PoliticsRe: IOCs Selling Crude At $4 Per Barrel Above Market Price — Dangote by RandomFellow: 7:35am On Jul 18, 2024
These international trading arms are non-value adding middlemen who sit abroad and earn margin from crude being produced and consumed in Nigeria.
Wow! My neighbor produced yams from her farm, a very bountiful harvest. She's selling her yams. It's not cheap. I want to buy the yams at market rate from her. She refuses to sell to me, but insists I look for a shop owner in the market, let that shop owner come and buy from her, then sell to me.

No... The shop owner is not selling to me at the price he bought; he's selling to me at a premium, in addition to the market value I should have paid if I bought directly from my neighbor. This premium, has nothing to do with Nigeria law or government. No value added, no tax paid, no CSR, nothing!!! Just earn free money from me!!!

Oh... That shop owner turns out to be my neighbor's younger brother. The shop even belongs to my neighbor.

Again, I say WOW!!!

PoliticsRe: Minimum Wage: Be Patient With Tinubu, Onanuga Pleads by RandomFellow: 5:57am On Jun 25, 2024
I'm not a Tinubu supporter, but NLC are so unrealistic with their demands! Are they aware that increasing the minimum wage actually means increasing the salaries of everyone employed by the government? Where do they expect the federal government or even state governors to get such funds? Imagine the cleaner earning 30 is now earning 250k; what do you expect a supervisor earning 80k to start earning? 300k? Now, what will a deputy director earn? 500k?750? Director? Perm sec? Where will Naija get such kind of money to pay people that will still expect tips for them to do their jobs? Abeg make NLC go sidon🙄🙄🙄

"Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” is a figment of her unending imagination - no such word exist.
Oto- Ear
Rhino- Nose
Larynx- Throat (to trachea)

The Otorhinolaryngologist is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist. They can also be called Otolaryngologist (ear and throat; without the nose-"rhino"wink.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious... I only typed superc on my phone, and the option to complete it came up. That alone signifies that the word is correct, even thou it might mot have applications in real life settings cheesy.

Another crazy word is the pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis

You people just come online to comment nonsense. I bought almost same quantity of tomatoes on Sunday same as that of op for 1500. I almost thought my seller was cheating me till i priced round the market & discovered his own was even cheaper. Tomatoes is very expensive in Abuja right now.
I bought carrot, green peas, green beans and spring onions for 2k on Sunday night. I swear, what I got wouldn't normally exceed ₦300. I couldn't even buy Raddish ooo... Cucumber starts at 300. You know those shrunk small cucumbers that you throw away when they use it to give you jara. Yes, that's what they now sell for ₦300!

Comments like this are how you know the problems of Nigeria. The lazy youths who have never experienced the joy of planting something and watching it grow and later eating it fresh from the farm/ garden! Always eager to leap to insults to cover up for their laziness and inadequacy.

Plant what you can first and break this ridiculous dependence on rice that we have now cultivated. When we were young, rice was Sunday food and one other day of the week, now people eat rice everyday, a food that doesn't grow well here and dumped farming altogether and expects their economy to thrive.

Madam please just shut up. You don't expect everyone to become a farmer. I have things I plant in my backyard, many did not even germinate because the land does not favour their growth. So tell me how you expect me to plant irish potatoes at my backyard, or cabbage, or even carrots. I bought about 20 sticks of green beans for ₦500! That shouldn't have exceeded ₦100 on a normal day! 5pcs of shombo pepper for ₦200; that was like ₦ 20-50 some 12 months ago! Sooo... How do you expect the poor to feed?

Someone came to look for job at my office. A beautiful young lady. She has a job, but wants some other employment to leave her current employer. Her reason? She has to resume at 7am and close at 10pm, Monday to Saturday! How do you expect such people to farm?

Please be human! Stop talking like an idiot!

An Obidient spotted.

Never happy. Filled with hate and a thousand sorrows.
Your comment is really faulty brother. I am obedient, but I'm very happy with this news. It gave me goosebumps, because I know what Sandhurst means to a military man. Then the First Lady recognises a young girl who might even have her family members in the opposition speaks volume (and I'm impressed).

So calling out a solitary dissenting voice and tagging it as the voice of Obidients with that write-up feels rather faulty. That might even be the voice of a batist!

I'm Obidient, but I support Mr President. What other options do we have if not to wait till the next election? Until then, PBAT is our president; and not every dissenting voice is an Obidient. Not every Igbo man is Obidient, nd and not everyone will be happy with a "good" news.

EntertainmentRe: Supreme Court Rules On 13 Years Suit Against P-Square, Awards ₦‎1 Milion Cost by RandomFellow: 8:34am On Apr 28, 2024
Oh my... If only Mr Patrick Arueze had sued for a compensation in Dollars. Ahhh...

In 2011, ₦25m was about $160,000. Today, that money is worth about ₦192m.

But why was the case allowed to linger for 13 years?
It is safe to say that justice delayed is justice denied.

In 2015, 25m would have bought 5 units of appartments in NAF Valley Estate. Today, 100m may not be able to buy just 1 unit! This man has lost the value of his investment in this suit.

Snitch...

But Emefiele did wrong for not rewarding him! If he had given him tips or rewards (which he could do so well), this guy would have disappeared!

Imagine Emefiele gave the guy a bonus in form of a house, or when the guy brought cash, Emefiele said "how much is there?". The guy replies "850k sir". Then Emefiele says take 5k there, buy a car for your wife. Or he says "where do you live?". And the guy replies "Surulere". Emefiele says I have a house in Ikoyi, here's the Title Deed, I dash you. In this life and the next, the guy will worship Emefiele, and never snitch on him.

But no, Emefiele is the typical thief. Eat alone, die alone!

Tip that house help, security man, cleaner, office clerk, etc. You would be shocked at the amount of Valuable information the have to offer you (for free). Some of these info can even save your life!!!

Naija, a country where life is cheap and anything goes.
Just this afternoon, I told my wife that Jnr Pope did not die of drowning, he died of ignorance. Ignorance of Nigerians! What was he taken to the mortuary for in the first place? Who certified him dead? What CPR was done? For how long? By who? Then from mortuary to river goddess, then to the hospital! Damnnnnn... An avoidable death.

And then one baskard said he survived because he offered fanta and 10k to the river goddess? Such a cheap, gluttonous and worthless goddess who would kill several people because she was not given fanta of #400.
