lexy2014:Brilliant folks like you with sound minds are rare to come by these zombies are too parochial in their reasoning. |
docadams:When you are calm I will address you right now go get some rest. I am allergic to half truths from your party that's all. Sleep well boy |
docadams:You have not succeeded in making reasonable points order than tantrum throwing. Do I have to know a topic had been created before I created another or you are just feeling embarrassed that your party lies are being exposed almost on daily basis. You should have politely referred me to the other post without any slight diss at me ad Blue3k but no your lot must insult first. Anyway thanks for providing a link and it is the same thing here that happened there - lie busting of APC sophistries |
free2ryhme:You never see anything just wait until this hit the front page and see how they will be further exposed for the world to see |
naijapips04:My brother go easy on these aliens they are called Zombies for a reason just keep hammering them with the facts as you are doing they will soon exit your loaded thread like a snake escaping from a fire outbreak ![]() |
Livefreeordieha:Apt response bro. Ignore the clown to keep wallowing in his mire of ignorance people of his type may kujely commit suicide by the time Buhari is sent back to Daura come 2019 |
What type of analyses is this on our once vibrant Stock Market, some shares of erstwhile stocks have been stagnant for the past months now yet theybwant us to believe the capital market is making sense. The last analysis at the bottom of this thread is erroneous. Nigerian Stock Exchange is not like what we used to have between 2004-2009. |
Blue3k:Blue3k this is the height of madness APC has gone to deceive gullible Nigerians with no sense of direction. The simple analysis you gave on how much we produce and consume locally on that Premium Times link is enough to bust their lies this is frontage worthy because I know many experts here will shed more light for all to see. Lalasticlala, Ishilove , Seun please help us out. |
The only man going it alone and saying it the way it is without mincing words. |
Mumu post Buhari is gone with the winds he has never been popular all over Nigeria except for his Northwest and few states in Northeast so this myth about his popularity status should be laid to rest already! |
Amaechi the political ruffian as your Campaign DG? That will be a walkover for Atiku because Amaechi's careless talks will give the opponent easy ride. Bring it on Bubu. The question is, what catchphrase are they going to campaign with now? probably "Changer or Changest" |
yarimo:Don't start your new year like this try to go for sure deliverance before things go wrong, did you just lied that Buhari is loved in every part of Nigeria with this unnecessary hardship on innocent lives? I hope you are not trying to rig for him in 2019 because it could be disastrous. Save it here, Buhari will land safely in Daura come 2019. |
This is good and proactive for a sector as sensitive as the power sector. I am impressed |
The truth of the matter is, "talk is cheap" with the level of poverty among the youths and collapse of the middle class of yesteryears politicians will still manipulate the voters to their sides with few bucks thrown around. Nigeria plays money politics and this triggers hooliganism among the many unemployed, idled youths. It is just too sad except something is done about INEC to forestall electoral manipulations from the rigging strategy of desperate politicians with no agenda. |
I still wonder the type of specie Nigerians are if an ordinary egg that chickens lay for free can trigger a protest how much more mechanical driven hike in price of a commodity that can be exhaustible in Nigeria (PMS)! What a country Nigeria is and people Nigerians are. |
The price of eggs in Iran went up 50%, and 21 people were killed in the protests that followed pulse.ng Jan 2, 2018 6:17 PM Prices well beyond double the normal helped crystallise dissatisfaction in Iran with the government, and has led to a spiral of violence and recrimination. Protesters in the streets of Tehran, the Iranian capital, on 30 December, 2017. (AP) Protests in Iran have become a major global issue and resulted in deaths. They were catalysed by soaring egg prices, which have gone up 50% and in some cases doubled. A harsh government response and general antipathy from the authorities caused the protests to grow. Iran is currently being rocked by widespread protests throughout the country that have become the biggest geopolitical issue of the day, attracting the attention of the US President and most other major world powers. As of Tuesday afternoon, at least 21 people had died and hundreds more were under arrest in the biggest unrest to affect the region in almost a decade. There are plenty of reasons for Iranians to be unhappy. The economy is in poor shape, corruption is widespread, and they have lived for some forty years under a harsh and oppressive theocracy. But one of the most significant factors being cited is a recent spike in the price of eggs. According to Iran's Mehr news agency, egg prices last week were up 50%. The English-language Financial Tribune newspaper had more detail, citing prices as high as 210,000 rial ($6.30) for a tray of 30 eggs, more than double the usual price. Other commodities are also more expensive. Increases have been blamed on abnormally high animal feed costs, as well as an outbreak of avian flu which led to many millions of hens being culled. The hike prompted demonstrations in the streets, beginning in the city of Mashhad before spreading to the capital, Tehran, and other urban and suburban areas. This video, purportedly from Karaj, a city just outside Iran, shows parts of the city on fire against a background of weapons fire. Protest is not common in Iran, which has a strong and pervasive security apparatus. As authorities began to respond, to block messaging technology and to arrest people, the protests worsened. Threats as severe as the death penalty were levied against demonstrators. What an egg costs has no especial political symbolism in Iran, but was an obvious example of life getting worse, and the government's indifference. Having recently re-elected moderate Hassan Rouhani, and seen their leaders sign the nuclear accord with the US and other economies in return for sanctions relief, Iranians may have hoped for economic improvement, rather than the opposite. Eggs have ceased to be the central issue, as state authorities confirm a steadily rising count of dead which includes children and members of its own security services. Video from inside the country shows police stations under siege, gunshots, and buildings set on fire. People protesting in Tehran. People protesting in Tehran. (Thomson Reuters) Chanting protestors have voiced their dissatisfaction with the government more generally, and have also condemned Iranian authorities for spending money intervening in conflicts overseas. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has blamed foreign governments for stirring the unrest using their money and intelligence services. Western powers including the United States condemned Iran's harsh response to protest, bringing the focus of the conflict firmly into the realm of international politics, rather than food and the economy. But every protest movement starts somewhere, often for prosaic reasons — the Arab Spring of 2011 was triggered by the suicide of a Tunisian fruit seller whose roadside stall was seized by the government — and in Iran the trigger was unaffordable groceries. http://www.pulse.ng/bi/politics/politics-the-price-of-eggs-in-iran-went-up-50-and-21-people-were-killed-in-the-protests-that-followed-id7794223.html |
agbangam:You should study the real story from time to time its not about Jonathan but how Boko Haram suddenly regain more vigour despite Buhari's claim that they had been decimated. Please remind me how much Buhari paid these terrorists in 2016 for exchange of some abducted girls and their captured leaders.....in case you are pretending not to know it is a lump sum of €3 million enough to start a new terrorist cell from the scratch. So what exactly are you saying? |
hatchy:This is the essense of the topic you just gave a pictorial evidence of the whole topic. You captured it imaginatively well. |
megareal:Amen and Amen dear |
This is the next joker (restructuring) that will determine next election direction besides good governance and it is long overdue. Unfortunately, Buhari does not key in into this |
He is even campaigning towards his 2nd term already when he is yet to fulfil his first term promises. What a soul |
EternalTruths:Kindly explain how Atiku will end up a disaster please. |
anonimi:I am already in my bro. I walk the talk not just talk it bro. Thanks for the advice though |
The confusion in the land is too real to be ignored. When Tunde Bakare was vouching for Buhari's competence and integrity where was God then for him to consult for proper direction on what or not to say? We all are watching.. |
frankyychiji:Point of correction I never referred to Buhari as a political heavyweight but referring to anyone PDP must field should be a political heavyweight |
PDPGuy:You got the whole picture clearly. Dankwambo is no political heavyweight and I don't see him slugging anything out against a Buhari. He lacks the political experience and finesse with national clout so a Dankwambo will be a walk over for Mallam Buhari only Atiku can engage him for now if he (Atiku) emerges as PDP flagbearer |
Blue3k2:Stop wasting your time educating that lost dude he won't see any truth and sense in what you are saying no matter how convincing it might sound. Imagine they even claimed Nigeria is producing 15 million metric tonnes already meaning 300 million 50 kg bags and I ask, where are these mysterious 50kg bags disappearing into? ![]() Read the news here on their imaginary 15 million metric tonnes of rice production; https://www.nairaland.com/4253864/rice-production-nigeria-hits-15 |
Buhari hiring dead folks into boards is national embarrassment pulse.ng Dec 30, 2017 11:25 AM The appointment of dead folks into the federal bureaucracy by Buhari should be seen as a national embarrassment. President Muhammadu Buhari shakes hands with Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha (Bayo Omoboriowo) President Muhammadu Buhari and the rest of his team, love to say they hate ghost workers. But on Friday, December 29, 2017, the names of dead persons found their way into a long list containing the president’s new hires to fill vacancies in boards and parastatals. “The President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the constitution of the Governing Boards of Agencies and Parastatals, under some Ministries, as well as the appointment of eminently qualified Nigerians to fill the Board positions, numbering 209 Chairmen and 1258 members”, read the statement signed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha. Except that among the “eminently qualified” were Donald Ugbaja who died this year, Francis Okpozo who passed on in 2016 and Christopher Utov who exited planet earth in March. It doesn’t get more shoddy and embarrassing than this. President Muhammadu Buhari meets Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, at the Presidential Villa Boss Mustapha and President Buhari (Twitter/Sahara Reporters) The only plausible explanation is that these late folks (Lord rest their souls) were named as federal board members and chairmen while they were still alive. Buhari, famed for his snail speed and foot-dragging, must have had the board appointments list sitting on his desk forever. So, while he dithered and pondered, some of his potential appointees died and the list was released to the public without as much as a cross checking. Another rational explanation could be that the former SGF, Babachir Lawal, drew up the list and sat on same. Mustapha who took over from Lawal, would then go on to forward the list to the president for assent without first vetting same. Inexcusable It is all shades of ridiculous and totally inexcusable to hire dead people. That the president even dispatched a condolence letter to one of his dead ‘appointees’ back in 2016, brings to the fore the shoddiness and sloppiness that is the Buhari administration. This just tells you that the president doesn't even have a dossier of most of his hires; that there are no background checks, no vetting, before people get government jobs. President Buhari and Babachir Lawal Babachir Lawal and President Buhari (L and R) (The Nation) Naming dead persons into boards and parastatals should never have happened if the presidency was up to its job. The truth is that time and again, this presidency has proven that it isn’t up to its job. This is also a sober reminder that the nation's civil service is brimming with ghosts and more ghosts. In a serious country, heads should roll over this. It says a lot when a president who says he despises ghost workers and whose administration has expended huge resources preening ghost workers off the payroll, has to lean on actual ghosts to steer the ship that is the federal bureaucracy. http://www.pulse.ng/news/local/buhari-hiring-dead-folks-into-boards-is-national-embarrassment-id7786289.html |
sarrki:It takes a bigot to know another one, keep it up |
In 2012 Jonathan planned a full deregulation of the down stream sector of the economy by removing subsidy on fuel. The price was increased from 67 Naira to 140 Naira. The APC as the main opposition party "Occupy Nigeria"and insisted that "subsidy never existed" Buhari said "i don't know what is subsidy" Due to the massive criticism that trailed the price increase, Jonathan brought down the price to 97 Naira. In 2015, Jonathan further brought down the price to 87 Naira due to crash in the prices of oil in the international market,The APC dismissed the gesture as insignificant and promised to do better if voted. Fast forward to 2016, the Buhari led APC government obviously aware there existed subsidy, increased the price of petrol to 145 Naira, thereby ending the regime of fuel subsidy. In the 2016 and 2017 budgets there were no provision for fuel subsidy Come December 2017, the NNPC informed Nigerians that it has been paying subsidy of 40 billion Naira daily on petrol. It said the landing cost of petrol is 171 Naira while it sells the product at 145 Naira thereby bearing the extra cost of 26 Naira per liter. Due to massive outrage by Nigerians that the government is spending trillions of Naira without appropriation by the National Assembly in clear violation of the constitution that mandated all revenue must be deposited into the Federation Account and should be shared by the FAAC among the three tiers of government, the FG came out with a peurile defence that "it is the NNPC that bears the cost of subsidy and not the Federal Government" No doubt the Buhari led APC takes Nigerians for nitwits and morons, If the NNPC bears the cost of subsidy,it simply means the Federal Government is the one subsidizing The NNPC has become Buhari's cash cow where he and his cronies milk the nation dry.The artificial scarcity being experienced is orchestrated to give the FG excuse to increase the price of fuel, May God help Us. I find this article I scooped from.Facebook wall very interesting and soul liberating I pray you read it up and feel same way too. I shouted out to a friend who recently came back from U.S and he decided to share the love of the season with my family. Later, he decided to monetize it with a $1000. Aboki confirmed the money and gave me a whooping N365,000. I quickly called to thank my friend and he asked how much is the exchange rate and mirthfully I said to him N365 to $1! He chuckled and asked if I still hold that old dogmatic bigotry opinion of mine that President Buhari will change $1 to N1? Immediately I remembered how we used to argue in my apartment before he left the country. How I used to be more Buhari than Buhari himself; how I told them how hopeful I was about the future of Nigeria with Buhari becoming the president .... But to my surprise he shocked my imagination that a Nigerian, who recently became a citizen of America just before Buhari's emergence, who used to be a normal average Nigerian guy. As a matter of fact he was not financially strong enough to pay rent in Naija. Now, he is back to use a thousand dollars to prove me wrong on President Buhari. He analyzed how my country is more besmirched today as he told me spending $1billion to climax an already won battle is equivalent to spending (1billion Naira) daily for the next 1year. He told me the same way you must have been shocked to get N365,000 from a $1000 is the same way he was astounded to hear the only man left with integrity in Nigeria is about to spend 1 billion Naira daily for the next 365 days to end Boko-Haram War. People can we just pause for a minute put party affiliation, regional sentiments away for now and ask ourselves how much is this government investing on education daily to warrant us spending N1billion daily on war that was announced technically won few months ago? He left me with more question than what my whooping N365,000 could solve. He gave many reason why that would be the next line of looting our common patrimony. He further enunciated on why investing more in education is the only way out of these menace and if failed to look in that direction, we should wait for more terrifying terrorists than Boko-Haram. He rounded up with a rhetorical question, for you and I to answer.... If Nigeria government need N1billion daily for the next 365 days to finish a technically won war, how much did Buhari govt spent daily before they technically won the war on Boko-Haram?
