This are two different areas and they are not in the same electricity consumption category! And for the effect on the economy, it's always normal, change comes with a lot of bargain. The government should do the right with funds saved to improve the economy so people's purchasing power can be enhanced and they can buy your product comfortably

I lived at Lugbe before moving to Bwari. Lugbe has some of the biggest boys in Abuja. Senators and Rep Members live in River Park. Go towards Trade more, and you'll see some estates that can compete with almost any estate in Nigeria. My point? Because they live in Lugbe doesn't make them poor; and because I complained about the hike doesn't mean I can't afford the units.

The hike will affect quite a lot of businesses that rely on electricity. Inflation will happen because of this hike. I, personally, have increased my grooming. I used to do 10k as at January, ended March at 15k. Well, I'm jerking my services to 25k, effective yesterday! My customers will pay, they always do. The increased rates will cover my costs both home and office. However... How many Nigerians can be like me? Bakers use electric ovens to bake these days. What do you think will happen to the price of bread? Next Cash and Carry bread was 1,800 last week. Let's see how much it'll be by tomorrow

I said make I put your complaint to test now. I already knew that I'm on band A, 1000 naira used to give me 10 units before (N100 per unit) till this morning when I tested yesterday's information on new tariff by recharging 5000 naira that gave me 50 units, 12 units was for prepaid meter refund (I should have recharged 50,000 naira this morning, chai!)

So, I put your complaint to test now. 100 naira gave 0.4 unit . This means that I need N250 to get 1 unit (kwh).

If I knew, I would have done 100k sef. Buy like 1,360 units. Alas... No rewinds😭😭😭

I'm very sad this morning. I bought 10k worth of electricity units, and got only 41 units. I bought 5k worth last week Friday, and got 68units!!! I told a friend, and she decided to do 1k. Well... She got 4.1😭😭😭. We didn't even know we are on the BAND A! We barely get 12-15 hours of power daily. Some days, we don't even get 10 Hours! Ahhhh!!! AEDC, I don't want to be in Band A anymore 😭😭😭, take me to Band F! BAND Y seems like a good idea right now.

5k worth finishes with in a week or so in my house. I'm just an average random fellow on the street, trying to make ends meet.

I have to admit, being a good citizen doesn't pay anymore ooo... Ahhh... AEDC... 41 units for 10k? Are you trying to send me back to the village? Do you know how many jobs I have to do to raise that 10k? Is there something we should do that we are not doing? Tell us ooo, AEDC tell us what to do; because I'm not ready to start paying an upward of 70k for power in a month. I'm sorry, but you know what I'm planning right? No vex

Some people living in Dutse Alhaji (Bwari Area Council) Abuja enjoy 23hours electricity. They don't even know they're on Band A! My point? Some of these guys can't even pay their rents of 300, maybe 350k! They buy electric units of 1,000; just to get by. 1k unit was 14 units or something like that. With this new increments, they'll get 4, maybe 5 units for 1k!
