This was when few of my friends and I went to owolabi after we were flogged by miss ebun,our class teacher over noise making.. As silly as owolabi's claim seem to be,we believed him.. but just one of us carried it out!! "Bring out your english textbook"miss ebun instructed After everyone brought out their books. She ordered us to open to some page(I cant remember now)and ask us to read a passage and answer its questions.. Oops I forgot to say,samuel isnt a very intelligent boy,hes always taking the 10-12th position but when he speaks/ treats english questions huh?! You definitely would think this is another sam!.. So,as usual sam always take the lead in english.. Whoever has the highest score flogs the rest,that's miss ebun's principle. "Yeeeeh! Yeeeh" I screamed when sam flogged me..he has always been hard whenever he flogs.. He flogged the others and that was it!! Its just that most of us do have our payback time! Either with noise making(class captain is in charge of that) or vanacular speaking(i'm in charge) or dirtiness(another pupil was in charge).. We always have his name in the list,guilty or not!.. and he gets his a.ss whooped as well. Three days later!! "Gather five students,3girls and two boys including you" miss ebun Instructed the captain "After school hours,pay a visit to Tinuke.. her mother reported to me that she's been sick for some days now" she added. We'v all known those who were going even before the captain selected!!I was one simply because her house is located accross the street I pass to my home.. we don't pick pupils passing different routes to thieir homes on such visits. After the normal school activities,we gathered ourselves and head for Tinuke's house.. playing and gisting along the way.waiting for one or two who branched their homes to drop their bags...finally!! We got to Tinuke's house, her mother welcomed us and serve us soft drinks..she left to call Tinuke in the room and dint come back till we were about leaving. "Hi tinuke,how are you" the captain asked as tinuke sat on the couch beside him "I'm fine" she answered "How are you feeling now? And what exactly is wrong with you" the captain asked again "I'm fine and I had a little injury" she responded "Where? How did it happen? Show us" Olamide told her. Tinuke explained what happened though she dint go into details and lied about other little things but I and one other girl present there knew exactly what happened !! She showed us her hands... "Kpele..sorry, hope your mother punished him" I inquired "No, my dad dint allow her,he said it wasnt necessary"Tinuke replied After a little while, we left for our respective homes. With Tinuke being the hot topic for the next day at school.... |
