Anyone that tries to blame LP’s current woes on the APC is either talking out of ignorance, mischief or both.

Facts:

1. Those who dragged the former LP Chairman and his Exco to court are Labour Party Members.

A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, sitting at Maitama, yesterday, issued an order, restraining Mr. Julius Abure from parading himself as the National Chairman of the Labour Party, LP.

The court, in a ruling that was delivered by Justice Hamza Muazu, equally barred Umar Farouk Ibrahim, Oluchi Opara and Clement Ojukwu, from further functioning as National Secretary, National Treasurer and National Organising Secretary of the party, respectively.

The restraining order followed an ex-parte application that was brought before the court by eight aggrieved members of the party.

Those behind the suit are; Mr. Martins Esikpali John O., Lucky Shaibu, Isah Zekeri, Omogbai Frank, Abokhaiu Aliu, Ayohkaire Lateef, Job Elomah and Dr. Abayomi Arabambi.

2. The person that accused Abure (ex LP chairman) of forgery is Ebonyi State Labour Party Governorship candidate.

Therefore the Labor Party should look inwards to stop its implosion and quit blaming the ruling party for its self inflicted woes.

A spokesman for Peter Obi and member of the LP Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) has confirmed the authenticity of the leaked conversation between Peter Obi and a popular cleric, however Obi’s spokesman claimed in a series of tweets, that it was not necessarily a case of religious bigotry.

Sound advice but like people that are bound to wail, cry and play victim, they will not listen.

When resources are scarce and needs are competing, strategic positioning and alignment becomes a matter of survival and not nzobu nzobu.

However regardless of whether they align or not, I believe they will still get their equitable share of dividends of Asiwaju’s Presidency, just like they got a brand new bridge and roads from Buhari despite hating and opposing him throughout.
