she may also learn that when you employ multiple unvetted strangers; and bring these same strangers into your house ; and let them know you are a been to have dollars they will send robbers and scammers after you.
How do you know they are UNVETTED strangers?
Anyway everything has disadvantages. We will soon read she's tired of Nigeria. Then once back in US she'd start missing Nigeria again grin

Good for her. Some people are busy chasing money in US until they are in late 60s or 70s without really enjoying life---make a lot of money on paper and the government finds way to take most of it back.

She seems to be comfortable and contented with less.

/
And sad thing is, once you're on that treadmill it's very hard to get off it

I am not pained by anything he is doing.
We are only having a conversation like civilised people.
You didn't respond to my raised point but were trying to attack my personality.
What's your raised point I didn't respond to?
Most legal immigrants who went through a lot were actually supporting his crackdown on people who simply walked in, and I don't blame them

Not true. Those class of people will be arrested, prosecuted, jailed and have the monies declared as proceeds of crimes that will then be confiscated.

The people referenced are all classes of people resident in the US who are not citizens or who receive income from the US.
Funny guy. If Tinubu wasn't caught do you think the $1m he forfeited to US would have been taxed. Multiply that by 100's of thousands. Then add all the people working for cash, etc. There's probably more money NOT taxed than taxed.

US would NEVER pass a law whereby people are knowingly taxed twice (except gift or inheritance - which are obviously quite different)

Lol, lots and lots of people. Probably more than that are taxed

Is it only US citizens that pays tax?
There are people resident in the US with work visas that are not citizens whose incomes are taxed.

For example nonresident alien individual engaged or considered to be engaged in a trade or business in the United States during the year
You can be SURE of one thing - US can never vote for anyone to be knowingly taxed twice. This is targeted at people who remit millions of untaxed monies including drug dealers and those working illegally

Of course if you show up to meet someone you didn't know was a minor, how can that be an offence??

How is Trump a master of the game here?
So if your brother is not a US citizen, but has a green card, and he is working legally and paying his tax; Do you expect his money to be taxed again when he chose to send money to his family or sending money to build a property in his home town?
I think it is better you try to educate yourselves on issues that are beyond your elementary Naija politics.
Trump will go down as one of the worst president in the history of the USA. He is more corrupt than an average Naija politician.
This one really pain you😆
I bet you were supporting him when he was going after illegals

This means that the sender is taxed twice. He pays income tax on receivables and a tax is then imposed on the same money when he is sending it overseas. That's double taxation and I am sure there are laws in the US prohibiting same.
This should be litigated in court. The chances of quashing this tax is high.

My honest opinion about this? Too much talk, very little substance. There are too many fintech apps that already provide money transfer services with zero transfer fees. Banks already offer diaspora banking services for like ages now. Nothing new here, more of a smoke screen to create the impression of a novel achievement.
Exactly.
What they should be working on is how to link international credit scores to Nigeria so that Nigerian banks can base on that to give loans, credit, and credit cards. They'd be reporting to credit bureaus so that if you default or pay late it'll be reported to credit bureaus and it will affect your credit.
That's where the real money is

Nope it does. If she lies and you're unaware you may get away with it.

These folks know this and they usually let the animal know the girl is underage and the animal still goes ahead.

That's why they gleefully arrest them with video evidence.

If a child actually turns up claiming shes 24 or 25, the man can send her back telling her she lied about her age, but they make sure that the man is aware that he's coming to meet a child and then bang....

Handcuffs and shock.
We're talking two different things. If you have sex with a minor ALL the law cares about is that you had sex with a minor, and you'll be punished accordingly. Wether you thought she was 30 or she showed you a fake ID that convinced you she was 40, the law makes no provision for that!

You lied!

Jesus knew that it will be difficult for us to agree on who knows better that's why he gave us a means of verification saying:

“Be on the watch for the false prophets (fake teachers) who come to you in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? Likewise, every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit.  A good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. Every tree not producing fine fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Really, then, by their fruits you will recognize those men. Matthew 7:15-20

Jesus said there is a result real teaching of God's word will produce. smiley
What the heck are you talking about?? We are talking knowing the full nature of God and you're talking fruits. Who the heck is talking about fruits?
You don't have the capacity to grasp the full nature of God! Simple. Thanks 4 your time

"Who will go for us?" Isaiah 6:8

That's when Archangel Michael stood up {Daniel 12:1} among all the heavenly hosts and said "here i am send me" {Isaiah 6:8} Jehovah love His firstborn son so much yet he released him for the mission.

mention one road JB did that is substandard here in Nigeria ,there reputation is worth more than anything to them ,so be rest assured that they did a wonderful job whenever you give them job.

This your comment doesn't make sense because you used your emotions rather than fact on it .
ElevationD:
You can keep waiting for China, Vietnam, Equitorial Guinea, Sokoto, Osun painting, as the people enjoy the road constructed for their benefit.

Meanwhile, can you put off shame and tell us your state? Let’s determine if you state governor with his allocation has done such. Ensure that you do not mention the name Lagos or Abuja , as you are not from either areas.
dequir:
Is Julius Berger a China company? Why are you wishing e vil on yourself?

You'd have said this if it was one mushroom company that handled the construction of this road. But it may interest you to know that this project was meticulously done by the oga kpata kpata of them all- JULIUS BERGER with years of guarantee.

Did you also notice paw-paw and mango trees growing on that abandoned portharcourt road Aba??

Mrexcell:
So u think otti is foolish to award the road contract to Julius Berger just name any construction company that's better than them in nigeria today?
yemre:
I hate it when people look for every means possible to discredit their government' performance!

Governor Otti gave a road contract to Julius Berger and it is completed in one year, now awaiting commissioning and all you could see/think of was 'china-painted road that would wash away in a year '?

Were you expecting Julius Berger to deliver a substandard job?

People like you should be living in a remote village that can not see development in hundreds of years!

God bless Gov. Oti for this and some other ones he has done and is doing. I don't live in Aba and I'm not even easterner but we've been hearing and seeing his handworks on social media.

Pls all the other governors should emulate this man and upgrade infrastructures in your region for your people so this development can go round. It's not only Lagos that has the potential for development.

The monthly federal allocation in billions can go a long way and your people will never forget you for all the good things you do for them.

Obafemi Awolowo died 38 years ago. Yet, his good deeds are still remembered till today.
Smartcitizen:
Mkpi, this road was constructed by Julius Berger.

Anyway, have you seen Julius Berger before in your state?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ojiofor:
Does Julius Berger do Chinese product? na bad bele dey worry you.
Wether Julius Berger or Julius Hamburger, all I know is this is Nigeria and these are Nigerian politicians and we've seen this over and over, SO we have finally learnt to wait before heaping too much praise!

You have to wait a year or so and see if it is just China-made painting that will shortly be washed away
