The National Coordinator for President Goodluck Jonathan, support group, (Jonathan Shall Lead Again), (JOSLA), Comrade Curtis Ugbo has declared support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari in the 28 March general elections. Ugbo, nicknamed the ‘peoples Speaker’ who spoke to newsmen shortly after he defected with thousands of his supporters cited insincerity on the part of the Edo State PDP leaders as one of the main reasons that led to their defection to the APC alleging that his members who mobilized towards the successful campaign rally for President Jonathan were dumped. He said “As you are aware am the BOT Chairman and grant patron of Jonathan Shall Lead Again Movement with structure across the country we have been supporting Jonathan’s re-election since 2012 but here in Edo state I discovered that the PDP leaders have not been carrying people along. PDP in Edo state is in wrong hands, the party never shows any appreciation. What will the PDP leaders attracte or do for the people with their billions? What kind of leaders are they? On Buhari candidacy he said “ Buhari is going to win the election and we are going to give him our total support, so those who are making noise about his age are just playing politics. Buhari intelligence is what counts, this is a man that has ruled us before, so age has nothing to do with it. Afenifere unfortunately sold out. Jonathan effusively soaked the formerly respected body with dollars, even when Nigeria is grappling with an income cut in half by fallling oil prices. It amazes me how people believe Jonathan who lacked the capacity to manage Nigeria during a period of prosperity, can perform during a period of lack especially when he doesn't have to be accountable to the people since he will not be running for re-election. We have always known the subsidy was a scam, even before the corrupt subsidy earners were caught by Farouk Lawan's subsidy committee before they went on to bribe and set him up, because the numbers don't just add up. Gbawe:This succinctly expresses my concerns for Nigeria and what drives me to seek for change. Even NOI has admitted the times ahead will be quite hard for Nigerians. At a time when crude oil prices are at an all time low (meaning our income has been cut by more than half), at a time when our capital expenditure in the new budget is less than 20%, and the Ministry of Works budget has been cut by 80% (meaning abandoned projects and bank-fleeing contractors), yet this is the time Jonathan picks to engage in a billion dollar rain of bribery and endorsement funds. 1. Was the radio station not registered by the Federal Ministry of Information through the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria? 2. Did they not satisfy the legal and regulatory requirements? 3. Did I just hear 6,000 members of the Clergy say Buhari is recommended by the heavens? Wow. This underlines the degree to which Jonathan almost destroyed the Christian body in Nigeria. The glaring fact that such a large number of clergy from reputable churches such as RCCG ignored he umbrella body for Christians in Nigeria, led by the bling-bling illegal arms transporter Oritse-jet-for, speaks volumes of the regard they have for, and relevance of CAN in Nigeria, a once widely respected and regarded body before Jona. What is particularly interesting is that the clergy while calling for prayer and fasting to ensure Buhari is elected to start Nigeria's healing pocess, didn't dismiss Jonathan's reported N7bn bribe to compromised pastors through CAN. This is reassuring. We cannot continue with the impunity that characterizes the PDP administration where the press is not just gagged, but threatened and intimidated for an innocent picture questioning the unhealthy power distance between a constitutionally appointed commissioner in Akwa Ibom State, and a woman occupying an unconstitutional office of the first lady. What excuse can anyone give for a Police commissioner that tells a journalist "I cannot protect you" just because he posted an photo criticising the PDP administration in the state? Desperation. Jonathan and his cabal must have committed sins far beyond what is known or imagined in the public domain, and so serious that they know jail is certain if an incorruptible man is the one to unearth it. The two unforgivable crimes I suspect they are trying to meander out of are possibly the monumental, jaw dropping corruption in the management of our petroleum resources, and Jonathan's involvement or culpability in the loss of thousands of lives through Boko Haram. They are so spooked at the thought of GMB's emergence that Doyin noodles stated in an embarrassing video where he was thoroughly embarrassed by journalists, that Buhari is "forever unelectable". The original title of this article is 'Who Benefits From Nigeria's Postponed Elections' , I don't see how an article which predicts better chances for Buhari & highlights how GJ is neck deep in corruption can be the reason why I 'must' vote GJ. Dumb and lazy TANoids should have endeavoured to understand the article before attaching a fake robotic title to a balanced article.
