I even messaged them but no reply. How can I get my $17 please? Login to your account. Click on marketplace. You will see available balance. Click on cash out. It will take you to a page where you will fill your payment details. I have not used this before and I don't know if SAV has a limit you have to reach before paying out, my own $4 sef still dey there. |

How were you able to sell yours? I have an end-user insisting she wants to use Godaddy to make her purchase.
Was there something you did to make it work? Do you have a GoDaddy auctions account? If you have, list It in the auction marketplace with a bin price, then send the list to her. You can do some Google search to find out how to go about using the BIN option |

Bloodofthelambo: sorry to bother you further boss, please; Which do you prefer personally and why? Are there no sites cheaper, like $1 or a little higher,so i can buy multiple, I read were it was stated that one could buy for that price, but there was some risk.. things are really rough down here right now.
Help out boss, I want to start. There are no $1 domains currently. I prefer registrars that Dan have an escrow account with. I prefer listing with all the marketplaces I mentioned. I only increase the price by about 20% when listing on Afternic because of their high commission Why? Because I get my money even when the domain is less than 60 days |

Sapiosexuality: I agree with your first sentence. Since I started domaining I've not sold any of the names I picked as a result of someone else's success story.
These were mostly names I picked in my newbie year. None was sold. It doesn't matter the niche or what was sold. Web3 or, Nft o, anything as long as it's just an adjusted copy-and-paste. Lol.
None even got an offer so I learned about a year ago to refrain. I don't know if it is a curse lolol. To newbies, this doesn't work but I'm sure many will not listen. Well. I had a complete opposite experience as you. I have sold domains I derived from these so called Copy-and -paste method. About 5 to 6 domains. As a matter of fact, my first three domain sales was gotten using this method of copying what someone else sold. We've also seen similar cases of this on this thread. It may not work for you and work for someone else. |

YoobaNesan: @Crazeworld, someone asked a question but got banned due to some Nairaland algo disliked terms, you/anyone may help answer it. He says, "If I want one of my domain on name(.)cheap to point to my D(.)an portfolio page, do I need to opt for an hosting plan on Name(.)cheap?" No. You just need to change the Name. Cheap's nameservers( Name. Cheap basic DNS) to Dan's (Ns1.dan.com and Ns2.dan.com) Modified: Just seeing the bolded. What you need to do is to copy your Dan portfolio page URL and forward that Name. Cheap domain to the url. A little Google search would assist you in doing that. Just Google "NAme. Cheap domain forwarding" |

From the recent discussions, I think the best thing to do when pitching non-premium or non-popular domain names to end users is to price reasonably and give them the room to make an offer.
Probably Mid 3 figures.
But if you're waiting for an inbound offer, then you can price higher. |
Business › Re: What To Do To Make Money Online? by Rankett: 11:09am On Jul 06, 2022 |

HIGHESTPOPORI: Does whois shows Nigerian? because I have some domains on Epik that are been checked on whois by endusers Domains registered with GoDaddy would show your name and your country unless you have whois privacy enable at $9+ per year. Some registrars like dynadot, Epik, name silo etc are free. |

therealMcCain: I had a similar experience, she was from australia
I quoted 1800. she went silent & never responded to any of my mails again.
Its possible the price was too high for them and they felt, they couldnt negotiate
same way you go to the market and hear some prices, you go jejely comot because you feel they might be offended by your counter offer. Probably. I think a better way to go about it when they ask for price is to quote a price and let them know you are open to offers. Since you were the one that went knocking on their door. There are even other end users for the domain name but none of them replied. I will try to drop the price to high 3 figures then wait for an inbound. |

therealMcCain: What has been your experience with Closeout Domains? I've bought only one domain from closeout. Sent an email to the owner of the singular and hyphenated version. The man said "Yes what is your offer?" I replied: "My asking price is $2500". Baba don japa since then. Did like 2 follow ups after that but didn't get a reply. Last Follow up was April 30. Not planning to follow up further because I don't want to look desperate. Planning to renew and wait till he reaches out back to me. Some notes: He might have checked whois and might have seen my father's land. Maybe that's why, maybe not. (GoDaddy).Domain was pointed to Dan before but now currently pointing to GoDaddy. |

Business › Re: What To Do To Make Money Online? by Rankett: 6:36pm On Jul 03, 2022 |
kennypoka2: Money is important but like I said I understand learner's point. Let's say you are now excellent in domaining (Geo + brandables + keywords) to the extent that you are sure that if you buy 10, you will sell 5 at least. That's how good you are for example, I swear nothing will stop you from borrowing money from banks or friends and investing it in domaining. It's not really just about the money but most importantly, the knowledge of knowing what sells. There is a lot of uncertainty in this domain business, especially with brandables. I have a friend that is really good in geo but then invested in brandables (bought a lot) but never sold one. Another friend bought just four, sold two then. If I have that knowledge of knowing with all certainty that if I borrow 2m now, I can get three to 5 domains that will sell for $3k each, omo, I will borrow that money, give banks lies and all. However, business is all about risk, there's never 100 per cent certainty in life. So, if I'm really rich to have that extra money to spare, I will definitely do well in domaining like tony. I wanted to borrow $2k from one of my family member but something happened and I was unable to. When I started domaining, I do borrow like 50k, 90k sometimes and would return that money before the promised time. But the risk factor should also be considered |
Business › Re: What To Do To Make Money Online? by Rankett: 6:32pm On Jul 03, 2022 |
eduevolutionnow: You are very correct. I made over $10k selling geo last year but i never expanded my knowledge, rather i stucked with what i knew. If i had expanded my knowledge last year i would have branched into brandables with that money and made more. Money is imporatant but there other factors that money can't buy in domaining. If you had branched to brandables, you could have made more or nothing. Brandables is on another level. It's better to stick to what works for you until the tables turn around ( Geo is becoming oversaturated) |

BrainRider: Assuming some1 credited you 30k to scale up your domain business today. Can you please in details tell how you would use it? A lot of us will learn from this please. Other experienced fellows can answer as well. Thank you. A summary of what I would do is that I will go into auctions, closeouts and pending delete lists and spend time searching through the lists to see domains given less attention to and try to win it. For example, I will make sure I keep watch on at least 20 domain names that matches this criteria daily, at the end of the day, I might get like 3 to 5 names ( I will have a max budget for all names I'm bidding on or buying) Then rinse and repeat that everyday. I will also make sure I have an offline business so that I can depend on that while waiting on the domains. |

id911: Tony said he started domaining fully with $15k. If I have 15k USD as the base capital to invest in this business, without being immodest, I'd certainly also be making meaningful sales because I know that type of domain names to invest in. id911: I quite agree with you to some extent. Your point was actually clear here. You know what names to invest in so If you have that 15k USD, you're ready to go on and make meaningful investments. |
