PoliticsRe: Supreme Court Should Release Nnamdi Kanu On May 11th If FG Asks For Adjournment by QuotaSystem:
I love the way Buhari contained terrorist Nnamdi Kanu that thought he could terrorize and lead his followers to take out their political frustration on Buhari, Yorubas and Hausa/Fulani’s through a campaign of hatred, propaganda and violence.

Same Kanu that beat his bony chest about delivering the President’s head on a tray to his people and was throwing stones from afar thinking he cannot be touched.

Intensely satisfying 😌
PoliticsRe: Why Opposition Lost Presidential Election — Buhari by QuotaSystem: 9:37pm On Apr 27, 2023
kokoA:
That's actually true. I really hoped Obi could pull a magic but it didn't happen. The painful truth is that APC won that election. Agreed, there were manipulations here and there but the result wouldn't have changed. Obi couldn't have won with his poor performance in the northwest and north east, Atiku couldn't have won with Obi taking big chunk of his votes in the southeast and South South.
On point 💯

PoliticsRe: If Obi Had Won, Would He Have Sideline The NW? by QuotaSystem:
samsononyilo:
I don't understand why must APC supporters are saying the SE doesn't deserve any juicy positions, what would have happened to the NW if he had won?
First of all, if Obi had any chance of winning the election, we would have known from the start and the NW would have never taken the politically suicidal route of putting all our eggs in only Tinubu and Atiku’s baskets. Obi’s impending defeat was clear to the politically adept from the very beginning (Soludo sounded the warning)…it was only a matter of time.

Secondly, the constitution protects all regions from exclusion from federal appointments, as every state must produce at least one Minister in the federal cabinet. However when it comes to other appointments or political favors that are at the President’s discretion, you cannot reap where you did not sow.

Finally, congratulations on reaching the final stage of the grieving process: Acceptance.
PoliticsRe: Dual Citizenship Doesn’t Disqualify Anyone Born In Nigeria-aondoakaa by QuotaSystem:
I nearly laughed my head off at the disappointment on Arise TV’s anchors faces as Aondoakaa dismantled the dual citizenship and perjury allegations before their very eyes; told them the former was baseless and the latter was just post-election hype🤣

They brought him on air expecting him to say what they wanted him to hear (even captioned the interview “can a candidate be disqualified for perjury?”) but the experienced constitutional lawyer tore their dreams to pieces with surgical accuracy and left it on the floor. He made it very clear that aside the weightless claim of dual citizenship that holds no water since they cannot prove Tinubu is not a Nigerian by birth, it is too late amend Peteru’s watery petition to add any emergency claims. I bet David Hyundai must’ve been watching with his mouth on the floor 😄

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaM2tFXKhGo

In an interview with ARISE NEWS on Tuesday, Aondoakaa stated that the clear terms for citizenship and its exceptions are stated in the sections 25-29 of the Nigerian 1999 Constitution. He stated that conditions for being a citizen of Nigeria are determined by virtue of nationality and birth.

He also stated that this was not a case made in the electoral petition made against the president-elect, thus it is currently not a determinant of his disqualification.

However, Aondoakaa has stated that the issue of dual citizenship and perjury is “hype” because they only came up after the election petitions had been filed against Tinubu.

However, when questioned about the issue of public morality and the people’s cry of selective justice, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria said that though it is valid, it cannot hold water in court at the time.

“The issue of morality comes in but morality is not law. Evidence is needed.”

PoliticsRe: There are Angry, Hateful People in the Obidient Movement - Mark Essien by QuotaSystem(op):
It seems Mark Essien has finally discovered the angry, hateful, insultive and abrasive IPOB elements masquerading as emergency patriots in the Obidient movement…after he was sharply stung for having a different opinion.

We warned but they said they were just angry youths for a better Nigeria….not knowing they were just being used as cannon fodder by some dangerous, unpatriotic zoo-chanting elements with their own agenda.

One by one, they are waking up.

PoliticsThere are Angry, Hateful People in the Obidient Movement - Mark Essien by QuotaSystem(op):
Mark Essien, who recently conducted a parallel iRev result collation exercise on behalf of the Obidients movement, seems to be losing it and has some words of warning to his fellow Obidients:

”There are some very angry people on Nigerian twitter who hate the world. Many of those people attached themselves to the Obidient movement, because their anger is suddenly being hailed. Those people are taking you nowhere. They have their own agenda. Anger and hate goes nowhere.

Many of them are anonymous, or they are jobless abroad. They have absolutely nothing to lose. Align with the activists or those who just want a better future. Not those who want everything to burn, so they can feel slightly better about themselves.

The radicals want to chase the moderates out, but the vast majority of people are moderate. In the end, it will be the few radicals left, kings over nothing.”

Fair point, but religious balance is key in the upper echelon of government with a M/M executive already.

The SS is also a strategic ally + they delivered 800k+ votes for Asiwaju.

Warts and all, I’m rooting for Senator Akpabio.
PoliticsRe: Ousmane Yara Explains Tinubu’s Link With Guinea, Addresses Helicopter Video by QuotaSystem:
“President Conde then invited Tinubu to Guinea about one month to the election for his second term.

Tinubu honoured the invitation and came with a team of economic experts and businessmen, who took time to discuss with Guinean government officials how the country could better harness its resources for economic prosperity and development.
Another testimony of Tinubu’s sterling leadership qualities…no wonder the Guinean President was so grateful.

The AU Ambassador said that governments extend honorary citizenship to important people who may not be their citizens as a mark of recognition of their contributions to socio-economic and political developments in the countries, which does not make such persons citizens of the countries.
Conde should have allowed them to remain distracted as D-day fast approaches 😎

Empty drums make the loudest noise. Consistently.

PoliticsRe: How Obidients Successfully Destroyed Tinubu's 24 Years Propaganda Machinery by QuotaSystem:
Obidients were a blessing to Tinubu’s Campaign.

Their tactless, abrasive mob/ipob-like behavior made Tinubu so irresistible to the northern majority, the largest voting bloc, that couldn’t fathom the thought of being led by a divisive Igbo ethno-religious bigot like Obi.

Add that to the 2nd largest voting bloc (SW) which is the home base of Tinubu, and the election was done and dusted before the first ballot.
PoliticsRe: FG Begins 40% Pay Rise For Workers, Excludes Doctors, Lecturers by QuotaSystem: 10:02am On Apr 23, 2023
amerengues:
Interesting!

This inconsiderate, reckless, and parochial adjudged adjustment will further plunge civil servants into irreparable divide.

The numerous strikes embarked on by the poor lecturers and measly paid doctors had salary restructuring a part of the agitation.

The FG has largely looked away and deem it fit not to increase it even by 0.000%. This inevitably drove the flight of medical personnels to an unprecedented level so much that the very few ones are either on their way or about to leave. Thus, the doctors treating us are younger than the age of the ailments.

Lecturers, being paid 130k, are leaving in their numbers unrepentantly thereby culminating into a further education rot.

How on earth will you do a selective adjustment without these categories?!

How on earth did you have to wait for the end of the tenure?! Is it to score cheap political points?

Alas! What I fear may chance for this nation!
That particular salary structure (CONPSS) was already poorer than the structure of lecturers/academics to start with.

If the gap between the pay of those lecturers and those on CONPSS did not create an “irreparable divide” all these years, then payment of Peculiar Allowance to bridge the gap will not either.

Wow,a well subjective piece written by an mc Oluomo thug sitting at mushin Nurtw park, this Mc's thug is part of those who were used during the just concluded general election that was characterized by thuggery, intimidation, rigging,dis-enfranchisement and Inec manipulation,it was him who successfully snatch a ballot box at a ward in Mushin with only a cutlass, and to my perfect understanding,he was given a good reward after that operation, part of it is the brand new android phone he's commenting on NL with, and few other items.
Information from a reliable source said that this moniker has since been faring better ever since then,he has moved from the face me,I face you one room apartment in that mushin slum to a one-room self-contained apartment..since after the general election,it has been ''this God is too good o'' for him,at least he has been able to go pay for the bride price of the mother of his four children and has been seen to maintain at least a certain level of hygiene so far... people say most times he will think out loud and say 'this general election was awesome to my life,I can't wait for the next general election to come ' a statement he often makes unconsciously whenever he's sitting at a nearby liquor store after taking some quantity of shekpe.
He's notorious for attacking LP members and Obidients in the Mushin axis.. it's all good brother,I hope your next outing in the next four years will be as successful as this one or is it going to be a fatal one?

They should keep arresting him anytime he posts fake news. Fg just got N10m for just one arrest. By the time they arrest him 100 times that would be 1 billion, enough for Tinubu to construct roads in Kaduna.
Not a bad revenue channel indeed, multiplied by just 100 more recalcitrant miscreants and we can build a railway to Cameroon.

Have you worked for an organization like a bank, a multinational like the NLNG, or a government agency like the FRSC before?

Did you just interview for the job, get a job offer and then they hoped that you will miraculously appear on start date?

OR

Did you do get your job offer, then start going through qualification and health screenings, background checks and other activities, trainings, even sometimes job shadowing, in preparation for your resumption?

Like I mentioned earlier, your reply did say a lot about how you rate yourself with respect to your leaders, and why your leaders treat you the way they do
Enough with the weak analogies please. You’re comparing apples with oranges.

The processes for recruitment into political office and the civil service are different and wide apart. The constitution/electoral act has zero provision for those onboarding activities you listed post-declaration. What it specifies are:

1. The winner and President-elect will be declared by the National Returning Officer.

2. Any dissatisfaction by aggrieved parties should be channeled to the constituted electoral tribunal within the stipulated timeline.

3. The President-elect will be sworn in as Commander-in-Chief on May 29, 2023. 40 days from now.

Rigmaroling with watery analogies cannot change these facts, and it remains perfectly logical to expect that the President-elect is preparing for the arduous task of leadership in the next few weeks.

If the contractor you hired to build a house for you and keep you posted on progress and developments hasn’t been picking or returning your calls after he got paid, will you tell people that he’s unresponsive because he's most likely busy building your house, or will you demand better service from him?

The answer to that question will show how you rate yourself with respect to your leaders.
Weak analogy.

1. Nobody is calling the contractor yet because the contract commencement date is still more than one month away.

2. It is therefore sensible, logical and rational to tell people that he’s most likely busy preparing for the tedious task of building my beautiful mansion.

Only pained losers are crying more than the supposedly bereaved.
