Good that Oando is gaining again. Maybe some familiar voices will return to NSEMPA.

FBNHCO is different from Geregu though. The former is in a strongly regulated sector that contains many competing pears. For example, you can't pump FBNHCO to N200 while GTCO is below N100.

It is probably already priced in. Remember that he bought Firstholdco recently at around N31. He might fund the remaining capitalization requirements of the bank though.

Another reason to buy and hold is CBT. Until the application of the 30% tax is clear one may have to reduce frequent trading.

In my opinion buy and hold is what will pay now in Nigeria oh. The removal of subsidy, building of refinery and liberalization of the FX market is going to do wonders for our economy over the next 30 years. Forget the short term pains, Nigerian economy is going to the MOON.

I actually thought the market will have rallied strongly to the end of the year so that stock prices would be high on 31st December, the reference date for CGT in 2026. But apparently only Ote$ thinks that way.

Thanks for your response. But I find it hard to believe Taiwo on this. Normally the President would not sign a law passed by the legislature without reviewing and formally accepting it, because has the right of veto. And this should not be done without the input of Taiwo's committee. Something must be wrong if it was not done this way.

It helps to wait and see if a resistance level may get broken this time so you don't miss a break out. However for this you may need to combine technical, sentiment and news on the stock.

Alhaji is a close friend of Bill Gates. I believe he will set up the Aliko Dangote Foundation along the major international charity foundations like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Such foundations don't throw money directly into government departments.
