This postponement is coming back to bite Jonathan in the arrse grin.

PoliticsJonathan's Campaign Coordinator Dumps PDP, Joins Buhari by Rawani(op): 9:34am On Mar 20, 2015
The National Coordinator for President Goodluck Jonathan, support group, (Jonathan Shall Lead Again), (JOSLA), Comrade Curtis Ugbo has declared support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari in the 28 March general elections.

Ugbo, nicknamed the ‘peoples Speaker’ who spoke to newsmen shortly after he defected with thousands of his supporters cited insincerity on the part of the Edo State PDP leaders as one of the main reasons that led to their defection to the APC alleging that his members who mobilized towards the successful campaign rally for President Jonathan were dumped.

He said “As you are aware am the BOT Chairman and grant patron of Jonathan Shall Lead Again Movement with structure across the country we have been supporting Jonathan’s re-election since 2012 but here in Edo state I discovered that the PDP leaders have not been carrying people along. PDP in Edo state is in wrong hands, the party never shows any appreciation. What will the PDP leaders attracte or do for the people with their billions? What kind of leaders are they?

On Buhari candidacy he said “ Buhari is going to win the election and we are going to give him our total support, so those who are making noise about his age are just playing politics. Buhari intelligence is what counts, this is a man that has ruled us before, so age has nothing to do with it. Politicians always look for mundane things to criticise their opponent”.

Epic response. I'm glad our incoming first lady is not just a passive shadow behind her husband, but a sophisticated tigeress that can tell you to go to hell and you will actually look forward to it.

From her words, it is evident she knows where the shoe hurts, and she will establish programmes to better the Nigerian woman and child, especially in the areas of girl child trafficking and baby factories, issues threatening the fabric of our society.

PoliticsRe: Pictures: South East Youths Declare Total Support For President Jonathan by Rawani: 7:18pm On Mar 19, 2015
"It was a smooth drive from Lagos to Asaba. Then the story changed when we crossed the Niger Bridge and entered the Igbo heartland. From Onitsha to Awka was a sorry spectacle. Dilapidated and beaten up, the road was a clear testimony of the neglect the Igbos have been subjected to since the end of the civil war. We meandered our way on one lane with on-coming vehicles, trying to make sure we don’t end up in the ditch and trenches all over the road. And from Awka to Enugu was like going to hell. There was no road, no tarred pavements, nowhere to put your tyres on the road unlike what I saw in the western part of the country.

When I came back, I started thinking and asking myself some questions. What is it that the Goodluck administration has been able to do for the Igbos for their support of his administration? Are the Igbos better off now in the regime of Jonathan than during the administration of Obasanjo? Questions and more questions!"

PoliticsRe: Pictures: South East Youths Declare Total Support For President Jonathan by Rawani: 7:06pm On Mar 19, 2015
When asked the secret of his success in business, Warren Buffet, the contrarian American investor and twice the third richest man on earth, said that his success lies in the fact that, contrary to what we may have been taught in school, he does not scatter his eggs in many baskets. He puts all his eggs in one basket, but he watches that basket carefully.

Most Igbos, in their usual business manner, may have wittingly, or perhaps, unwittingly adopted this Buffeterian typology into politics by putting all their eggs in one PDP basket. But are they watching that basket carefully? What are they gaining or losing by this unusual political marriage?

PoliticsRe: Afenifere’s Endorsement Of Jonathan Wrong – Gen. Akinrinade by Rawani:
Afenifere unfortunately sold out. Jonathan effusively soaked the formerly respected body with dollars, even when Nigeria is grappling with an income cut in half by fallling oil prices. It amazes me how people believe Jonathan who lacked the capacity to manage Nigeria during a period of prosperity, can perform during a period of lack especially when he doesn't have to be accountable to the people since he will not be running for re-election.

Vote for Change.
PoliticsRe: Why I Refused To Devalue Naira, Remove Fuel Subsidy - Buhari by Rawani:
Before Jonathan
$1=N153.55
After Jonathan
$1=N202.65

Nigeria needs Buharinomics.

We have always known the subsidy was a scam, even before the corrupt subsidy earners were caught by Farouk Lawan's subsidy committee before they went on to bribe and set him up, because the numbers don't just add up.

General Buhari we cannot wait for you to stop Jonathan's destruction of our economy while feeding the masses with paper economic growth statistics.

We need change.
PoliticsRe: Niger Deltans Should Vote Buhari, Not Jonathan By Sabella Ogbobode Abidde by Rawani:
Gbawe:
Again, I ask you: how does a man who has been a political and economic failure tell you he will do better if you entrust him with another four years. Haba, we are Niger Deltans. We are smarter than that! Jonathan can’t be any better than what he has been the last couple of years. A mediocre! He does not have the capacity to be better. Move on. Vote Buhari.
This succinctly expresses my concerns for Nigeria and what drives me to seek for change. Even NOI has admitted the times ahead will be quite hard for Nigerians. At a time when crude oil prices are at an all time low (meaning our income has been cut by more than half), at a time when our capital expenditure in the new budget is less than 20%, and the Ministry of Works budget has been cut by 80% (meaning abandoned projects and bank-fleeing contractors), yet this is the time Jonathan picks to engage in a billion dollar rain of bribery and endorsement funds.

If Jonathan lacked the capacity to manage Nigeria during a time of prosperity, how will he do so in a period of lack?

Vote for Change.
PoliticsRe: Prof. Pat Utomi Endorses Buhari For Presidency by Rawani:
But who is Pat Utomi and why should we take this endorsement seriously?

As an entrepreneur he has founded or co-founded companies that are active in fields including financial services, ICT, Media and Agriculture. He was candidate for President of Nigeria in 2007 and 2011.

Prof. has reached the top in several different endeavours, becoming one of Nigeria’s top managers in Manufacturing before his 33rd birthday, reaching a Presidential Advisory position at 27; earning two Master Degrees and a PhD at 26, a Professorship and global acknowledgement as a leading scholar in Business, Political Economy and Media Studies in his forties.

He also belongs to many professional bodies. He is a member, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Institute of Directors, IOD, Nigeria Economic Summit Group and Nigeria Economic Society.

He coordinated the establishment of several civil society groups on good governance and accountability such as Transparency in Nigeria,The Centre for Values in Leadership, The Concerned Professionals, and the Restoration Group. In the business sphere, Utomi was the vice-chairman, Platinium–Habib Bank. He is an accomplished columnist, and chairman, BusinessDay Media Limited and creator of Patito’s Gang, a television talk show.

He has served on the key apex private sector associations including the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI); The National Council of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria; and the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA). He is active on the International speaking circuit, especially on the subjects of Growth economics, comparative development, Leadership, the Curse of Oil and China’s Economic surge and growing influence in Africa. He has collaborated fairly frequently with the center for strategic and international studies (CSIS) in Washington, and Chatham House, in the UK. He has also written commissioned papers for the UKs DFID including the latest collaboration with Colleagues from Oxford on the Political Economy of growth in Nigeria.

He clearly has nothing to benefit from Buhari, and understands the needs of Nigeria both economically and administratively, and he has said Jonathan has failed to perform therefore Buhari is the right choice right now.

Don't you also think so?

PoliticsRe: APC Plan To Cause National Chaos – PDP by Rawani:
1. Was the radio station not registered by the Federal Ministry of Information through the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria?

2. Did they not satisfy the legal and regulatory requirements?

3. Is AIT, a TV station, not an extension of the PDP? Did it not broadcast clear lies against GMB?

All of these noises are the final kicks of a dying horse. FFK should keep shut if he has nothing of substance to say, he is marketing an expired product.

PoliticsRe: 'Pastors For Change' On 7-day Prayer, Announce That God Chose Buhari by Rawani:
Did I just hear 6,000 members of the Clergy say Buhari is recommended by the heavens? Wow.

This underlines the degree to which Jonathan almost destroyed the Christian body in Nigeria. The glaring fact that such a large number of clergy from reputable churches such as RCCG ignored he umbrella body for Christians in Nigeria, led by the bling-bling illegal arms transporter Oritse-jet-for, speaks volumes of the regard they have for, and relevance of CAN in Nigeria, a once widely respected and regarded body before Jona.

What is particularly interesting is that the clergy while calling for prayer and fasting to ensure Buhari is elected to start Nigeria's healing pocess, didn't dismiss Jonathan's reported N7bn bribe to compromised pastors through CAN.

OilGas:
Speaking on the N7 billion bribery allegation against the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), he denied knowledge of any money collected, but added that every rumour has an element of truth.
Read between the lines. We do not need pastors to know Nigeria needs change.

OilGas:
“No one can do the same thing and expect different result. Nigerians must therefore get a change in baton. It appears that many people at the top do not feel what an ordinary Nigerian feels: No job, no money, no light, health problem, sorrow and frustration everyday due to massive corruption at the top. All these must change. Nigerians deserve good life in the midst of all the resources that God has endowed us with,” Williams stated.
Vote for GMB for a better Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Buhari: I Won’t Tamper With Press Freedom by Rawani:
This is reassuring. We cannot continue with the impunity that characterizes the PDP administration where the press is not just gagged, but threatened and intimidated for an innocent picture questioning the unhealthy power distance between a constitutionally appointed commissioner in Akwa Ibom State, and a woman occupying an unconstitutional office of the first lady.

What excuse can anyone give for a Police commissioner that tells a journalist "I cannot protect you" just because he posted an photo criticising the PDP administration in the state? Why should journalistic freedom be sacrificed on the altar of unprofessional partisanship?

We want change.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Holds Secret Meeting With Atiku - Saharareporters by Rawani:
Desperation. Jonathan and his cabal must have committed sins far beyond what is known or imagined in the public domain, and so serious that they know jail is certain if an incorruptible man is the one to unearth it. The two unforgivable crimes I suspect they are trying to meander out of are possibly the monumental, jaw dropping corruption in the management of our petroleum resources, and Jonathan's involvement or culpability in the loss of thousands of lives through Boko Haram. They are so spooked at the thought of GMB's emergence that Doyin noodles stated in an embarrassing video where he was thoroughly embarrassed by journalists, that Buhari is "forever unelectable".

This should make Nigerians more resolute to kick out Jonathan and start Nigeria's healing process.

We want change.

PoliticsRe: Reason Why You Must Not Vote APC LET VOTE Jonathan by Rawani:
The original title of this article is 'Who Benefits From Nigeria's Postponed Elections' , I don't see how an article which predicts better chances for Buhari & highlights how GJ is neck deep in corruption can be the reason why I 'must' vote GJ.

Dumb and lazy TANoids should have endeavoured to understand the article before attaching a fake robotic title to a balanced article.

PoliticsRe: Poll: If Today Was Election Day, Who Would You Vote For? by Rawani: 9:35am On Mar 15, 2015
maestroferddi:
No serious PDP person would lose sleep over this funny exercise.

Infact most PDP supporters like me hardly click "like" in a careless online poll like this one.

The PDP controls the grassroots. Even the class size of this poll is very small - about 1,500. Compare this with over 50 million voters expected to vote.

By the time we factor things like the demographics of people voting here and most importantly the issue multiple voting via alternate monikers/usernames, you would see that relying on the results here to celebrate will be akin to living in a fool's paradise.
