Meaning what?
The truth is that abroad is NOT one size fits all. For some Nigerians in US/UK the best thing anybody can do for them is find a way to get them back to Nigeria

And the one sold in US is what?
Turns out Nigeria own is healthier!😆 See it below

I have no issues with the price. Quality is the keyword. Call a bottle of coke, a bottle of coke. Refreshing, nourishing and nutritious. I am sure it's not a poison and approved by the counties standard Food association. You know what I mean.
You don't know what you talking about.
Coke is far from nourishing and nutritious

Angelfrost:
Relocating for good is not entirely bad, and I have nothing against such a choice, especially those from war-torn nations.

However, it is one thing to relocate as a child and another as an adult.

When you relocate as an adult, your can never totally uproot your roots... Mentally, physically and otherwise.

You will struggle to fully acclimatise and gain foothold abroad no matter how much you ingratiate yourself into the ways and cultures. So, it makes no sense to burn the former bridge.

Another angle is the uncertainty of the future...! I will give the following instances:

1. The Ukrainian war with Russia... There are people who had been living there as citizens for decades that had to flee back to their former nations... Any of them that did what I counselled, would return and seamlessly readjust back, but that can't be said for those who thought they were relocating forever (whatever that even means).

2. Trump's current stance against Immigrants. The current tide is even reaching for those who legally entered and naturalised.

So, understanding that dual citizenship means being firmly rooted in both places will keep your future better secured.

That Nigeria is messed up today doesn't mean it won't at least offer opportunities years to come.
I see your point but remember that the America you referenced was built by those who left Europe voluntarily, never going back, and those who left Africa involuntarily, never going back. So also Canada, Australia, even South Africa. I wonder if it isn't better to have the mindset there's no going back, so you must make it in the new country.

Only thing is that it is much more fun to be going and coming especially if exchange rate favours it

It's not from our leaders. Even if you make Nigeria a heaven today, people will still Japa. We have serious inferiority complex. Like the saying goes, Nigerians only see Nigeria as a burial ground. We don't mind cleaning toilet as long as we are around the white man. Let Europe and Africa switch continents. Leave the infrastructure behind. Blacks will follow them to Africa even if they have to sleep on the streets.
So why do you think people always came back in the past.

If you are relocating abroad for a new experience, to work with different cultures and gain dual citizenship, then that makes sense...!

But, if you are leaving a good job with great living standards here to go abroad believing you will earn far more there, then you are just too dull and unserious about your life.

...And if you are faring well abroad yet don't have a return plan or aren't pushing funds back to Nigeria to set up, I really have no words for you.

In all, let's quit this Japa and Anti-Japa comparisons or threads...!

They are becoming more and more idiotic everyday.
And why must you do the bolded. Why can't you just japa for good. Just asking

I still prefer here where you are sure of no tribalism . I was sent packing from my job because of two thing in Nigeria in the same 2020 .
First , the governor of that State at the time , his wife told my immediate boss to relieve me off my job because I have worked with a former governor that they were both at loggerheads
Secondly , my immediate boss who would have helped me again to get a job in that state through the SSG at the time told me the governor has authorized all non indigene of that state no be allowed to work ( not knowing it was her my immediate boss who orchestrated that move so she can accommodate her church members after I left the job, who are not even from Edo state.
Since then I have been out of job . Until a God sent woman ( my wife ) came through for me .
Lol, racism is much worse than tribalism. At least there is no "superior" majority race and no one covers their nose when you pass or stand up on the train when you sit near them or sit cramped together while there are empty sits around you, sotay you no dey sit down anymore to avoid all that. Things like that

Working hours isn’t the reason why building dey fall in Nigeria. It’s the greediness that’s in average Nigeria blood..

I’ve been to several Africa countries and I can confirmedly tell you, they mostly build their houses overnight and building no dey fall..
No mind them. They always tackle the wrong thing.
In saner climes construction (especially road repairs) is mainly at night so as not to dusrupt everyday life

Nigerians should be better informed on general living and their rights.

Most of us don't even have lawyers.

We don't care about our rights so much so that we allow people treat us anyhow and go free.

Woman, please, get a lawyer, sue the school.

It's as simple as that.

Will be a tough walk, but you should be willing to take that walk.

Lots of nonsense ongoing in our country.
All you people saying get a lawyer and sue. Nothing works as it should in Nigeria and you just assume only Judiciary is the exception. With money they'll just adjourn this case till forever then dismiss it
