internationalman: But as an economic migrants that most of us are, we don't mind staying for overtime as long as we get paid for it. At least till we are solidly standing on the ground financially enough. Burnout doesn't care what sort of immigrant you are. You'll gradually be like everyone. Also companies hate paying overtime so if you're in an area with excess workers they'll hire too many to avoid paying overtime |

internationalman: Lol. Time is valuable in US. Those Americans hate working 1 minute be young their scheduled hours let alone overtime. The weird look they give me every time I opt for overtime 😂
Some people work 10hrs in Nigeria and it's never considered overtime. I think Nigerian government has to have a labour law to protect low income earners in situations like this. Thing is, most people hate their jobs - and sometimes it's not the job but the idea you HAVE TO be there instead of doing whatever you want. So telling someone to stay there extra time is cruel and unusual punishment! |

If he has to pay rent and feed himself and other utilities, it may be difficult for him to save half of 3k...
But, like you said, who knows if the guy is actually commenting from PH😂 Someone earning $15/hr in US simply won't wrote that. Abd notice he said "after one month" - he's been in US one month!😅 What he thinks: start work at 8, get off at 6 (Naija style)=10hrs so 50hrs a week. 15×50×4=3000! |

Dtruthspeaker: Did he not have a choice of either sitting back to managing the kingdom he inherited from his father or choosing to expand his domain to other lands? He chose to conquer and trespass other people's lands. So, he had choices.
And you see you said the word of freewill , "to decide" and Alexander did his own "to decide" Funny guy😅 So if he chose to stay in his mother's house and not even join the army how would the 300-year prophesy be fulfilled? Not only that, did he make himself the kind of person he was. Not only that, any one person could have used their free will to thwart the prophesy. Example, any one of his generals could have assassinated him! |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Bible Prophecy That Made Me Drop My Religion To Follow Christ by QuinQ(f): 6:59pm On Dec 26, 2025 |
Dtruthspeaker: There is nothing to reconcile as free will means freedom to make your choices. And did was Alexander given a choice? Yes. Therefore, he has exercised his freewill How was he given a choice if outcomes were already predetermined? Infact not only him, nobody else was given a choice because everything affects everything else. Example, all it'd take was for his father to use his free will to decide not to sleep with his mother that day, and he wouldn't even be born! |

You dey hear siren of ambulance, you see the ambulance on your side mirror and your brain no tell you to create space. A random biker had to tell you. Some of them self still dey proof stubborn after being told. What a shame! Them no even think say it may be them in the ambulance one day.
Na so one naija influencer called Danny Ajebo on Twitter go use public defibrillator do photoshoot in the UK. Someone who is reportedly rich and exposed oooo. Him brain no even ask if he has ever seen any UK citizen use the public health infrastructure for photoshoot before. This country and anyhowness and zero empathy and irresponsibility.
Respect to this biker. This is the kind of people we should hype and give media attention. But no, na whores, naked people, sexual naughtiness, nonsense content we give attention.
I'm pissed seeing the medical staff in the ambulance looking so helpless. Because they know Nigerians - they know this can be a way to avoid traffic or become the new system to avoid traffic - just get an ambulace! |

Some people don't even have to pay rent or pay a quarter of the rent money if they must. Example is me. The guy is in Nigeria. Only someone in Nigeria can write such. His location is right on his profile. Here's what he wrote: Lol. America is a good country to make money, for my $15 per hour work, just one month I have made $3000, after bills I have $1.5k left, we die here ehhhOnly someone in Nigeria will write this |

internationalman: First of all where are you commenting from. Secondly your experience is not everyone's experience.
My company allows lots of overtime after the regular 40hrs. Some weeks I work up to 60hrs. I get called up to work most times when I'm supposed to be resting on my off days.
Have you worked at the airport before as a ramp agent for Delta airlines? You can even work double most times. Folks on $15/hr comfortably make above $3k a month with lots of overtime and doubles.
Lastly I know a homecare giver lady that works with a client in her home from 8am to 11pm (15hrs) Monday to Friday for $15/hr. This very woman makes up to $4.5 every month..
You people fail to understand on this site that people's stories and experiences are always different. There are some people on $15/hr wages that will have more savings than some on $30/hr or even higher. Of course! That's NOT what we're talking about! We're not talking about "some people" or outliers or some sleep-in care giver. We're talking of the vast majority of workers - the kind of job an immigrant will likely get. Most peoole hate their jobs and wouldn't be there a minute longer than they have to be - that kind of job! |

Secondly, it's also possible if he works above 40hrs a week. Why not ask Google and find out if you'll ever make $3K a month (take home) earning $15/hr. You think companies like paying overtime. They'll even make sure you work less than full time (40hr per week) talkless of overtime! |

Jughead29: The various types of incentives that US gives to its citizens are numerous, imagine $3k for illegal immigrants.
Meanwhile my dear country can't even give it's youth any reasonable start a life package They'll NEVER give that to their citizens. Never! US is a totally capitalist system. They're only doing it because it costs Trump much more than that to find and deport one illegal, not even counting court processes and drama involved. Let's say a broke American offers to be deported to Nigeria, they won't give him shishi, not even plane ticket |
