need ATLEAST double that amount, considering you are even going with an infant.

Please stay away from travelstart. i bought my united ticket from them. United has since refunded my money to them but theyhave refused to release my money to me. Send them emails, they dont respond. Call them, they cannot be reached. Wakanow is the best bet when it comes to these issues and they are even cheaper than travelstart. Even if its Dangote who has a seaload of money, i will still tell him to look elsewhere. I will go to their office soon and rake for them.

STAY AWAY FROM TRAVELSTART.COM.NG
WAKANOW is not any better,i have had my bitter experience with them.Stay away from agents
