I observe that participants dont't redeem their PH pledge on MMM. I have almost 200 thousand naira with them. I requested help (GH) on the 14th and I have been matched and rematched, yet none of those people have paid even a kobo. Though I am not "poor" but I need back my money. Someone on palmchat advised me to forget it but I just can't.

Ok I would have liked to use myself as case sturdy but that wont be fare so I will use the average. All hustling in the eyes of the law would be illegal ,I don't mean as in 419 or selling narcotics, it might involve working in the black market ie no papers or borrowed papers.Yes if you are 23 years then you can hustle for 5 years with self discipline.Thats for a man who knows where they are coming from and where they are going.
I make an example. Two brother hustled in 9ja and saved up and traveled to the UK, rented a big room for £510 a month for two fo them this included al Bills.the both working for a building/construction firm and are doing the london cross rail project, this is going on for 7 years..They earn £9/hr work Mon-sat. thier take home is £1850 after tax, they save £2000 monthly between them and send back to 9ja.Aprox (N700k)
So if they do this for 40 months only they save N28M between them, this is 3 years 3 months. Now waht I just told you is what two of my smallies are doing here in London and they are 2 years into it, and are going back to Nigeria for good this time next year.Even me wey be baba Agba run come back here come work collect ££ as £££ get power now. This is same storey for most Nigerians in the UK wahtever job they are doing E make sense right now cos of exchange rate which is £1 to N350.Al these are honest monies no back hand bribe or 419.what I gave was an illustration for a hustler not a professional, for that the stakes are even higher.

I get you point and I am so proud of those 2 guys anywhere in the world doing what they do and would definitely not knock their hustle...... In the case of Italy, there is the first issue of language barrier so working in a building/construction company might not be possible to start with.... Things are very hard for foreigners in Europe these days.... The things we could get away with in 1998 or even 2008 is almost impossible to do in 2015.... typically, what I have seen is that a 23yrs old guy who firsts gets to Europe will be very open and willing to do any kind of work... but after a few months or a year, because he has made some friends and knows his way around, he would look down at that particular job as something degrading..... not to talk of being stuck there for 5years...

Also remember that just because a person doesnt

I would like to agree with you on some point however, those people in the UK, US and Canada, are exempt from your assumption. If you hustle well in these countries mentioned you can make good savings as a young man with no family.Send all your money to your bank in 9ja.if you hustle like that for 5 yrs you will be better than almost all of your mates in 5 years unless the ones born with silver spoon or are extremely favoured or lucky.

What do you consider hustling? Can you give me some examples and I will tell you average of what they could make in the US and in Italy.... I assume you will also feed yourself, clothe and have some kind of accommodation while you are there... 5 Whole years of hustling? 5years is not beans o..... unless you are referring to hustling in the illegal way then that's a different matter altogether ....

I am currently stucked in the middle with my head hurting so bad from thinking progressively..

I had a 2.2 in metallurgical and materials engineering and with this system of employment in nigeria- massive graduates, limited jobs, I must confess that i am forced to look elsewhere for my lifetime opportunities..

i believe in myself...YES i do!!! however, quite obviously, my chances of been gainfully employed are low, that is even if they meagerly exist..

so... i have made up my mind... perhaps, because i am still very young or because i am from a lowly background where my father nor my relative can give me a huge amount of money to start a lucrative business..therefore, i want to go all out by myself..

now.. i have two resolutions..

should i go for an eighteen months full time master program to supplement my 2.2 or take this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go hustle for myself abroad..??

which is better??

matured advice needed with experiences...
how did you made it to the top on your own especially when you started from the rock bottom??

Mods please help a brother get to canaanland by doing the needful

My brother ... or sister... anybody who tells you otherwise is not your friend.... How can you even compare getting Masters degree to going to hustle as a modern day slave in a country that you cannot even speak their language? You have a 1st degree in metallurgical and materials engineering and you want to go wash toilet in Europe? Why not wash toilet in Nigeria since you just want to make money and put your degree in the trash? Please do not make the mistake of a lifetime.... I know hundreds of folks in the US and Europe who are regretting that decision they made when they were young to run away from Nigeria and the same guys they left behind are now Bank managers, Engineering Managers or running very successful business all over the Nigeria.... They visit the US and spend dollars as if it is Naira......If you believe in yourself like you said, you shouldn't even giving it a 2nd thought. Go get your Masters and make sure this time you give it everything you got and become the best student in the class..... Doors will open for you....

Please forget modern day slave work in Italy and focus on making yourself a better candidate for employment with your initial plan of getting a Masters....

Hello Spyder.... I need help o... I have a plot at Ogombo Lagos in the relatively dry part and because omonile have been giving me issues lately, I want to secure it more with building the cheapest 2 units of 1bedroom miniflats..... The quote I received was ridiculous... it even cost more than the cost you have what you have spent for your duplex....

Please can anyone who have built one in the past give me a range of what it could cost? I am building the cheapest possible just to secure the land... not trying to spend too much again...

There's your answer bro, I just reasoned over myself...I don't want to be tied down to specific companies and fields, besides it's already getting saturated and salaries ate expected to fall in the next few decades

It is a personal choice and I understand it if you are not interested in the Oil and Gas industry....sometimes its not always about the money......computer engineers are also doing very well out there these days and most of them really love what they do..... I have been a chemical engineer for over 15yrs and so far, I have been fortunate because I have absolutely no regrets with my choice of career in the ONG industry......

Stick to your choice and become the very best Computer engineer out there...... Good luck bro

I changed Majors from Petroleum Engineering to Computer Engineering this year, I'm not sure if that's the right choice yet.

But I certainly don't want My Job opportunities to be tied down to a particular Region. Also, if you harbor Office jobs, this could be for you. There's the issue of overexposure and danger to your sperms, but Fvck your Goldigga on time and you should be okay tongue

Overall The Monetary benefits outweigh the disadvantages.

Why did you change from Petroleum Engineering to Computer Engineering? Did you talk to professionals about this before you made the change? I hope you know Petroleum engineers are the highest paid engineers in every country in the world.... countries who have oil..

I was opportuned to see them in action at berger area of lagos where they seized the wares of some fruit sellers for trading in a place not marked as a market. Before you take pity on the traders for losing their wares, just know that they have since returned to the same spot with their lawlessness.

If it is the security issue, I believe Buhari can still do a better job than Jonathan. Our current president does not care about human lives. Everyone in the country are now so numb to the news of people getting killed, blown up or kidnapped that it is a shame.... Are we in a civil war that people have to get used to this way of life? Jonathan is a disgrace to human life.
Politics / Nigeria's 'disgrace' That Neighbors Must Take On Boko Haram: Buhari by rakumiii(m): 7:29am On Feb 07, 2015
By Julia Payne

ABUJA (Reuters) - It is a "disgrace" for Nigeria that its neighbors have been more successful in battle against its Boko Haram insurgency than its own army, opposition presidential candidate Muhammdu Buhari said in an interview a week before the election.

Troops from neighboring Chad, Niger and Cameroon, all much smaller and poorer than Nigeria, have been battling the Islamist militants who have seized territory in northeastern Nigeria in a five-year insurgency.

Thousands of Nigerians have been killed and 1.5 million displaced in the uprising by militants known for executing and kidnapping civilians.

"It’s a big disgrace for Nigeria. It is now Cameroon and Chad fighting the insurgency more than Nigeria. We will build the capacity and Nigeria should be able to secure its territorial integrity," Buhari told Reuters.

A former military ruler, Buhari is hoping his strongman reputation will resonate with voters disheartened by incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan's failure to tackle the insurgency.

The election itself, set for Feb 14 although there has been talk of possible delays, will be another big test of security in Africa's most populous country. Eight hundred people died in violence after the last election in 2011.

In a country where the population is about 50 percent Christian and 50 percent Muslim, Buhari is a Muslim northerner and Jonathan is a Christian southerner.

Buhari said that he was committed to using the courts if there are irregularities in the voting, and would not call his followers into the streets.

"I'm optimistic that I won’t lose. But we signed an undertaking that it will be violence free," Buhari said. "We are attempting to stabilize a multi party democratic system."

The country is already on edge over reports the election may be delayed. Jonathan's ruling People's Democratic Party has put pressure on the election commission, INEC, to postpone the polls arguing it is not ready to hold them.

Buhari's opposition All Progressives' Congress insists on the date, saying the only reason the pro-Jonathan camp is pushing for a delay is that it knows he will lose if voting goes ahead now.

"There will be no delay. But if INEC is compromised then it will be too bad," said Buhari.

Buhari said his administration also intends to tackle corruption within the Nigerian National Petroleum Corp (NNPC) and plans to reopen an investigation into missing crude revenues of around $20 billion.

He would also tackle the theft of crude tapped from pipelines in the Niger River delta.

"Our main objective is to secure the country. We will not tolerate insurgency, sabotage of the economy by the blowing up of installations, by stealing crude and so on.... All these things will be things of the past."
