honourhim: He gave them the freedom to choose between good and evil in this world for reasons that he best knows. Before i go further let me make some things clear for the sake of my fellow christians here who may tend to misunderstand me and for the sake of every reader here. 1. I am not here to defend or abuse God. 2.i am not also here to blaspheme against God.
I believe that God couldnt have created with the sole purpose of pleasing his creature rather he created with the sole purpose of pleasing himself first, then favouring us as he deem fit along the line. This is my personal thought based on what i ve read so far about him in the scripture. I may be wrong though. Every creation he made have some attributes of him they are satisfying at every given time. So you are admiting that the conditions of Heaven will be different from the conditions of the Garden of Eden. Yes? |

Image123: Hehehehe, where are non-religious societies? You probably want to refer to developed countries. Developed countries are founded on principles of righteousness and true holiness. Righteousness exalts a nation, nobody promised that religion will exalt anybody. Nigeria for instance is not a righteous nation but many religious people. Religion takes no one nowhere. The righteous principles of love, honesty, hardwork, transparency, charity/hospitality, generosity, planning, virtue etc will always usher in prosperity irrespective of who practices them. Pleasing God is not just in singing and dancing or clapping, or even praying. When one eschews evil and loves righteousness, there will be no chaos. People living in the principles enshrined in the Bible have lesser problems. That is a different matter from ultimate salvation BTW. You know how one is saved(going to heaven in eternity) by now i'm sure. Is it possible to 'eshew evil and love righteousness' without Jesus? |

honourhim: Freewill as given by God is based on what he has placed on ground. In this life the freewill is between good and evil. In the new heaven and new earth righteousness will reign so the freewill will be righteousness based.
I ve always said it that there is no absolute freedom anywhere. So why did He not just give Adam and Eve the 'righteousness-based' freewill instead of subjecting them to 'sin-based freewill' and condemning unsuspecting billions of people to eternal torment in the process. |

Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Joh 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? Act 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 1Jo 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. Jehovah's witnesses deny the personality of the Holy Spirit, their believe that all the 'miracles' in other denominations are Satan-inspired, they believe that you all are going to be destroyed at Armageddon(whatever that means). Do they still get to make your heaven? |

Aviero: This night, I witnessed determination, passion, and love for the game in its purest form, in a way I have never seen before. I saw in Ronaldo what I've never seen in anyone before.
I now have a clearer picture of what it means to fall and get back up. I have seen first hand that determination and refusal to accept failure can produce victory.
As someone rightly put, "Ronaldo has taught us that whatever situation life puts us in, we should give it our best shot. We can be the best in whatever situation we find ourselves".
Ronaldo is an embodiment of everything good and righteous. Everything man needs in life to stay up.
We all saw it. The will to succeed!
The world has never seen a better player on and off the pitch. When you're useful on and off the pitch, that's what you call greatness.
Ronaldo is the only player to complete a career grand slam (club and individual honours) in two different leagues. He has played under different coaches, had to adapt to different players, different systems, patterns, and he's still remained at the top of world football. He has destroyed everywhere. That's beauty!
A player! A leader! A legend! The Greatest Player Ever!

honourhim: The Adam and Eve scenario is a different case and has played its role in life. The next phase of life will be different because God will create a new heaven and a new earth. Here is the scripture - . 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. So people in the new heaven and new earth will be UNABLE to use their freewill for bad. How then is this freewill? |

Amberon11: Notice I never said "Christian heaven or hell". I said hell and heaven. There's no denominational hell.
That being said, 99.9999% of Muslims who have visited heaven or hell saw what matched the "biblical" descriptions of heaven and hell. They never had experiences matching the Islamic descriptions of heaven and hell. That invariably explains why no one has ever seen the 72 virgins and neither has anyone seen Mohammed. In fact they believe Mohammed is currently in hell, hence their prayers for the prophet to be granted jannah (heaven) by Allah.
But majority of those who have had divine visitations have seen Jesus.
Yes! reincarnation happens but I won't go into details due to your carnality as it would be pointless.
Anything else?? Carnality indeed. What about the 0.00001% and why do the christian heavenly visitors come back with varying accounts of heaven? |

Amberon11: Per the bolded, there has been hundreds of evidences but people have chosen to deliberately ignore. I tell you, there is a heaven and a hell. Not because I read it a bible but because I have things with my own eyes. The best proof is to seek Christ yourself. Christianity is the only religion that guarantees you proof of the afterlife while you're still alive. There's no book that is big enough to contain the things I've seen.
People have NDEs (Near Death Experiences) everyday. Hundreds of thousands of people have seen Jesus physically: not just Christians but people from all walks of life ( Muslims, Christians, hinduists, Buddhists, old, young, etc) but the west has labelled them "schizophrenics".
Make research for yourself and you'll see the irrefutably evidence of the existence of God. But always have it at the back of your mind that the best evidence of Christ is to have a personal encounter with him. There are also evidence for the Muslim hell as well as evidence for re-incarnation. Are they false? |

Richirich713: It means they intuitively know what is right and what is wrong, what they ought to do and what they ought not to do. Only brainwashing an individual will change that.
U can but we all break that law, therefore we must be judged, that's the right thing to do. God is the perfect judge, meaning he punishes all sins. I dot not. I know intuitively to treat all men as I would want to be treated. Why do I need Jesus? |
Christianity Etc › Re: 20 Reasons To Abandon Christianity by Ranchhoddas: 5:50pm On Jul 09, 2016 |
Richirich713: They never heard the gospel but they have the law written on their hearts. And it's according to that they'll be judge. Every human being intuitively knows what is right and what is wrong, what they ought to do and they ought not to do, and they ought to love their neighbor as they love themselves.
As for Saudi Arabia, it depends on whether they rejected the true gospel, not a false version of it. And what's also critical is the information they had when they choose to reject Jesus. What does it mean to have the law written on their hearts? The only laws they knew were the laws of their land. Can I not love my neighbour without Christ? |
Christianity Etc › Re: 20 Reasons To Abandon Christianity by Ranchhoddas: 5:20pm On Jul 09, 2016 |
Richirich713: It's possible to live an overall moral life without Jesus, but by rejecting him, u choose not to be with God. So all our ancestors that lived before christianity came to our shores chose not to be with God. Everyone in Saudi Arabia has chosen not to be with God. Is this your position? |
Christianity Etc › Re: 20 Reasons To Abandon Christianity by Ranchhoddas: 5:13pm On Jul 09, 2016 |
Richirich713: Whoever rejects Jesus, rejects salvation, therefore that person is still in his sins. So it's impossible to live a moral life without Jesus. |
