Second, I haven't seen in the scriptures where a believer is "filled" with the Holy Spirit and he/she falls as we have seen that one of the fruit of the Spirit is Self Control, meaning, you can control yourself at the level of Holy Spirit "in" or "upon" you.

Third, symbols of Holy Spirit IS NOT Holy Spirit. Should symbols of Holy Spirit be Holy Spirit itself, then Jesus will also be a Lamb on four legs.....lol. Also, if symbols is Holy Spirit, then the Apostles should all be on the floor on the day of Pentecost burning and screaming from the burning fire.

Four, Apart from reverence to the glory or presence of God that makes ones jump, bow in reference etc, what i see in scriptures is demon manifesting through a possessed person and throwing such person on the ground, these would usually not be believers.

This is the purpose of this thread, the Holy Spirit when "filled" in us (as it cannot come upon us anymore) should not bring us down but upright and even at the Holy Spirit being filled in us, we have control over our self as fruit of the Holy Spirit is Self-Control. We need to know what's going on in the realm of the Spirit today in the body of Christ so as not to misplace the substance for the shadow. Also, we need to question the source of somethings in the body of Christ and know where it all comes from, slain in the spirit is one of them.

Logic Mind: oh! i understand you completely. I also read the bible and it tells me something completely different from what you are saying. Don't take it personal, it's not your fault that the bible may have been mistranslated nor is it your fault that the editors separated chapters that weren't meant to be separated, however, that is what I and billions of people are presented with and that is the basis of my assertions.
If you can get the next generation of translators to do it properly and let the churches know and agree that chapters 1, 2 & 3 should be merged, then the "error" will be rectified and I would be wrong. But until, then, you are wrong and your bible contradicts you blatantly.

First, this statement is half truth. I said half truth because, the manifestation of the Holy Spirit is ALL revealed in the word of God. To understand the word is to understand the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will NEVER go against the word especially when it authored the word.



A clear example of how the Holy Spirit stir people in line with the word of God, just as am saying. Yes the relationship with Holy Spirit is personal but it does contradict the word and when it manifest, it won't contradict the word also.

bigd4050: It should not be inevitable though. There are many scriptures that talk about the need to be united. That means in speech, action, and doctrine. To have so many denominations is a black mark on Christianity because it shows that we cannot agree on the truth of the Bible. It isn't necessary to disagree, and there weren't always denominations, so I'm not sure what point your trying to make.

After "as of fire" sat upon each of them that made them "filled" with the Holy Spirit, Did they fall or stagger?

Those billions/millions of years are wrong because of what I will call "God effect".

let me explain further. let's assume we go back to history, you can now see Adam a day after he was created. How old is Adam? God created Adam as a man and not as a baby boy. Let's say one should be called a man when he is 25 years old. Now you have seen Adam,a day after he was created and he is a fully grown man. It is wrong to say that Adam is 25 years old. Yes, it sounds kind of weird but that's the truth. He should be a day old. A day old who is fully grown man.

If you apply what I explained above to the beginning of universe, world and other living organisms, you will see that these billions and millions of years is definitely wrong. This "God effect" has eluded the reasoning of many scientists, even some christians.

Goshen360: Galatians 5:22-23 mentioned the fruits of the Spirit. Doing a word study on each, I had to purse and ask myself a question about shadow of things the charismatic are presenting to the body of Christ today. I found Self-Control very interesting yet I see people fall in churches/T.V with catchers standing behind to catch them. If a believer is said to have the Holy Spirit, does he/she still have to stagger and fall under these so called charismatic slain in the spirit?

bigd4050: I agree Rastamouse is epic failure, but God didn't directly create it. Someone who makes propane tanks does not directly create a fire when one explodes. God created the plants, but because of sin, Christians believe that everything is tainted. In a perfect world before sin, leprousy did not exist.

And I won't say they are fools, I like to show more respect and our good friend Rastamouse still needs to learn that. The Bible does call them fools, but no need to blast all atheists like that. The won't be saved, because they don't believe in God. They are the smartest people, very intelligent, but if they end up in Hell, what good is their intelligence?

I think of it like a parent to child relationship. The parent gave birth to the child, owns the house the child lives in, and so in turn everything in it. The parent lets the child run around and play and do what it wants, but if the child gets a toy, while the parent lets the child keep it, the child does not have the money to buy its own toy. Bill Gates has invented some great things, but his mind is given to him by God, the materials for making computers or discs with Microsoft Word on them are God's. He created everything so all things are his. Bill Gates still deserves his money, but he did not just bring Microsoft Word together out of thin air.

As far your argument against sickness, why is it bad that leprousy had no cure then? There was simply not the technology to find a cure before sceientists did. Jesus healed people of their leprousy in the Bible, if that is what you mean.

Have you asked yourself why you have served God, yet atheist countries do better than your country (which has less than 1% atheists). Also why is it that atheists are contributing to humanity more than what you christians or your god did in this present day? Your God brought leprosy with no cure but modern scientists (respected scientists who are majorly atheists) have cures for leoprosy at its infant stage.


If you really believe that Bill Gates is a fool, then stop using your laptop, the bible says that you should avoid a fool, lest you engage in his foolishness. Stop using facebook. Dont use Japanese cars. Lets see how your life plays out
