ginawest:Later you go dey fight guys were dey cheat. |
Wale drove slowly around Agbaje village, completely held in suspense. It had been 23 years since he last visited here, and the reason for his lack of visit was not far-fetched-- the village was seeped in voodoo and he was not interested in any feud or voodoo trouble. However, he was there because he needed help from the same voodoo he had been running away from. All because of Tade. He was not interested in proving any protection for his son, rather his wanted to satisfy his curiosity on where his son will end- dead or alive. His son's stubbornness had hardened his heart towards such stuff and he decided not to treat the boy as his son anymore. However-- he had an inkling that something great may still out of the boy's stupidity. If he decides to ignore his son, there was always a chance of it haunting him, coupled with the fact that most people won't understand him rejecting his son- even though they understand all other things. He stopped in front of a thicket and came down, took some fifty steps and then entered into an open space. "Baba Esu! Baba Esu!!" Wale called out twice as he was told. Immediately the area changed into a proper shrine, with the time somewhat moving forward to midnight. A short black man with a golden like face coming out of the middle of the space, scaring Wale out of his wits. "You have come over your son's ordeal." He said, giving an evil grin. "Well I have some revelations for you. But first you must answer my questions and answer correctly- for my answer to your request will be determined by that." Wale, who was awestruck by the sudden change of the area and time, nodded his head quickly. "Tell me, why are you coming here now?" "What do you mean, Baba?" "Hahaha! He asks me what I mean? You were told to come to the village immediately your first child was born. You refused. When your second child was born, the same message came to you. You refused. When you first son died, you received the message, you refuse. Yet you are here now. Why?" "But Baba, I don't recall anyone coming to meet me from the village!" Wale protested. "Ah! You don't recall any of that, even in your dreams." Wale paused for a while. "Well, I remember someone telling me to follow him after my first son's death, but Baba, that's a dream! How could I have known what was happening? I thought it was still part of the grieving process." "Omo de shey yin. The black man said. You think all dreams are results of your day's activities? You are really but a kid." Wale smiled, but his outlook was caustic. "Baba, you won't blame me if you are in my shoes. I ......." "Stop! The black man roared. Enough of your excuses. A man must live by the consequences of his decision. But that's all about that for now." "Do you love your son, Wale?" The old man asked |
This is not any medical condition. No medical condition can force blood out of someone mouth and instead of asking for help or hospital, he is begging an entity we can't see. IT IS SPIRITUAL! EVIL IS AT WORK! |
forgiveness:If he is rebuilding the team with experienced players, then I will ask this: how long will that team last? Because you can't rebuild a team in six months. A year may not even be enough, so am surprised this experience talk is existing. Are we building a team that will last three years max or a dominating team that will last for five, six years? Let me stop that argument here. As for Taiye Taiwo, I don't buy the reasoning of bringing him back. We have seen the best of Taiye Taiwo in the past, he is now a shadow of himself, remember that Echejile was his successor, so I don't see him coming back as a step forward. Wonder why Oshaniwa has been ignored. |
forgiveness:If he says that he is building a new team, then we should focus towards the world cup not the next Nations Cup Don't be surprised that a lot of the names you mentioned there may not perform in SE colors. However since he is rebuilding, the very least is to give them a try. I believe Ndidi and Shehu should be given some chance (probably against Swaziland) to prove themselves and gain experience along the way. Why call Taiye Taiwo? We don't need him, we can find younger, better players than him. |
lexyman:What about Balogun? I feel that Sone is injured, if not I don't see why Oliseh won't call him up to give him a chance. |
charles1363:Have you heard of secondary smoking? And today is No Bra Day against Breast cancer, yet she is smoking. |
forgiveness:I doubt that the current coach has the time to be bringing all these changes, besides he risks upsetting any balance that is been formed by the current set of SE players. I would advise that he works to get the most he can from the current squad, then replace anyone that is not competent enough. But I support your other point on conversion. Oliseh should not be converting any player to another position when he has not gotten the best of the current position especially at the defence. |
Made got to his room just to meet someone familiar. Tade. "Hey guy, long time!" Tade said, walking to greet Made at the entrance of ETF, leaving the other bemused. First Kike, now Tade. "How far?" Made said with apathy. "Common, don't do like am a necessary evil." Tade replied, looking offended. With Made not answering, Tade pulled himself away from Made and looked straight into his eyes. "What happened? Why are you behaving to me like that?" "Guy, I don't want to see you around again!" "Why?" "Nothing." "You can't just tell me 'nothing'. We have been friends for a while now and suddenly you just quit on me. Tell me what's wrong." "See, if I tell you, you won't understand, will you?" "At least tell me, if not for anything for the sake of our friendship." "Okay, give your life to Christ!" "Is that what's bothering you? Okay, I have given it to Christ. " "Tade, stop lying. You don't become born again that way." "What's it with you and 'born-againism'? Can't you just leave that alone or is that your way of chasing me away?" "Tade, you should be more bothered about your eternity than me, since you are the one always playing with fire." "What do you mean?" "Well, you are the one who is chasing cult members all around." "Oh,oh, that's the reason why you avoid me, right? Made, I don't believe it. You, that used to follow us previously now turn around and start running scared. And now you come and tell me that I play with fire? Made, you are a joke." "Let me be a joke but are you serious about your life? Remember the time we went to catch Wande and her girls, what of if the bullets shot hit me or someone else? Did you consider the lives that you put at risk with that move? Are you not afraid for your own life?" "Forget that one, my life is already sacrificed for this cause, so don't bother." "Okay, but you should know this: I am always bothered about you and I don't know what my relationship with you will attract to me; its that simple!" Tade walked away, feeling down. For the first time since he joined DSM, he had a reason to dislike himself joining them. As Made watched him walking away dejected, he could not help asking himself a question. Was his talk worth it? |
Igwoh:Thanks for joining. |
Jumizie13:Welcome back |
akinleye12345:Ah! I may just decide to kill him... ![]() |
nellyme:If he dies nko...... Wetin go happen? |
Made walked to the hostel from Redeemed Christian Church, deep in thought. A lot had changed since that day Tade convinced him to join DSM. He had joined with all glee and had even gone to catch a cult guy at times. But he started to have second thoughts when he had gone with the general student body to catch Wande and her people. The sight of the gun and the sound of gunfire ensured that he quit. Not long after he gave his life to Jesus and became a committed Christian. Now the only thought he has are to graduate and finish as a good church worker. If it were that simple. As he got to Akintola hall, a female hostel also known as Sports Hall, he heard his name. "Brother Oyemade! What are you doing here?" He turned to see a fair-skinned buxom lady jogging towards him. Despite his height, the lady bent a bit in order to hug him. "Sister Patricia, how are you doing? Is this your hostel?" She nodded, her long,bangle-like earrings dangled delightfully. "Am coming from church." He answered her question. "And am going to my hostel." "Abi you want to see your girlfriend here? She teased. I won't stop you, I just want to see who the babe is." "Indeed! Which girl did you see with me?" Made asked. "Ah, don't lie jare. Sister Kike that used to hold your hand every time after service nko? Abi you think I won't notice?" "Abeg, she is not my girlfriend oh!" Made protested. Kike was a black(charcoal black) lady with generous fat allocated in not too pleasant places in her body, her face was plain, so in conclusion she resembled those fat china ladies in Cartoons. Made, in a bid not to offend her, was not overly reacting to her hand holding but subsequently dodged her everywhere else. "Ah, there she is!" Patricia exclaimed. "Kike! Kike!! See Brother Oyemade! " Kike on seeing him, rushed to greet him, using her full body on him. Made winced not just because of her body weight but because he wanted to avoid her. "Where are you going, Brother Oyemade?" She said. Made, once carefree, was now uncomfortable. "I was going to the hostel, I urghhhh!" He turned and vomited on the nearby bush, causing a few stares directed at him. "Ah, are you alright?" Kike said. Patricia, who had been grinning since, suddenly became serious. "Made, what's wrong with you?" She asked. Made just raised his clenched fist and stuck out his thumb, signifying that he was well. " I just have a little stomach trouble." He said, moving groggy. "Eyah, go and rest, eh." Kike and Patricia cooed. Kike turned and started walking to Sports hall. "Let me be on my way to my room. If you visit here, come and check me in my room. Bye,Bye. " As soon as she left, Made quickly cleaned his mouth and started to walk normally. "Brother Made! Ah! Because of her abi?" Patricia said, her eyes full of wonder. "No, I really have stomach trouble." Made defended himself. "I should be going." As he left, Patricia curled her fingers towards him. "Whether you like it or not, I will date you. Kike is just deceiving herself" |
Jaypea98:Lolz, it may be an exaggeration but the CHAN Squad can actually stand their own against Super Eagles Intl(lolz) |
247frolicboss:Waste of money. |
ahamonyeka:Easy na. I said it was in his hands, never said anything was wrong with their abilities ( though am skeptical of Ik Uche and I think Osaze is still injured). |
bronzegoddess:She can keep him close but should define the relationship as friendship. Make she tell am the simple fact; she is not attracted to him and therefore it can't work, make he shift market go somewhere else. |
kendrick9:What about Iwobi and co? And what do you think of the potential competition for positions between Victor Moses and Simon Moses(Battle of the Moses)? |
bishop88:Am skeptical of Issac Success though that alone can't rule him out. |
ahamonyeka:It depends on the coach prerogative, but for a coach who publicly preaches the gospel of young players won't bringing these guys mentioned be a bit too much for him? Besides they may have issues following Musa. Let's find younger strikers. Gbolahan Salami is not a terrible alternative for now and am sure we have more all over the world. |
safarigirl:What do you think about the goalie position? Should Alampasu be the second choice behind Ikeme or should an older hand step in (give or take that Enyeama is gone for good/bad)? Then what do you think about the influx of dual citizens playing for Nigeria ( Ikeme, Balogun and Iwobi)? |
safarigirl:Well, I know what am saying here. Nigerians are not a patient bunch besides the fact that it works for Martial does not mean it will work for others. That said, we can't say for certain until we try them. |
hensben:But he already owns Remo Stars. |
safarigirl:Am in for these changes but the question will be if they can handle the pressure, especially if their debuts at this level did not go well? |
Is the application still open? |
Now that Oliseh has won and enjoyed his first major scalp as an Eagles coach (forget the lacklustre display, Cameroun is still a rival),coupled with the reduced tension caused by Enyeama's retirement and the defeat by Congo, he needs to settle down and assess a few areas that needs improvement. Some of these areas include: 1. A faulty defence line: despite our victory, I was still concerned that our defence and goalie were not tested well enough. Though that should be a good sign, but considering that Cameroun looked to suffer a bit from poor positioning in the first half, its safer to say that the opponents were not as sharp as expected in attack, yet both Echejile and his compatriot on the right side of the defence were beaten occasionally when Cameroun had the chance. Coupled with the shaky composure of Ambrose before his goal (where he almost sold us out), then its not yet Uhuru for our defence. One positive though was the performance of Leon Balogun; his performance at the heart of the defence was courageous, putting the best performance I have seen of him in recent times. Now Oliseh needs to work on Ambrose and find other options on the flanks. 2. A blunt attack: we may have scored three goals, which is very good but yet we could have scored so much more with a sharper attack. Probably if given more time the attack will be more potent but a strikeforce that has just scored two goals in three matches which involved the likes of Tanzania, Niger and Congo won't give me goose bumps. Moreover, Cameroun were really not tight in defence, so three goals should be a given. However, its an improvement and we hope the attack continues to improve under Oliseh. 3. Emenike: Yes, the man who made us to think of Yekini during the 2013 AFCON. Or what's left of him. Since the World Cup, he has been on a perpetual decline, notably worsened in his time with Fenerbache. Despite moving to the Arab world with Al-Ain, Emenike has failed to recover that form that made us root for him in that AFCON. Now he is more of a distraction and rough thug, creating and fighting physical battles with the opposition centre backs and linking up play. While this is certainly not bad, its certainly not his role as a striker and that has left us blunt in attack anytime he spearheads it. It is left to the coaching crew and himself to find that form, as any injury to Ighalo may leave us completely blunt in attack. All in all, we (the fans) have to be patient. Even the World Cup Champions in Germany struggled against 'minnows' last night and Spain have also had their struggles, so its not all rosy out there. Here is wishing the eternity of the Super Eagles success, although only time will tell if such wish will come through. Cc: Safarigirl, chrisxxx, honeric01, semi4lyfe. |
"Hmn, hmn, hmn. This kind of thing no fit happen when I dey dia." A young man, probably earlier than his mid-thirties said while relaxing on a soft cushion in Protea Hotels, Ikeja. "Its not like that. They don get some young and stubborn guys on their side and now the acting president is on their side too." Another voice replied. The cool provided by the Air conditioner made it look like a business meeting but it was nothing like that. Nothing like that at all. "So what should I do?" The first voice said. "Why run to me when it was your group that destroyed my group? Besides you have two people capable of dealing with them." "Dotun and Sunday have no interest in these matters, Kareem. The war with your group was instigated by one of yours, so that's not our fau...." "Shut up there! Who asked you to speak?" Kareem asked him, who was not the second speaker, who was gutted by the sharp reply. "I'm sorry about his outburst, he is still naïve compared to Sunday." The second speaker said. "However, there is some truth in what he said. Dotun and Sunday have left the group and are now working in another line of business. Moreover, I met with the other Capones and we decided to work on a united front and we need someone who has done this before." "Mr President, how does it feel to be stripped of your pride, eh? Must pain a lot for you to be here." Kareem asked yet another individual. "Ah, you don't have an idea, that's why I promised to drop #2.2 million right now if you chose to do business with us and 1.2 million when you are done." Tijani, the president spoke. "Hmnn...." Kareem laid his back on the seat and departed to his thoughts as Mayowa, Taiwo and Tijani waited for his reply. "Fine, I will do this, but it will be because of this Tade of a guy. I have some personal history to share with him." |
nellyme:Thanks... Sorry for responding so late. |
"What's that for?!" Tade shouted out in pain. "Guy, you don't know how lucky you are, there was every chance that you would have been the person we will parade instead of the President. Don't you see that?" "I get it, but it does not warrant you knocking me." Tade said, scratching his head. "It warrants it. Tade, you are a valuable person in this fight, but you are too reckless. Imagine if there were other cult guys with her and they beat you up? Or if she was not the only naked female in the room and we met you in a compromising position?" Williams eyed Tade, who was uncomfortably trying to check his phone. "I understand." He finally answered. "I would be careful next time. But that's why I called you. I know, but all the same be smart about it. Anyway, with this the president has no hiding place, especially as this is not the first case." "Really? Why don't I know?" "Because it was not necessary, even up til now. Am just telling you because of this case. And Tade, don't go telling people about this. Let me handle it properly. Believe me, this will end the president's tenure." It was as Williams foretold. The next day was a parliamentary session and the President had to be present. The session had not reached five minutes when one of the parliamentarians raised a motion to probe the president. Within the twinkle of an eye, it changed to an investigation and with Williams being prepared for it, he brought out the evidence, coupled with witnesses. With the President tongue-tied, it was not long before he was impeached and then paraded as a rapist. With what happened, the Vice-President took over as the President for the remaining part of the session. With her in power, Williams and co started to hunt down cult guys freely. A storm was brewing. |
Great post. All newly weds need at least bits of this advice. |
