Travel / Re: Ekesons First Class Cabin In Road Buses Makes History by rareman(m): 5:20pm On Oct 06, 2019
Ctorch:
Ekesons Makes History with First Class Cabin in Road Buses

A unique niche has been created in the public transport sector by E Ekesons Bros Nigeria Limited with the introduction of a truly First Class travel experience on some of its fleet of buses.

The buses which are already on ground and offering services, are fitted with a segmented First Class section which provides personalized audio visual facility enabling each passenger to select and watch whatever he or she pleases throughout the duration of the journey.

Each passenger in the First Class segment of the bus is also entitled to exclusive power outlets that enable him or her to charge a laptop and a phone.

In order to enhance the First Class comfort, the First Class section of the bus offers more leg room, leather chairs, and an ambience that is not any lesser than what is provided in the air bus. Aside the air conditioning system for all passengers in the bus, there is also refrigerated drinks and an in-built toilet.

Managing Director of the company, Engr. Chijioke Ojukwu stated that the introduction of the service which is first of its kind in the country for public transportation is meant to add value to customer experience.

According to him, “we have done this in so many ways, apart from improving safety, we have also been able to add more comfort. Currently, as the company stands, we have been able to bring in the first of its kind VIP Executive to the coach section. “So we now have coaches that will give you VIP experience which in Ekeson we call it B-SWAG. B-SWAG is a product we coined to suit both the old and the young, it is a bus system that give you far more leg room and more space for those who would want to sleep and also an on-board multi-entertainment system just like you have on the aircraft for long distance travels where you select your movie on demand, your choice of music, your choice of books on each seat.

“It is so personalised, you would not want to miss having that experience.

It is the first ever to be on the coach system in Nigeria. Apart from this, there are still so much to enjoy, the refreshment, the meals on board, the cabin crew- both male and female, the cabin hostess are well trained and are equipped to make the travel very comfortable. People now travel in comfort and in style, when we say in comfort and style, we mean in true comfort and in true style”.

The Managing Director, who is a frontline COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) certified Engineer, added that the company’s growing number of customers are getting valuable services on all routes it plies.

Politics / Re: Ben Bruce Laments About The Rejection Of His Bill For Electric Cars In Nigeria by rareman(m): 9:12am On May 11, 2019
LuciferAkbar:

Electric cars would reduce demand for fossil fuels like petrol and diesel thereby driving the price down. If the dependency on fossil fuels drop, the price will drop too.

It will also increase the need for more electricity and will force the government to either step up PHCN services or allow private firms come into the power industry.
If private firms take over the power sector, the competition will lead to improved power supply & reduced electricity tariffs (just like how MTN & Glo knocked out the likes of Nitel, Econet etc).

Improved electricity supply leads to business boom as we all know that SMEs have always cited inadequate electricity supply as a major problem hindering growth since it takes a huge chunk of their capital.

Higher output by SMEs leads to an overall boost for the economy as SMEs account for about 48% of Nigeria's GDP.
It also leads to the creation of more jobs, better income distribution, reduced air pollution, etc. I could go on & on...

It is a win-win for everybody involved.

What the hell are you on about?
The world is moving away from fossil fuels but you zombies think we should move towards it.
Must you zombies blindly support anything that you are asked to support without critically looking at it?

*spits angry

Saying no to electric car is like saying no to tomorrow.

Good big men take loan to buy cars, but what I think he is saying is that buhari should be a role model, don't tell us to live within our own means while you go taking loan for election. In the meantime your children are not the example of that frugality you preach. I its not too much for Nigerians to ask their leader to show them by living the life they want others to follow

PDP should stop all these sponsored senseless killings. The attack came after INEC released the number of registered voters and collected PVC. Katsina was shown have the capacity to give PMB more votes than 3 states in the SE, so PDP sent their killer machines to the state to cause fear and instigate voter apathy.

Abu APC is trying to create reason to postpone Katsina election

Education / Ondo State Police Arrest Two Teacher For Using Children's Finger Nails For Ritua by rareman(m): 3:02pm On Sep 08, 2017
According to a facebook user the teacher in a primary school tried use a pupil for ritual

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested two teachers identified as Blessing Omowera and Sola Kalejaye for allegedly using human parts for ritual purpose.
According to the police, the duo allegedly collected the fingernails and blood of the pupils of Heritage Nursery and Primary School, Ondo town, Ondo State.
While Omowera works at the nursery and primary school, Kalajaye, is said to be a teacher in a secondary school in the town.
It was gathered that when one of the pupils got home, she informed her father what the teacher did to her in the school, and the parents reported the matter at the Ondo Area Command, Ondo.
The victims are both three-year-old.
The Police Public Relations Officer for the state police command, Mr. Femi Joseph, explained that Omowera called the two pupils and cut their fingernails under the pretence of cleaning them up.
The PPRO also said as the suspect was cutting the finger nails of the pupils, she intentionally cut the hands of the victims to bring out blood. She then cleaned the bloodstained hand with a cloth.
Joseph said, “We were informed that after the suspect (Omowera) had cut the hands of the pupils, she cleaned up the blood with a cloth and took both the blood and fingernails away .
“After she was arrested, she confessed that she was sent by somebody who wanted to use the blood and fingernails for ritual purposes; that was why we arrested the sender (Kalejaye).”
The police spokesman noted that Omowera had already been charged to court, while Kalejaye was still in custody undergoing interrogation.
“He (Kalejaye) too will soon be charged to court,” Joseph said.
The father of one of the pupils, Mr. Ambrose Akinnodi, called on the state government and human rights activists in the country to assist his family in ensuring that justice was done in the matter.
It was gathered that the two pupils had been withdrawn from the school.

Lesson to learn.
Our children must always be encouraged to tell us everything that happens in school
Teachers Must never be allowed to cut the children's nails anymore.
Children with long nails must be told to cut their nails frm home
Children's hair must not be combed in school as the hair is also being used for rituals.
As our Schls are resuming let's educate our teachers and warn them on the above issues.
