kokosari2: Please what can I do, my husband seems to be addicted to porn and masturbation. He does it at every opportunity he has, even on our matrimonial bed and it's quite disgusting. Please do not pay attention to those morons that are trying to blame you for your husband's behaviour. Masturbation is an addictive behaviour like drug or alcohol use. Addicts cannot help themselves. Your husband is addicted and has probably been before he even married you so you are not at fault in any way.
The first step towards the cessation of this behaviour is for him to realise that he has a problem and also be GENUINELY WILLING to stop. Willpower is usually enough, but if it isn't in his case, then there is little you can do but to take fpeter's advice on the previous page. |

TheSixthSense: I hate to do this but since you really don't understand. You attempt to settle (futile or not) a feud (apparently it is to you) cool and fine. Then you decide to mention me. What does that imply? I'll spell it out for you: Either I am part of those feuding or I am an arbiter like yourself of which the latter certainly isn't the case apparently because we don't share the same beliefs nor do I remember any encounter with you on NL. So if you consider me as a feuding Christian I really take offence to that especially with your subsequent comments. Why didn't you leave out the mentions? And you are here talking about honour. What's that even supposed to mean?
Your sense didn't tell you that people would read without mentions?
Don't quote me again You are becoming increasingly belligerent. I hope all is well... |

SisterMe: No offense at all my dear. Why am I so sure that my religious views are correct? I will answer the question with questions Don't be offended.
Why was Moses so sure that Israel would be free from Egypt so much so that he abandon his regency of Egypt Why was Moses mother so sure that Moses was the deliverer, so much so that she risked her life to hide him? Why was Joshua so sure about dividing the promised land for the children of Israel? Why were the rag tag band followers of David so sure that he would be King? Why was Solomon so sure of his wisdom? Why was Elisha so sure of the double portion of Elijah's spirit upon him when he got to jordan river? Why was Joseph so sure of Mary's story that he took her in? Why was Nicodemus so sure that Jesus was a teacher who came from God? Why was Stephen so sure of what he was saying ill he was ready to die for it?
I can go on and on and on and on.. but I spare you.. I am so sure, because what I believe, I did not receive of myself, I was taught it through someone who was taught it directly from God, the person of Reverend William Branham, who is God's angel (messenger) to the last day church (Laodicea Rev 3:14), who was a prophet of the manner of Moses,Isaiah, Jeremiah, Paul and co, unto whom the Word of the Lord was revealed to "Mouth to ear" by the Lord God Almighty Himself. It CANNOT be wrong, or else GOD was wrong, and God cannot be wrong. If I say anything of myself, that can be wrong, but the basic picture as revealed to God's prophet for this age can not be wrong. Any one that ignores his message, ignores it at his/her own peril. And everything he preached was soundly Biblical, if you really open your eyes to see it. That a person is prepared to die for his/her belief does not prove the truth of the belief, it only shows the sincerity of the believer. Boko Haram, ISIS and Al-Qaeda members die for their beliefs all the time. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Evolution Or Creationism, which Sounds More Logical? by Ranchhoddas: 7:34am On Oct 24, 2016 |
Creationism is more logical: The thought that a Higher Intelligence created the Universe and all in it definitely makes more sense than the spontaneity that non-creationists propose. Even if you want to argue for evolution, it is still more sensible to think that Someone triggered the process. |

Brigham: If you think the two posters above me are funny, click like.
Why people blame religion (Christianity) for the state of the nation isn't because of lack of virtues promoting tendencies absent in religion, but the lack of adequate reactions.
Of all the miasma of corrupt cases hovering around our country's atmosphere since the inception of Buhari's era, the suspension of Jibrin for exposing the rot in the 'house' is enough for hungry and church-dwelling youths to take to the street and lead a protest against organised and constitutional corruption that has bedevilled this country.
Die Religion ... ist das Opium des Volkes"- Karl Marx, translated as 'religion is the opiate of the people', one of the long term effects of opiate is development of tolerance ; religion and its basic tenet that supernatural forces control the natural has imbued Nigerians with a vivid flame of tolerance that has aided the ills of political class. Plenty grammar, no sense...So if we take away Christianity, we'll stop tolerating the ills of political office holders and start protesting. SMH |

alignacademy: How do you define "God"?
If you define God as:
- The Heavenly Santa Claus who exists to
grant you all your fondest wishes
- The Eternal Headmaster always foaming in
the mouth in rage, looking for who else to
smite
- The Weak Master who gives you the "grace"
to take some more punches in the face as you
get trampled upon
If that's how you define "God", you've been
conned.
Those common views of "God" were carefully
cooked up to keep people "in their place"
while the "masters" get their way right here on
Earth.
A better understanding of God will help one
avoid all these scams being pushed on the
masses every second.
Cheers! I am eager to hear your own understanding of God |
