The stages of a baked potato: butter, bacon, cheese, bacon, different cheese, bacon, butter, chives

Diamobd:
Happy new year ma. Please can I ask for a favour?

just seeing this. What's up?

Drumsticks stuffed with dirty rice and spicy roasted three -color carrots. My favorite is white, then purple, then orange. Hubby doesn't eat beef or pork, so no dirty rice. Made him an adobe chicken breast salad. Seasoned the salad with olive oil, lemon, salt, black pepper, and the juices from the chicken.

cococandy:
Oh uh. Texas and snow. Pls stay safe out there mama

thanks chicka. These my children seem to have confused themselves with white children the way they were playing in snow today. Froze my butt off so they could play!

cococandy:
If I ever come to your house, na police go carry me out. I doubt they’ll even be successful.

Why did I burst out laughing and getting funny looks from people around me🤣

I'm just here thinking about this snow that is supposed to hit Houston like FML.

Authentic Chinese fried rice. Beef, chicken, shrimp, eggs

Oldest two made breakfast because Mom wasn't feeling good. Son made the steak and hashbrown's, daughter made the pancakes. A+ 🥰

IjeBos:
This is the first time I've noticed it or it was noticeable to me.
I wonder if it's a change in where the majority of meat is coming or that I just paid attention because I was eating more meat.

it's the feed. Plus the meat is really lean, so no marbling for flavor and the reason our traditional dishes are so heavily seasoned.

cococandy:
I have carrot soup with turkey avocado melt on the menu today. I just need to get up and make it.

Maybe this is my sign.

you are the soup queen. You get no contest from here.

Grilled cheese.
Infact, all
Thanks, love

So grilled cheese is really easy. Heat pan or griddle (on the griddle I used 300 degrees, I'm guessing medium-low on a stove), butter and mayo/miracle whip on the sides of the bread that will touch the pan, then the cheese on the top side of one slice (I used Swiss and Muenster). Place other slice on top of cheese with the buttered side out. Leave about 3-5 minutes, flip,
another 3-5 minutes, depending on how hot your pan is. I like to press down when I flip, but not necessary.
That's it.

Turkey-avocado was even easier. Butter outside like the grilled cheese, layer cooked turkey bacon or turkey slices with avocado and cheese, add favorite dressing (hubby likes honey mustard),3-5 minutes per side.

Dinner was a family affair. Made my signature Jamaican Jerk chicken, hubby made the rice and peas, daughter fried the plantains and son made the jerk sauce😊

Looks good.

Abeg, explain how you arrived at that sandwich. I must eat bread this year.
That soup is dupe. Have tasted it before.
Well done.

Which one, the grilled cheese or the turkey and avocado?

Breakfast is a serious matter.. pancakes, hash browns, Turkey Bacon, sausage and eggs

Cold weather, grilled cheese sandwich and tomato basil soup. If you know, you know

(Hubby had a turkey avocado melt).

IjeBos:
So, there may be different takes on it.
I wasn't fond of the gameyness.
In fact couldn't finish a steak at a nice place I went (will not name) as it tasted too gamey.

FINALLY! someone who gets it! I gorge on steak before going home because I can't eat steak there as it's too gamey. Goat, yes. Fried meat, yes. Steak, that's a no for me dawg.

CDCEO001:
