well i am glad there is a clamp down because it is a huge strain on the NHS. Hospitals are struggling , what ? with MRSA etc , not enough staff and then to top it off women who have rich husbands come here to use the system when they have paid zilch into it. It is so so wrong. People working and paying taxes bear the full impact of poor SERVICES as a result of such people who come in to use the NHS as a holiday medical stop over. Many also bring their aged parents to sap the system , they bring them here under false pretences of ''a holiday'' then they use the Nhs for their surgeries etc. Do you know how many people who have lived, worked , paid taxes are having to wait ridiculously long for diff procedures? Not only African's do it, there are economic migrants from all over, especially India, Pakistan. To be honest it is called STEALING.

RomanceRe: Why Are Nigerian Men Attracted To Carribbean Women? by quinofhart(f): 10:17pm On Apr 04, 2008
interesting debate, packed full of stereotypes . Well its abit silly to say we are uncultured because some women choose or fall into prostitution, mind you it is a job to me. We can not tie people all with one brush, so what if they sell their asses, we all sell our asses in one way or another carribean and Africans alike. Anyway its besides the point.

The reason i think Some Nigerian men are attracted to Carribean women could be some men just want to experience something different, whether anything results from it still boils down to if the two people are compatible and that has nothing to do with where you come from. I personally don't see any major differences in the two Africans /Caribbeans, i have friends who are so Nigerian in nature(whatever that is) it's like i have known them forever. There are subtle differences anyone here trying to paint a general image of both is really silly.

My dear and how has any president coming from AMERICA EVER BENEFITTED NIGERIA OR AFRICA? WHO EVER BECOMES PRESIDENT WILL  still dance to the tune of the people within the inner circles of the real power in America so don't fool yourself,  let the guy express how he feels about the whole thing, what you should have done as some one who is not a simpleton is to have simply skidded over this topic and not graced it with your presence at all. Don't be so condescending to others in future, it exposes your own problems. Chew on that for a sec or two and since you are above such topics do not visit them . bye

you know what i used to sit on the fence on this topic, but not after i saw a forum full of videos of moslems killing people brutally, i threw up all night , they are sick sick sick, the religion is not one bit peaceful or loving in anyway, they even kill their own . They claim that their women's honour must be protected and force them to wear hijab covering head to toe. But i saw a video of 8 moslems taking a young covered up moslem girl and raping her with her head wrap still on . they make me sick and what is sicker is the fact that the so called peaceful moslems do not condemn the action. ask a moslem if they agree with fatwa and see their response always thesame. ISLAM =EVIL
EducationRe: Cultists Are Threatening Me In My School by quinofhart(f): 3:56pm On Feb 24, 2008
omg! lol never seen replies so funny. Some are saying start praying, become religious, go to church, ever heard of heaven helps those who help themselves?. We have a real physical situation and you want this poor kid to go get his head messed up by mind abusers.

Well i would say this kid needs to check himself, if there is anything about his behaviour that may have attracted this event then he should change and lay low for a little while, they will get bored and leave you alone. What i mean is if you go about loud or looking flashy then tone it down.

Maybe they are just opportunists and just trying it on , lay low and see what happens, report them only if it becomes heavy and only if there are effective measures in tackling cults in your uni.
Cult members are a bunch of scared, and less confident kids just preying on others to make them look special, we all know this you would think in this day and age it will become naff to be in cults, its the most uncool thing. They are idiots. Don't worry yourself too much

i think you will find all religion is guilty of one evil or another , its all in history too long to list  from the Christian crusade days to what we see now. When human beliefs i.e religion, faith, become threatened in any shape or form humans will always act irrationally.  From a simple debate amongst friends can explode a volcano of foul  words and broken relationships. One thing i never do with friends or work colleague is discuss religion, a single statement can cause offense beyond the imagination.
PoliticsRe: Who Is Responsible For Nigeria`s Woes, Our Leaders Or The System? by quinofhart(f): 10:21pm On Jan 10, 2008
Hello guys again!

kaycrystal:
@noetic

you are missing the main point here, people only stand up and fight for what they believe in. How many of us believe in this contraption called nigeria?
if we don't first settle the nigeria question, then we can't possibly have a successful mass protest and pro-people struggle as you put it!
OMG! spot on. Hit the nail right on the head.

I really do not agree that the system is a separate entity, it is part of the whole mechanism that ploughs Nigeria on. The leaders have and will continue to leave legacies that will in effect be the SYSTEM.
PoliticsRe: Who Is Responsible For Nigeria`s Woes, Our Leaders Or The System? by quinofhart(f): 7:37pm On Jan 09, 2008
noeti
i do agree with you there. You are right we need to stand up and be counted when it matters, sacrifices have to be made. However, it seems it's the people sacrificing all the time, or should i say being made sacrificial lambs. A Good leader must put his people first, if a nation is crying and want change a leader with a conscience should be able to put self aside and step down or offer alternatives, not stay in there and make it a do or die affair.

Foreign AffairsRe: Obama For President? by quinofhart(f): 9:55pm On Jan 08, 2008
why do people want Obama? is it because he is black? if so then as a black person, if i were American i would not vote for him. Firstly his stance on foreign policy is lacking alot. The way he proposes to shake up the health system is not very good. lastly there is something about him that screams at my instincts and it is screaming no no no He is not the right man.
Nothing wrong with a Black president, but he must be the right candidate.

He won't win, he will go a distance but not far. All the candidates scare me, as America are a self proclaimed world peace keeper. All their proposals for climate change, the war in Iraq do not sound convincing enough. They might as well leave Bush there, caus ethey all skirt around the real issues and use clever political jargons to escape real answers
PoliticsRe: Who Is Responsible For Nigeria`s Woes, Our Leaders Or The System? by quinofhart(f): 9:47pm On Jan 08, 2008
hi oldie
i disagree there, leadership leaves a legacy which citizens follow in order to survive, if the odds are stacked against them. Where in Nigeria we had past leaders who showed us that it was ok to be ostentatious, money grabbing, cheats, liars. They showed that all these things came with no repercussion. So what do you have? people will try to survive, try to beat the system to get what the leaders have, what they have been denied. Look at the way the newspapers, magazinez parade all those leaders with their ill gotten wealth. Ovasion magazine makes me sick. they celebrate every tom dick and harry.

yes noetic things go unchecked. No one is saying rigging and scandals do not go on in the most advanced nations, the difference is there are checks and balances, people are made accountable.

quinofhart:
who do you think created the system? the leaders of course. so to answer very briefly i'd say the leaders are the source of our woes.
i had to repost it , pls think about it. You asked a question who is responsible for Nigeria's woes? the Leaders or system?

Now you can not have a system without an origin. the system is set up and is oiled by the powers that be. Who are the powers that be? THE LEADERS
so if the lovely leaders made a system that fails and causes you and I woes then you can not blame a system but the brain behind it. THE SYSTEM IN NIGERIA IS FRANKENSTEIN'S OWN VERY MONSTER

PoliticsRe: African History Repeats Itself by quinofhart(f): 8:31pm On Jan 08, 2008
I just want one thing, and that is the so called leaders develop a conscience and we the people stop celebrating their inadequacies and life styles.
The situation in Kenya really saddens me big time. Will you guys agree that it is down to the people not being educated enough to see that they are like pawns in the sick games of politics? I am watching intensely at the news on the tragedies and i am yet to see one person from the African community who cares enough to tell the media and people that this is all propaganda. The BBC and its broadcast leave me sick, the African journals skate round the issue.
