Face saving picture! you mean

Has FFK given them the N400bn demand?
Lol are you pained that FFK intervened?

My brother arguing over that would be violating the peace terms. If you need details click the link to watch the full meeting. Just be rest assured that this will be the last time innocent northerners will be attacked in the south. Cheers.

So have they gotten the N345bn they wanted ? cheesy big man!
The pictures of the peace meeting are all over my friend.

Seems you have a problem with them.

What is the position of FFK in Yorubaland?
nisai:
Don't mind him. He just dey try to save face.
It is either you are kids or grossly dishonest and insensitive to the feelings of your people that were already groaning and lamenting under the weight of the scarcity & sharp hike in prices. The reports are all out there so who do you think you're fooling? smiley

FFK for all his nonsense showed leadership, reached out and made assurances of their safety for peace to reign. I subscribe to that wisdom.

FFK after running his mouth like a broken tap came begging at the end. Thank goodness his common sense returned, people were already suffering and complaining on the streets.

Well this was clearly a warning strike and show of force. It is good that promises have been made to the traders about their safety and free movement in the South West from now henceforth.

All is well that ends well.
PoliticsFemi Fani Kayode (FFK), Yahaya Bello Meet As Food Dealers Agree To End Strike by QuotaSystem(op):
After an extensive dialogue and deliberation with the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello, the leadership and members of the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuffs and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria, Northern Consensus Movement has called off the strike embarked upon by her members.

The Union led by the president, Dr Mohammed Tahir, Chairmen of the Union across the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT and critical stakeholders earlier met with the Governor of Kogi State for dialogue which was fruitful.

While addressing journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, Dr Muhammed Tahir commended Governor Bello for wading into the crisis and ensured it was resolved noting the Governor has demonstrated leadership which both parties greatly appreciated.

With this development, the Union members will commence the movement of their products especially cattle, vegetables and other foodstuffs to the Southern part of Nigeria and vice versa.

Wahala is when your supposed enemy is advising you with so much loving care and concern about your welfare & livelihood cheesy

The union chairman already said they're ready to bear the losses as its a small price to pay compared to their dear lives.

So why all this appealing, explanation & begging to reason with you? Why not reason with them since you're so concerned about their welfare and condition of their goods?

BastardWike:
Check the facts above and tell me if this guys are not suicidal. It takes a matter of days for perishables like tomatoes, onions, cucumber etc to go to waste. So, how are the majority of Northerners who rely on proceeds from agriculture going to survive?

When asked if members of the union were not concerned about food items locked up inside trucks in Jebba, Niger state, going bad and leading to losses, Aliyu said: “It would be better to lose the food items than to lose lives”.

“You’re talking about losing goods; which one is better, to lose a life or to lose property? Losing property is better than losing a life.

“We prefer and our people will prefer to lose those farm items or goods than to continue losing their lives. If you are alive, you can plant another thing, you can rear another cattle. But if you’re dead, you can’t do that again. Only the living can go to the farm.
Exactly what I was saying on the other thread.

QuotaSystem:
As far as the traders are concerned, their lives are more important than any losses they might make.

What is the point of traveling to the south to make profit only to seen as soft targets be attacked and burnt alive by murderous southern savages afraid of confronting killer herdsmen?

Only a trader that is alive can enjoy his profit. Arewa will enjoy the cheap prices while they last.
The SW had better tighten her agricultural belts real quick otherwise its gonna get very interesting in the coming weeks from the sounds of it. The smart guys must have calculated their losses during the strike and added it to their N400+ billion compensation demand.

Meanwhile we in the North will sit back and enjoy the cheap prices for now cool

The north is worse when it comes to life/security, I served in potiskum local govt in yobe and I will never forget what happened back in 2011,how ur people killed copers because Jonathan won an election?
The shasha incident will still repeat itself if u keep shielding crimials among u, the seriki of the market should have handed the criminal to law enforcement agents but... and u expect people not to revolt why? Because northerners are special?
It should be common sense that the North chose non kinetic means of reprisal because of PMB and many northerners are angry that they were not allowed an eye for an eye.

Nothing will repeat itself my friend I assure you. Any further attacks on northerners will be met with heavy consequences because people up here are steaming with rage at the last unanswered incident so don't make that mistake. There are hundreds stranded at Oduduwa refugee camp in Benin so direct your energy there instead.

then since they're also come out boldly and condemn their acts instead of sitting on the fence because it means that they're tactically supporting murderous fulani herdsmen terrorists
They actually do not owe you anything. It is your bigotry that makes you think they are the same with the killer herdsmen and thus owe you an explanation.

They're busy enough fighting the same killers, bandits and rustlers in their farms up north to be carrying your own headache on their head.

Your interpretation of their silence is your cup of tea but they have shown you they will not tolerate the excesses of bigoted southern savages in silence.

with recent food blockade to the south I'll say that it's a wakeup call for the south especially the one Nigeriaist.

but that's not the excuses for cutting food supplies to the south.
this is purely an act of war but some deluded mind are not thinking towards that direction because they're busy with 2023 which is not even guaranteed for them.
so they're insinuating that it's either we accept the killings and sacking of communities or risk starving to death.
now tell me is this not war?
Wrong, they aren't insinuating anything.

What they're telling you is that the southern practice of blaming, profiling and attacking the entire ethnic group for the crimes of a few will no longer be tolerated.

They are telling you that they can no longer put their lives at unnecessary risk to bring food to their southern killers. Face the killer herdsmen that are making your people run for the border instead.

They are telling you that all northerners are not killers, bandits, boko haram, killer herdsmen etc. The majority of them are hardworking and innocent farmers, herders & agriculturists that work hard every day to ensure the south has food to buy.

They are telling you they will not resume until you assure them that the lives of every single innocent northerner is safe & protected in the south and they're allowed to move freely without harassment like their southern colleagues in the North. They are telling you they will no longer tolerate the barbaric excesses of some misguided southern savages.

They are surely not saying it's either you accept killer herdsmen and sacking of communities or risk starvation, because even they are victims of the rampaging killer criminal herdsmen.

truth be told sacristy will increase price,
but the north will suffer it too.. cos there would be surplus in their land and they won't recover of the losses they made. most of their perishable goods will spoil so they will lose huge amount in the process. Imagine, an Hausa seller will not rent a shop. He will not rent a room to sleep in. He will sleep in the open space He will not send children to school and pay school fees.

All these shallow lifestyle makes him feel okay selling things too cheap.

Unlike the southern seller who lives a normal life of renting shop or stalls, proper rooms to live in, send children to private schools, etc.

So take your poor lifestyle elsewhere and stop spoiling business for people down south.

Now, our own farmers can increase their efforts on agriculture, knowing that northerners will no longer come to offer uneconomic prices for the same farm products.
