20pounds: Nna eh! If I select one of these girls... I don hammer be that. This is better than marrying a President or Governor's daughter cos while people will be cursing you along with your politician in-law, people will be praying for you and wishing you well as you spend their money on party, PJs, champagne, designer outfits(don't forget bleaching and jerry curls) and bullsh1t, as pastor's in-law.

Nna, see hammer knocking on my door. I need to fry my hair well and put onions and Turkey oil when it is done so I can look like their father. I am already yellow and know how to twist my tongue like oyibo. I can dress well and form like say I no dey sh1t...what other qualities do I need?

Romance › 9 Common Cheating Myths That Aren't Actually True by raphy(op): 7:40pm On Aug 14, 2014
1.Affairs Happen Because Guys Are On The Prowl

No -- most of time, an affair happens to people who aren’t looking for it. This is particularly true in cases in which a partner has only cheated with one person. Affairs often begin as feeling really comfortable with someone, like the person at the desk next to you at work. That cosiness is followed by sharing intimate secrets, which can then shift into an emotional connection that's consummated with a full-blown tryst.

2.Affairs Happen With People Much Younger Or More Attractive

Not necessarily. Think of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s affair with his housekeeper. You know what I mean. And Tiger Woods' extra-martial interests. OK, sometimes the 60-something corporate CEO might seek out younger playmates, but, typically, paramours are no younger, richer or more attractive than spouses -- they're just someone new.

3.After An Affair, Kiss Your Marriage Goodbye

Not so quick! Over half of marriages survive infidelity. Although the relationship may break up from other issues in the future, when couples are willing to work together, they're surprised to find they can rebuild the trust. The most common reasons for marriage dissolution, at 53 to 55%, is “growing apart” and not being able to talk to each other.

4.Once A Cheater, Always A Cheater.

Yes, there are some real scumbags out there, but not everyone who cheats is evil incarnate. Many affairs are a one-and-done thing. What happens after the affair can either set a marriage on a course for stability, or blow it out of the water. After ending the affair, for healing to take place, the cheater has to tell the whole truth about the affair. Knowing the truth is the first step towards healing.

5.Affairs Happen Because Of Problems In The Marriage.

Here's the truth: almost every marriage has problems. Affairs don't happen because something’s wrong with the marriage; they happen, in part, because couples don't know how to work together to solve the issues they have. Having problems in your relationship doesn't justify cheatin

6.Affairs Are All About Sexual Attraction.

Sure, some affairs are only about the sex, but lots of the time, affairs happen because of an emotional connection. Sometimes, hanging out together and sharing feelings is as far as the affair ever goes, although it’s true that the sense of emotional closeness often leads to sex.

7.You Can't Call It Cheating If Sex Wasn't Involved.

Many affairs happen without any sex at all. Is staying up half the night secretly texting an old uni friend about your most intimate thoughts being unfaithful? The person doing it may not see it as cheating, but you can bet your partner sees it this way. When you give an emotional part of yourself to someone with whom you could potentially cheat one day, it's cheating.

8.Infidelity Is Never About Sex; It's About Other Marital Issues

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and sometimes extramarital sex is just about sex. For sure, some affairs are just about unmet emotional needs, but for some people -- not the majority -- an affair is just about going out and getting laid.

9.Once An Affair Is Out In The Open, A Couple Can Never Be Happy Again

Not true. Affairs happen, and people do recover -- you hardly ever hear success stories because no one wants to discuss the past. But couples can learn to successfully rebuild their relationships, and many of my patients say their bonds are even stronger once they’ve worked things through.

Distinguishing infidelity fact from fiction can help you and your partner gain a better understanding of how an affair happens, what to expect if one does, and what you can do to prevent infidelity. Truth is a powerful tool that can help you recover.

Romance › Things You Should Not Do On A Date by raphy(op): 9:09pm On Dec 27, 2013
I am going to admit something. A few weeks ago, I think I went on what would be deemed by an external adjudicator as The Worst Date in The History of The World.

Firstly — She was late. 20 minutes late, which is irritating. I sit, drumming my fingers on the table, thinking of all the emails piling up in my inbox and work on my desk while I waste time sitting on my own waiting for a girl I dont know.

The girl arrives and she’s undoubtedly very beautiful. But she’s also very nervous, and shaky hands, not knowing quite what to do with herself when I kiss her on the cheek hello. The first thing she asks me is if I’ve done many blind dates before — not really, I reply. Have you? No. sHe’s new to this. sHe explains to me that he’s just come out of a very, very long relationship. It’s all been hugely difficult. You know how these things go — you either grow closer together over the years or you grow apart — they just grew apart. What about me? When was my last relationship? I tell her. Who broke up with who, she asks. Do I regret it? Why exactly did it go wrong? I am caught off-guard. We haven’t even ordered drinks or found out what the other one does for a living and I’m being forced to divulge more details on my last relationship than some of my friends even know.

I realise this girl (who I think is in his late thirties, possibly the early side of forty) basically hasn’t been on a date before.

1. Don't be nervous
Nearly every man I have ever been on a date with has been nervous and there is absolutely no need to be. A woman can sense it from the moment you arrive and in turn it will make her feel on edge. Help create an atmosphere you would feel relaxed in, don’t just expect her to be chatty and warm enough for the both of you. It’s not a big deal. It’s just a drink and getting to know someone. Smile, kiss her on the cheek hello, sit down, breathe, talk. Easy, yes?

2. Don't sell yourself
You are on a date, you are not on Dragon’s Den. This woman is not Deborah Meaden and you don’t need to convince her to invest in you. Avoid “hard sell” talk about yourself. If you’re a good person, this will speak for itself without giving her an extensive list of your achievements of personality traits.

3. Don't be more than ten minutes late
It’s irritating. People are busy. Wait until you’ve been going out for at least a year to do this. She will love you by that point and will be forced to forgive you. For now — be on time.

4. Don't talk too much
Ask questions. Listen. Don’t be scared of pauses.

5. Know personal space
Unless she has given you heavy-handed signals that she wants to kiss you, don’t sit really close to her and don’t play footsie with her. Relaxed, comfortable body language is good, but nothing over-familiar. Done badly and it can border on threatening.

6. Don't be weird about the bill
Most women I know would assume they are paying for their half of the bill (or, at least I hope they do). However, if you would like to pay, this is a nice gesture and done in the right way can be very charming and chivalrous. Don’t be forceful or bolshie about it — it’s her right to pay for her drink/meal if she wants to. Asking to pay in a polite, respectful way is key.
