PoliticsRe: Terrorism: Blame the EXTREMISTS not RELIGION - (My research and Opinion) by Rawani: 8:05am On Mar 15, 2015
The triple facts that Jonathan is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, swore to protect the lives and properties of his citizens, and is in possession and control of the weapons and resources for war, suck away most arguments that his apologists muster in his defence.

Jonathan clearly allowed BH to fester for political and financial gain. The unfortunate effect this had apart from the lives and property lost, was the destruction of the moral fibre, and battle morale of our armed forces.

The several reports we have had from our former allies who originally intended to help us fight the insurgents, all implicate the NA & Jonathan for either lacking the political will to fight, or sabotaging genuine efforts as we saw with the gas mask debacle.

I strongly believe that the source and promoters of this insurgency will remain veiled as long as this administration remains in power, as the current fight seems insincere and a ploy to win the hearts of disappointed Nigerians before the elections.

Nothing remains hidden under the sun forever, our hope is that the insurgency is completely destroyed before ISIS upgrades their operations as a product of their recent merger.

We must however look ahead. The question is, can Jonathan who failed to defeat or even manage BH for 6 years, contain ISIS in 4 years?

We need change.

PoliticsRe: BUHARI WILL NOW WIN 28 March Election With A Wide Margin – Eurasia Group by Rawani: 6:59am On Mar 15, 2015
Clear and convincing analysis/forecast with backing facts and supporting data. Now this is how you predict an election outcome, not by relying on the cosmic fancies of drunk white witches.

Did I hear firefire mention incumbency?

"According to an IPSOS/Eurasia Group model for predicting elections, incumbents have a hard time winning reelection when their approval ratings are below 40%. We don’t have polling data to confirm where Jonathan is now, but given he was at around 50% at the end of last year, our best guess is that he is below 40% now."

-Eurasia Group, 2015.
PoliticsRe: Poll: If Today Was Election Day, Who Would You Vote For? by Rawani:
Nigerians have spoken. Every poll taken since last year has overwhelmingly returned Buhari, this is just a representation of the reality on ground, I wonder what kind of magic the PDP think they have done that can change our minds, Nigerians can see through all the hate campaigns and impromptu performance and cannot be deceived again. The ones still asking for continuity mostly just hate Buhari for being a muslim northerner, or need to keep lining their pockets by having the king of corruption in power. Only a tiny proportion dislike him because they really think he won't deliver.

The voice of the people is the voice of God. As for me and my family, we choose Buhari/Osibanjo for REAL transformation.

PoliticsRe: BOMBSHELL!!! Kwankwaso Lands Another Slap On The Faces Of Muhammadu Buhari by Rawani:
The latest PDP strategy seems to be to destroy the political alliance the North and SW enjoy, by manufacturing and sponsoring all manner of lies and deceit. We heard of the fake attack by Fulani's in Yoruba land, Fayose's latest song about the North being tricked into 4 years tenure, and the shameless practice of TANoids registering northern names on NL to preach hate and falsehood.

Kwankwaso could not have said that, as the North is 111% behind GMB, and we are not concerned about single or double tenure, we just want to be released from Goodluck's bondage of corruption and ineptitude as soon as possible. If he did, he must have been misquoted in the source-less post.

Nigerians are tired of GEJ's failures. We are united for CHANGE.
PoliticsRe: Buhari And The Burden Of Expectation By Dele Momodu by Rawani: 8:32am On Mar 14, 2015
Quintessential Dele. Another beautiful article highlighting the realities of Nigerians and the expectations we have from the amiable General.

GMB seems well aware of the task ahead, the brilliant strategies outlined in Momodu's article were skimmed from the numerous discussions, meetings, fora and speeches of the General, like the one at Chatham House.

His brilliant 3 prong strategy for tackling unemployment by blocking the drain pipes of corruption, robust fiscal planning and focusing on vocational education, is an example of the critical thought the General has engaged in to proffer solutions to our perennial problems. This gives me confidence that our incoming President can and will deliver on our expectations, at least that we know of, unlike Jonathan that we are sure does not know the first thing to do.

I'm sure Reno has framed that selfie he took with Momodu, he too doesn't want to be left out of the change movement, however he should be careful to show he still supports Jona on the outside before he is given the Sure-P treatment.

Ride on General, Nigerians are with you.
PoliticsRe: APC Supporters Should Have A Rethink by Rawani: 4:26am On Mar 14, 2015
I have never seen a more irresponsible write up unashamedly glorifying corruption while excusing impunity. How dare you say when two corrupt men meet, something good comes out of it? And labeling people concerned about government stealing and failure to protect lives and property as emotional people? What finally convinced me that this article is the product of a corrupt and perverted mind, was the illogical claim that the U.S and Britain attained success because they embraced corruption. Really?

While I'm unable to do a complete analysis immediately, I will surely do so if this thread gains any reasonable traction.

Instead of changing my mind, this article makes me sad for the conscience of the Nigerian youth, the biggest victim of Jonathan's corruption and failure.

PoliticsRe: Gmb's Candidacy: Where Are The Northern Voices -samuel Ajayi by Rawani: 3:04pm On Mar 12, 2015
To be honest, the relative silence is mostly strategic. For example, the born to rule propaganda is known to us, and we know how the North has, and still dominates governance, therefore any statement uttered unnecessarily stands the risk of being misconstrued as 'born to rule', therefore it's a safer bet to act instead of speak.

The efficacy of this strategy is self evident, as it forms the premise of this discourse. However the North's position with regard to GMB's campaign is unmistakable; one of unanimous support and cliff edge loyalty, to the best of my knowledge.
PoliticsRe: APC Government Will Implement Recommendations In CONFAB Report - Buhari by Rawani: 9:44am On Mar 12, 2015
This is the only issue some SW 'elders' have used as an excuse to turn a blind eye to Jonathan's corruption, ineptitude and impunity while endorsing him.

Well General Buhari is giving you the same implementation without the corruption baggage.

What more can you ask for?

VOTE CHANGE.
PoliticsRe: APC Government Will Implement Recommendations In CONFAB Report - Buhari by Rawani:
dein77:
Yes. We are listening to the inconsistent APC!

After initially rejecting and bad mouthing it, they are now telling us they will implement what they had earlier waved off as nothing. Epic instability!
The General is not a stick-in-the-mud that cannot listen to advice and opinion on what's better for Nigeria. He has just demonstrated that he will not put his personal interest ahead of national interest when he is sworn in, unlike Jonathan who sees nothing wrong with imposing criminals like Buruji Kashamu and Bode George as SW leaders against the wishes of the people.

Meanwhile tell Jonathan to stop his deceit and send the same Confab report to the National Assembly for implementation and stop using it to campaign. That report has been sitting on his table for 7 months now. Nigerians are not stupid, we know he will NOT implement that report once the elections are over.

PoliticsRe: How The Card Reader Will Be Used To Rig 2015 Elections by Rawani: 6:29am On Mar 12, 2015
Calm down, data on voters issued with incident forms are also recorded and sent to the central INEC database, so not every Sule, Taiwo or Ebelemi can be indiscriminately issued with incident forms. Besides where biometric identification fails, I understand other methods are used to identify the holder e.g. Photo identification.

The fact is that it is confirmed there are stolen PV cards, and the TVC's used in last year's election were instrumental to the massive rigging recorded. Therefore using the card readers has become a necessity, not an option.
PoliticsRe: Don’t Desecrate Church With Propaganda, Bishop Tells APC, Buhari, Tinubu by Rawani:
I stopped reading once the 'Archbishop' started campaigning against the use of Card reader and lobbying for TVC. Archbishop of PDP Diocese.

We cannot fold our arms and allow our religious institutions to be destroyed by bribery because of the selfish ambitions of one man.

We are resolute. We will vote for change.

Valid points raised. It's clear as day that the PDP are in panic mode, which is why we should brace ourselves for even worse propaganda and personal attacks from the desperados, who never imagined the end would come this soon.

We are resolute. We will vote for change.

PoliticsRe: PDP Chairman Tender Letter For Resignation [Unconfirmed] by Rawani:
If this news is confirmed, I congratulate you as fellow compatriots on our liberation from the largest, most corrupt and impunity-laden political party in Africa. I warned that the Punch investigation report published should not be brushed aside as TANoids here desired, but should be completely rubbished personally by the President immediately otherwise it would mark the destruction of the PDP. Well here we are. Goodluck to Jonathan.
PoliticsRe: INEC Just Shared This On Facebook. by Rawani: 8:28am On Mar 11, 2015
pazienza:
Polygamy- Easily cancelled by high infant and child mortality rates, associated with polygamy, as the children are many, while the parents have nothing to use to pay for their health care.

Lower crime rate- How did you arrive at this? How many people are lost to crime in the East in comparison to the death caused by crimes in North, any stats? What we know is that Boko Haram criminal acts had been ravaging the North's population.

Healthier life style- Are you trying the imply that the north has higher life expectation rate than the more educated South? I don't think so.

The North bogus population figure, defiles logic, especially when put in comparison with Chad, Niger and northern Cameroon with similar topography and climate, there is no logical explanation for this anomaly. This is daylight robbery that have gone on for long and need to stop if this colonial abomination is to have any chance of survival.
The entire casualty figure for this insurgency is still less than 30,000 out of a regional population of over 98,000,000 (98 million). The insurgency had been restricted and concentrated on one out of the three regions of the North, in just three or four out of 19 states.

As much as you would have loved the insurgency, which was purposely allowed to fester, to adversely affect the North's formidable electoral strength, the reality is that the votes lost with those innocent victims are discounted by the millions of Nigerians that now align with the movement for change.

The more you move to the Sahara with high mortality rate and less economic opportunities, the more the population pressure. No attraction to the economic zones of the nation? Nigeria defying all conventional wisdom since the time of Moses! Wow! What explains this trend that is not seen elsewhere around the world?
1. Polygamy (geometric vs arithmetic progression)

2. Lower crime rate (less cosmopolitan)

3. Healthier lifestyle (less junk food, more contentment etc)

I guess you will be the one to go and tell each illiterate voter on how to differentiate between the broom and the umbrella for all the elective posts on the day of elections (presidency, senate, house of representatives).

Just as you will be the one to tell illiterate gala hawkers and go round baby factories to teach them to differentiate between the chicken and the umbrella for all the elective posts on the day of elections (presidency, senate, house of representatives). If you don't know how the north votes, especially for a person like GMB, go study some history. The degree of loyalty to GMB in the north is simply unspoken and still seems to evade a few.
