mmsen: They will never understand or allow themselves to see clearly, so many Nigerians are embittered by the experiences of their youth and look to lash out at anyone whom they deem did not suffer as they did.
They don't realize that most people who are born into poverty die in the same state.
Wealth brings opportunity, not just material wealth but ideas. An exposure to better ideas allows one to maintain or grow your wealth and increase your quality of life.
The mentality that everyone should suffer because one person suffered is a regressive idea that should be done away with. Exactly , its a vicious cycle. If you are born into poverty, there is a higher chance you will die in poverty(especially in Nigeria) . |

femi4: Graduates are looking for jobs IT placements are difficult to get Corp members are finding it difficult to secure place of primary assignment.
Yet, you claimed Nigerian youth are not ready to work. Seems the op has never stepped into the country in a long while Exactly, the Job situation is brutal in Nigeria. The only reason being that our government have destroyed our Economy. Why is OP shaming people who chose to help their family out of this hell.? |

PapiWata: Obviously that gentleman was expecting to mount and feverishly hump some fresh puszy as his reward for changing the tire on the car of a sexy damsel in distress, but he wound up looking into the business end of a pistol, then losing his car forever.
Having learnt his lesson, it is certain that the foolish victim will ONLY engage his upper cranial brain, and not his tiny lower trouser-trout brain, next time he spots some fresh puszy within pekker range. Not everyone has bad intentions, maybe he really wanted to help her out. |

bensonlee770: It's high time our teeming youths acquired entrepreneurial skills. No job is secured so far you are being paid salary. Who told you our youth dont have entrepreneurial skills. In my opinion , Nigeria has the most entrepreneurs in the world. The man selling Dvd, the woman frying Akara, your mechanic, market women, barbers, shop-owners, pure water seller, okada man etc. I can go on and on. I know more entrepreneurs than white-collar workers. A successful business eventually needs more people to manage it. Every one cannot 'OWN' their own business. The problem in this country is our government. They have neglected the small businesses and refused to provide a conducive environment for us to grow. Maybe the incoming government might help. |

It is very sad to see that the moderators of nairaland intentionally put lies/misleading titles on the front page just to encourage inciting comments against America. What does this tell the world about us.
It is also very sad that Nairalanders don't read beyond the headline, it is clearly stated in the above post that the United States did not make such comment. When applying to the US , there is always a section that asks about your political affiliation . It is not news.
It is a sad day for Nairaland and Nigeria.
Yes, Nairalanders /Nigerians hate the west but this topic and the following comments are unnecessary |
