Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Blame Graduates For Unemployment Not The Government by Ranchhoddas: 7:22pm On Oct 21, 2016 |
TheSlyone2: The fact that you base your hypothesis on a general view can't seem to amaze me. Only a myopic fellow will stand tall with his chest high and say Nigerian graduates are unemployable. The fact that you encounter one nunentity doesn't make everyone less useful. Before I pass judgement on people, I always put myself in their shoe. You wouldn't know if the boy in question have no means of livelihood not to talk of going on the said journey. Now to issue proper. You can't just conclude that graduates are to blame for being unemployed. Yes in this contemporary Society, there are no guarantee of job placement and as such your skills goes along way to earn you a living. But does that completely exempt government of their responsibilities? I guess NO. Research have shown that 99% of what ever skill a graduate might acquire to earn a living depends directly or indirectly on Electricity generation and policy making. So if one should go by your bizarre assumption graduates have no reason relying on government even when it comes to dividends of democracy and fundamental rights. Anyway, we all have our problems. You wouldn't know what others are going through til you get close to them.
You don't generalize on sensitive issue like this. It's relative. Well said. They can never understand. |

MrPresident1: Unfounded prophecies?
All my prophecies have been scientific and well grounded.
Like the sun moving across the sky, I have used the Bible to track world events; all the previous prophecies I gave were part of the tracking, it was a process for me, the process of growing, of growing into the fullness of the stature of the Son of God.
20th January 2017.
The son of perdition has been revealed and the kings of the earth have signed their power to the beast. Like the lady said, prepare to get another moniker in 2017. |

MrPresident1: My friend, this thing will do you like film if you are not careful
I never said the American elections would not hold, I said the end of this world would come- 1st week of October 2016, or last last final final 20th January 2017.
The 1st week of October closed with a very strong sign- Hurricane Mathew where 2m people had to be evacuated in Florida (signs in heaven, America being the heaven of this world Luke 21:25).
Now, the very summary of my prophecy is that Hitlery will not be president and Trump will not be president, and dateline for the completion of all things is 20th January 2017 . I probably do not have an idea what will happen in between, but this is the prophecy.
Watch as things play out. And remember-you were warned Hehehehehe...E go do me like film. Na only me dey this world? |

SisterMe: Well dear, William Branham gave the prophecy, he did not know who or what it would fulfill upon. But now , these modern events are being made clear by prophecy. Incidentally, he preached a sermon titled exactly that "Modern Events Made Clear by prophecy" , which can be read here: http://branham.ru/message/messagebdc9.html?sermonum=1122 William Branham preached predestination. What's the point of proselytizing if the saved are already pre-determined. |

so saying atheists leave Christianity because they want to sin is pure hogwash
I'm not really denying that there might be atheists that do but I'm sure going by my online and physical experiences of atheists its very negligible This is not true. So many people are ''living the life''. Believe it or not! |

Christianity Etc › Re: Describe The Perfect After-life For Yourself by Ranchhoddas: 1:43am On Oct 21, 2016 |
hopefulLandlord: lol
we heard it all before
One hears phrases like, "Eternity is so long that a million years of earth time is just one second of eternity." Or, "Eternity is not a period of time at all; it is 'timelessness', the ever-present 'now."' The word is also used synonymously with "infinity," which is just a mathematical way of saying, "etcetera."
but the point here is "never-ending"
even if you measure time my 15,000,000,000,000 earth rotation for each second on heaven, eternity still balances it up
how long before you get bored? the first 500000000 quintillion years? and that's still not eternity
it seems you wrap your head around eternity with no problem
I can't seem to do that I get. But if you can consider the possibility of Heaven, is it now too difficult to think that Whoever created that place would also be able to take of the time conundrum? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Describe The Perfect After-life For Yourself by Ranchhoddas: 1:22am On Oct 21, 2016 |
charix: Living for eternity should start your argument. Majority of posters have already agreed it becomes boring after a few hundred years. Those posters are limited by their perception of time. It is posited that time exists so that everything does not happen at once. The past, present and future happen at once. Have you considered the possibility of time being perceived differently in Heaven. In fact it has to be because we measure time simply by the rotation of the Earth. It's surely going to be different as their wouldn't be time as we know it. So it is quite short-sighted to measure eternity in human years. |

charix: Like I said they can't sit down for four full days watching it nonstop, they'd get tired. Even the act of living which humans consider the ultimate pleasure gets tiring after age 80 or so. I can't imagine entertainment of any sort stay interesting for so long. Who told you they'll do anything non-stop in Heaven? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Describe The Perfect After-life For Yourself by Ranchhoddas: 12:34am On Oct 21, 2016 |
charix: Let me try my hand at this. You say it's about watching TV but different shows on it. The major action here is watching TV, something I can't picture you doing for two or three days on end. No matter how interesting the programming it gets boring after a while. Remember if you calculate all the time you've spent consecutively watching these shows I don't think it would account for a full four years of existence. Now imagine forty years of this, you would tire quick -- if not in a century then two. I was only trying to explain to the other guy that a single event does not necessarily have to be monotonous.
Since you have come, try the premier league or the UCL, people watch it weekly, the same football, the same everything but they don't get tired. Why? |

Lennycool: And you think you'll see earthly things like movies in heaven? Hell No. Especially not GOT with all the sex scenes and violence. Did Jesus not say in the end you'll leave earthly things behind. You better be prepared to praise God for all eternity, and listen to non stop replays of chioma Jesus. Guy heaven will be boring, no EPL, no movies, no video games, no sex, nothing fun at all. No to mention almost everyone you know will be burning in hell. All your favourite celebrities, best friends, family members. The only way to make humans not hate heaven is yo take away human emotions, to make you a stoic robot, and I don't know about you but I don't want that. This is a strawman attempt. My comment was to explain why a single activity continously will not be boring as each time is a new experience. Stay on track dude! |

raphieMontella: its a simple question i asked.. And i do not want your personal ''thought''.. I need not remind you of cases of unending grace in the bible and unmerited grace.... So if a person asks sincerely on his death bed... Will he enter heaven or hell? A straight forward answer is all i need
the bolded....really fallacious.. So if in a comic book..the villian defeats a hero..and people say..it shouldnt be so...then they are afraid of the villian?/expressing outrage ? I am wary of giving untrue answers, so I express my thoughts when I am not sure of something.
What if the comic story is a re-enactment of a true life story, will the people still be right to say it's not supposed to be so? |

raphieMontella: lol...simple question for you.. Based on christian theology,,if i ask God for forgiveness and accept his son/him on my last hour on earth...will i go to hell or heaven?
The reasoning is deeply fallacious... Its like saying i'm afraid of hell thats why i dont believe in it..or something.. It's an unlikely scenario. But God is not mocked, a man must reap whatever he has sown. I like to think the person would go to Heaven though I'm not exactly sure....... Denial is a primitive ego defence mechanism that usually kicks in when we are confronted with unpleasant realities. This is science, so it's not necessarily fallacious. Another defence mechanism is indignation; an expression of outrage at what is perceived to be the injustice of eternal punishment for finite offence. |
