Nawa for you Baba just admit it the guy dey rant untop matter wey no dey. Write about illegal church structures endangering lives. Bad belle dey smell

Mention their name not the organizers

Am loosing our discussion now, what is the bad belle there. No sensible Christian would support illegal structures collapsing - this leads to physical death. But making mockery of sacred things leads to spiritual death in itself.

The organisers gave them a podium to make mockery of God same way a pastor risks members lives by gathering their flock in an unstable building.

Both are wrong.

Oga it was not a church service it was in Gods presence but I dont think it was mocking the Lord to have comedic intervals

meaning for word church service
Definition
(noun) a service conducted in a house of worship

Please is TBS a house of worship ? It's a televised Gospel Concert and at concerts to setup the stage you have comedic intervals

Sorry you stopped going it's obvious you missed alot and assume it's a service

It's the comedians themselves you should hold accountable if you feel their jokes where not appropriate. Everyone is responsible for the individual actions here.

You can't use a dictionary to define a church.
The church is not a building neither is it a location. The church is a gathering of believers (Jesus says wherever two or more are gathered in His name He will be with them) . So except you say the attendees of the experience are not Christians, then I will agree with you that they can jest all night long but they still shouldn't joke about spiritual thing though.

It can never be right to use the word of God as joke, it's not right to joke about the Holy Spirit...

But I guess you don't see anything wrong in these things so I will leave you to your opinion. Ever wonder why Jesus drove away the money changers? Oh! Sorry I guess your answer would still be that Jesus drove them away from a temple right?

It's well.

The ministry was given in song with prayers no program was printed no tithe or offering was taken so please how does it make it a service

what I think is going on is no one expected it to be this big and unite all Christians together

Seriously? Are you saying it's until you give tithes and offering before you can consider yourself to be in the presence of God?

I attended the first 3 Experience and believe me the conveyner had always planned it very big. I'd probably tell you that it's less big now because most people I know have stopped attending for one reason or the other.

My thinking still is, anywhere the name of God is mentioned genuinely, God would be in their midst. So it doesnt matter how you choose to call it, most people go there to worship God - and that makes its a service.

My opinion is that if the Comedian is a born again child of God, and submits to his pastor as his spiritual father or even another pastor, nothing is really wrong in giving the stage to entertain the people with jokes. But the question now comes to if the jokes are edifying or not or when the comedian is not born again and tells typical worldly jokes which becomes a question of why bringing such into the house of God.

Highly anoited men of God also tell stories/testimonies that look like jokes thus lightening up the congregation with serious laughter. Papa Oyedepo does that sometimes, Daddy GO does that a few times, Apostle Suleiman does that well.

Pls read the article carefully. He was talking about using the name of Jesus, speaking in tongues, blood of Jesus, Holy Spirit and the scriptures as the theme of their reddicle. I don't think the Men of God u mentioned above do that.

I respect his opinion but as far as I remember experience is not a service but a yearly musical celebration so was that necessary

There lies the problem, experience wasn't meant to be just a musical celebration. It's a service and everything we as Christians do to God must be done in fear and trembling.

They sing to God and worship. A guest preacher comes around and gives a message and that is still not a service to you? So what exactly makes gathering of believers a service to God? Pray tell me.

The story explains she hadn't made sales for 3 days, the biscuit and drinks were probably from her stock.

Why do parents from Ondo Ekiti warn their children not to ever attempt marrying Abeokuta/Ijebu natives? ??

My dad is Egba, mum is Ondo. Am getting married to an Ekiti girl. Although I agree there is some form of beef btw Ijebus and Egbas, that hasn't stopped them from marrying each other.

I think its silly to say u won't marry a well cultured Yoruba girl because she is from a particular clan.

These are just a few of our many similarities which no one can really explain how they came about. So why don't we forget our differences and celebrate our similarities. Zik once told Sarduana ; Let us forget our differences. "No!" Sarduana retorted, "Let us understand our differences". 55 years has passed on and we are yet to understand those differences of ours. Zik was right! Let us forget our differences and build on our similarities. That is the way forward for Nigeria!

No sir! Let us understand and respect our differences first. Its because we choose not to understand and respect our difference that we have a lot of bigotry which unfortunately usually lead to tension amongst us.

Great story! Commended.
If I toast a lady, two things are involved.
If I love you from my heart of heart; I mean when there is this convinction you are the ONE, the longest time you can ever keep me waiting will be a month or two because I will just make it work(nature will smile on me when I have the right motif for you) one way or the other.
If I love you for loving sake, a 2-3 days is ok for you to give me your reply. YES, we make it real. NO, I delete you.
My perspective

IMO, she friend zoned him too long. They guy really tried waiting for 2 yrs. She is only upset because he found happiness being with her friend.

Well as the saying goes, you don't miss your water till the well runs dry.

I stumbled on this story and just had to share. It is one of romance, betrayal and deceit…a must read!

What do you guys think?

Segun had been on my case for at least 2 years.

I met him one hot Saturday as I was waiting for a taxi on a Grogner Street in Iwaya, Onike. He pulled over and asked where I was headed. I don’t ever talk to people on the road but this day, the look of the mist on the window of his air conditioned car made it difficult to ignore him given the extreme heat I was exposed to.

I stepped into his car, grateful for the ride, yet determined to let him know I was no cheap girl that jumps into available cars.
“Thank you so much, Sir, for the ride. I normally wouldn’t do this but I have been standing outside in the sun for at least 30 minutes. The cabs come in trickles and are either taken or too expensive. No one is interested in going my way”

“Where might that be?” He asked, totally ignoring every other thing I had said.

“I’m going to Ikota but I’ll drop off once we get to any major road where I can find a cab”.

“You’re in luck. I’m actually going to VGC but I need to get to Surulere first. So I can either drop you off at a taxi park or you accompany me to Surulere and then I drop you off at your doorstep.”

Inasmuch as I was so eager not to overuse help being rendered, I opted for the latter option. I was in no hurry whatsoever to go my empty home. Mom and dad were on their way to Ikene for a week long engagement and my younger siblings were all in school. My best friend, Mololu had kindly volunteered to spend the week with me but she would not be getting to mine until Sunday night so that meant I’d be spending Saturday night by myself with only Larry, the dog and Mustafa, the gate man, for company.

I looked at my wristwatch, with its recently cracked screen and declared,

“Well, it’s just 1.00 and I’m not in a hurry so I’ll go with you”.

I got to meet him properly. His name is Segun, a businessman who was into the oil and gas sector. He had been working for himself in Libya before moving to Nigeria earlier that year. The Nigerian side of his business was only just growing and was already facing major challenges but a meeting he had in Abuja two weeks from our meeting would determine if a major stumbling block would be removed and his license would be granted. He saw an RCCG band on my wrist and asked me to pray along with him. I promised to.

As he dropped me off at about 4pm that Saturday evening, I felt like I knew him already. Segun was very chatty, divulging a lot so quickly. During those hours we spent together, I also found out that he has a 5 year old daughter by a white French girl he dated all through his university years in France. The lady had gone on to marry another Nigerian and they lived in Port Harcourt with his daughter, Amélie. His dad was long gone and his mom had raised he and his siblings by herself. I did what I do not ever do. I gave him my phone numbers and my pin and from there, we became friends.

The problem with Segun was with his way of showing concern and love. My primary love language is Quality Time and I’m not really the type to get all mushy too early. So it came as a bit of a rude shock to me when I received my first “love you baby”, 2 weeks from the day we met. I really didn’t know what to make of the message and it abruptly ended our chat as I did not respond. To be fair to him, I assumed he was simply overjoyed as he was granted all necessary permits we prayed for, that he spoke out of turn.

About four hours after, at 1 am, I got another message from him telling me how much he’s so into me and how he feels like he has finally found what he had been looking for and if I would be okay being a second mom to his daughter and how he wants me to meet his mom. I read it and responded with a “BRB”. Later in the day, we met up for a meal and then I explained how, though I appreciate his feelings, it was all too soon for me and I would appreciate if I am given a bit more time to be on that kind of level with him. In the meanwhile, I suggested that we remain friends. He looked a bit disappointed but accepted and declared that he was in no hurry and would wait for me however long it took me to realise my feelings for him or develop them.

Segun was extremely generous to me, almost worryingly so. Once he travelled and brought me an orange Hermès’ Birkin 40cm bag which retails for about $2000. I was shocked and despite loving nice stuff, I didn’t want to take it from him initially but I eventually did mentioning it to him that he really didn’t need to spend that much on me and he should focus more on growing his business.

Mololu usually saw one Harrods or Neiman Marcus shopping bag or the other and was always encouraging me to “stop fronting and say yes to Segun before a sharp girl does”. I guess because of the manner in which he approached me, it made me a bit overly cautious since this his asking out was more like a proposal and he seemed so sure of his feelings for me. I slowed things down a lot and outrightly refused to meet his mom for the first three months. I didn’t want to get carried away at all and kept praying and taking things slow. Despite our living so close to each other, I hardly went to his and since I come from a relatively strict home, his visits were sparing as well (of my doing).

About six months after we met, work commitments took him away from Nigeria for a long while. During that period, he would come to Nigeria at least once a month, bombarding me with all manners of gifts. Even when he was not around, he’d randomly have flowers delivered to my office.

He would send handwritten letters by DHL and whenever anyone was travelling to Nigeria, he would have them deliver something to me, however small. There was a time he sent me a bottle of Lucozade because I had lamented that the Nigerian one tasted different. When it came to giving, Segun was without fault. But in my opinion, there was more to consider than how generous a man is.

Sometime, five months ago, Mololu was sent to England for a training to last 3 weeks and she used the opportunity to shop and ended up having 2 extra boxes. She complained over the phone to me telling me the airline was overcharging her and then, partly because I felt it right to help and partly because I had ordered somethings which she was bringing for me, I decided to ask Segun if he could help out since I know he always travelled light and never uses the extra allowance granted to him. He accepted to help bring the extra boxes and I gave her his hotel address to drop them off a day before her flight. He was due in Nigeria a week and half after.

My suspicion was first roused when, upon his arrival, he took the bags to Mololu’s in Ogudu, instead of as I expected, bringing it to me and having us sort ourselves out. I asked for the favour. I mentioned to him that my stuff was included in the box so it came as a surprise to me when he drove all the way to hers the next day to drop the boxes off. When I asked him why he did that, he said the boxes were quite heavy and that he was going that way and decided to drop them off. I had more questions but felt since I was not his girlfriend, there is a limit to the questions I can pose without looking funny. My pride got in the way and I decided not to mention it anymore.

The calls reduced. The texts were shorter. The usual “love you” closing went missing. ‘Mololu too reduced her communication with me. Then one day, she drove to mine and after lunch asked the most random question, ‘Are you and Segun in a relationship?”. She looked like she had struggled to ask that question but at the same time, as though that was her aim for coming to mine.

“Why do you ask?”

“Nothing at all o. Just wondering ’cause you have known him for a while and you said you were praying a while back for direction and was wondering if maybe God said no since you are not dating him”, she mumbled.

“Omololu, did I say we are not dating?”

“Oh sorry. But I kinda know you are not”

At this stage, I know she and Segun must have spoken about our relationship status and so I decided to cut to the chase.

“Did Segun mention it to you himself?”

She looked down and playing with her perfectly manicured nails, said yes. I had noticed she brought a brand new car to mine with a new plate number. She had the black of my Hermes bag too. Wow! I didn’t want to believe what I know just had to be the truth. It was written all over her face. I don’t know where I got the strength but I said not a word after that. Awkwardly, she picked up her bag and car keys. I noticed then it was a Hyundai. It must be the Sonata she always wanted ever since it was released last year. She would always point at every 2011 Sonata she saw on the road and say she’d one day, get it.

To cut the very long tale short, my best friend Omololu and my 2 year old toaster are now together. Segun drove to mine 2 weeks after Omololu did and said somethings to me. He first of all apologised. He said he was not sorry for moving on but sorry that it had to be someone I knew simply because of the sake of his consideration of my feelings and not because it was wrong. He said, as I never for once, declared any form of feelings for him during our almost 2 year friendship, he does not feel he had wronged me in any way. He said he would always be grateful for meeting me as, through me, a door of everlasting joy had been opened to him and he would like my blessing as he walks into it. I was weak.

To be honest, I’m not hundred percent certain which hurts more, the fact that I’m losing a really nice and eligible suitor, that I lost him to a ‘friend’, the sneaky way it happened or the fact that I almost executed the deed for them by creating an enabling environment.

I really wanted to know how it all happened and so I demanded the tale, not from Mololu, but from Segun himself. He told me that the week before he travelled, when he saw her at mine, they had got talking whilst I was in the bathroom and she had mentioned she would be off on training and that she would be doing crazy shopping for her new apartment. They had a few ‘moments’ that day but they did not exchange numbers. It was the day she brought the bags to his hotel that the sparks went flying. She had gotten to his hotel at about 12 noon and they went to out together and he dropped her off at her hotel at about 9pm. Early the next morning, at about 5 am, he drove down to her hotel to take her to the airport himself and from their journey, they got even closer. According to him, he knew that morning that he was ‘home’. That conversation sounded painfully familiar and I couldn’t help my grimace. At that juncture, I held up my hands and told him I was satisfied with the information he furnished and that they both have my blessing. He hugged me and left.

That evening, Omololu updated her status with these words “Those that wait on the Lord will rejoice. I rejoice. Behold, my Boaz!”. His picture was her DP. I remember that picture. I took it with his iPhone whilst trying out an app. Each day, a new picture of him would be put on display. There was even one of herself, Segun and his daughter. She had firmly ingrained herself in his life.

Due to how serious I know Segun is, it came as no shock to me when she told me they were getting married and she really wanted me to be her chief bridesmaid though if I felt I could not do it, she would understand. According to her, she was doing that for the friendship we once shared which she hoped we could revive. I refused. But not before letting her know that I could be counted on if she needed any assistance.

At about 12 midnight, I got this email from her,

“Sweetheart, I love you. God knows I do. I apologise for how I might have hurt you but despite all, I would be a liar to say I would or could elect to do things differently if given a second chance.

Oluwasegun has brought me the type of joy I thought was only for the fairy tales. But through him, I have my very own fairy tale. I love him with all my being. I know I might come across as insensitive and selfish. I am sorry. But please, try and find a place in your kind heart to let go of any hurt you might be experiencing and enter into a place of happiness for me, Omololu, your sister and best friend since our Corona days. It should not be heard that we are fighting over a man and remember, my darling, you never were in a relationship with Segun.

You never took the plunge, you shielded your heart from hurt and refused to commit to anything. I know you babes. When you truly love a man, you have no time for such long due diligence exercises. If you want to be sincere with yourself, you would admit that Segun never did anything to your heart. Your heart did not skip beats with the sound of his voice. Your body never quivered with the touch of his hands. I understand you two never even kissed. You clearly never felt love for him.

However, I cannot discount the friendship you shared. Till date, he still goes on and on about how you are the only friend whose loss moved him to his core. I can testify too of your level of regard of your friendship and respect for him. But my dear, friendship and respect are not solid foundation enough upon which to construct a marriage. You knew this and this is why you stalled. What did not grow in 2 years would most likely never grow.

I hope you understand that the aim of this email is not to throw in your face the fact that Oluwasegun and yourself never had anything concrete but to let you take a proper, honest and dispassionate look at goings on. If you do, forgiving me would come, naturally.

I can’t stop loving you dear. I am sad that the vow we made to each other 16 years ago to be each others’ maids of honour even if one got married first would not be fulfilled. Please, re-examine your heart and find a place in it to forgive me.

Yours now and always,

‘Mololu.”

The tears came pouring down. I couldn’t say exactly why and they were not asking. I felt sorry for myself. I felt sad because I really wasn’t crazy about Segun but we could have made it work, I guess. Omololu now was benefitting from all the prayers I invested in Segun, all the fasting. That, more than anything hurt me. I would have married Segun. I just needed him to pass one more test and voila, I’d have said yes to him. I never thought he’d stop loving me. I never though I’d lose him and certainly not to my friend, my supposed best friend.

***

I eventually decided to be her Chief Bridesmaid and muster strength to be happy for her. There was no faking the look of intense joy on her face when I told her I changed my mind. She jumped on me in her usual boisterous fashion, laughing and crying at the same time.

God has been helping me. It has been hard. Especially when I see the look on Segun’s face as he looks at her. He never looked at me that way, I must confess.

His business has been doing greatly and he is sparing nothing for his wedding. His daughter, upon Omololu’s request, will be both the little bride and the flower girl. Omololu’s nephew will be the ringbearer. Her Eli Saab dress is absolutely beautiful. Segun flew us both to England to get it. She asked for a size bigger and I suspect she is pregnant.

With each day, the feeling of hurt and betrayal gets slowly taken over by happiness for her and hope for my own future. I still haven’t met anyone worth reporting on and despite this, I have joy. Not happiness, but joy; joy that all will turn out well. But for now, I still can’t help from asking myself each time I look at Omololu, ‘How could she?!‘

Dear readers, what are your thoughts? Would you call Omololu a ‘husband’ snatcher? Was the writer at fault? Did she stall for too long??

This is the problem. When the law is enforced people become angry and take sides based on sentiment. The Speaker of the House is supposed to be the man chosen by the MAJORITY party in the house. When the SPEAKER defected to the MINORITY PARTY he also left the seat that belonged to the PDP.

The Police did the right thing and showed him that nobody is above the law in this new Nigeria. You can't, as you said, blame GEJ because it was the legislature enforcing the legislatures rules.

I'm from Imo State. There's no baby factories or kidnapping here anymore. Same with Anambra, Abia and Awka Ibom that were suffering from these crimes. I in large part blame our vigilant governors (mine being from APC) but the quality of police the FG gave them to work with is what made it all possible.

When you can't applaud someone's achievements, your own will evade you. You mean to tell me that you're going to say GEJ didn't do well with the elections since his tenure? 2011 was said to be Nigeria's cleanest election by INTERNATIONAL and unbias observers. We have seen around 10 gubernatorial elections without a single flaw but you still won't give GEJ credit?

I have you the facts on what he has done and you want to tell me 'lets see if 2015' is fair and free? Because if he wins you will say it's not? Like I said give credit where it's due. You have no reason to actually hate this man because even his enemies say he's a kind and humble man. For the most part he not only appear to be a very nice and humble guy, you know at the bottom of your heart that he's not the person the opposition tries to paint him as with their '50 trained snipers' lies.

FYI, I don't hate GEJ, I just don't trust him with another 4yrs. That doesn't make me a bad person biko.

If you say he has achieved a lot in 6yrs, well its your standard he has met up with. My standard as a Nigerian is quite high and GEJ has scored awfully low.

I have not spill any sentiment here. And like I said, I will not blame GEJ for the rot I still see in d force. what would you say about the removal of Amaechi's police guards? Wasn't that political?

I still maintained that the election of 2011 was free and fair because of the love Nigerians had for GEJ. I was an INEC official in a ward in Lagos then. Lagos that was an AC state massively voted for GEJ. Pple practically told PDP agents at the pool that they are only voting for GEJ and not PDP! Lol! Frankly GEJ had massive support from the SW in 2011. Majority of the pple that fought to make him president during the unfortunate Yar'adua's episode were from SW. So the call against him now has nothing to do with tribal sentiments. The SW just want change.

Well, I agree GEJ is a good man, but Nigeria doesn't need a good man to lead her, she needs the right man. The facts you say you have are mere paper facts. As they say on Nairaland, we need facts that will reduce the price of garri.

God bless Nigeria and may the "right" man win the election.

Now may I ask that you score him on steps he has taken to

fight corruption,

1. Freedom of information Bill: Without this bill we wouldn't have know about subsidy fraud, pension fraud, the amount of ghost workers that were in government, and fertilizer fraud. Instead of chasing each person one by one GEJ destroyed the systems they used to commit corrupt acts.
Incase you don't know corruption is a broken SYSTEM while stealing is taking something that doesn't belong to you unlawfully. So a father that beats his wife is has corrupted his duties but he's not stealing. GEJ is an educated man and understands this so it's going to be difficult for you to make that type of 'corruption/stealing' joke. While the corruption in Nigeria involves stealing 90% of the time, there's other forms of corruption (nepotism, lack of transparency, lying, etc) that don't involve stealings. The FOI bill allows the average Nigerian and whistle blower to see where our money is going, and several corrupt SYSTEMS have been destroyed because of this.

2. Cashless Policy: Because government doesn't conduct it's business with cash anymore, the Ghana Must Go era is over. Politicians can no longer make a single purchase without people knowing. This is who Stella Oduah was caught and dismissed for example. Prior you could use cash and it would be impossible to identify you. The Cashless Policy also plummeted the frequency of highway armed robbery because today many Nigerians go months without dealing with cash especially in cities like Lagos. With the amount of banks and ATMs that are around you, i'm surprised you don't see a difference in your life.

45,000 Ghost workers have been eliminated in 4 years
Fertilizer subsidy fraud is a thing of the past

3. Fair and Free Elections: We have witness 4 years of the most civil, organized, clean fair and free elections in our history. GEJ's own party has taken loses and wins in key states due to his refusal to cheat despite his power and his reorganizing of the process.

security

1. Police reform: Our police today are better than what they were in the past due to police reform. The plague of armed robbery has been addressed by the cashless policy, the plague of kidnapping is a thing of the past, and Boko Haram remains contained. No town taken by BH isn't back in federal government hands. Our campuses are no longer dominated by cults.

1. Privatization: and the results are below

Brazilian Firm to Build 700 MW power plant in Nigeria
http://www.powerengineeringint.com/articles/2014/08/brazilian-firm-to-build-700-mw-power-plant-in-nigeria.html

more on power supply improvement, investment surges and so forth later. I have to eat jor.

Let's come to the police, is it not the same police that locked up the house and members of the house had to scale through gates? The same chief of police that refused to recognised and respect the office of the speaker. The police that has an Mbu that withdrew the security of a governor because the governor was at logger head with GEJ. What has really change about them, nothing and frankly speaking I wouldn't blame GEJ for the rot in the police. It has been like that for ages.

On the matter of free and fair election, I agree the election was relatively free and fair compared to what we've had in the past. But do you know why it was free and fair? Nigerians massively voted for GEJ, at least in the South. Nigerians with their sentiments felt GEJ was "the one", largely because of his political surge and antecedents. The election was free and fair because the SS, SE, SW and North Central wanted and loved him. Even AC fielded a political moppet against him. The north voted for him because they assumed he would only spend a term and power would revert back to them.

Let's see how free and fair 2015 election would be. Am hoping for the best though.

Privatisation, this is day four and there is still no light in my area, and the bills NEPA bills are still crazy.

See ehn, showing me reports and pictures of GEJ achievements without me seeing the dividend of democracy is like watching NTA news. I need to see and feel it. I need to see corrupt pple in jail, I need to experience at least 20hrs electricity supply, I want to see the Chibok girls back, I want to see Borno safe, I want to see Asari Dokubo and Tompolo shut up, I to see subsidy removed but first I want to see genuine and honest plans to utilise the money effectively.

I want to see strong and top ranked universities and not many universities, l want end to strikes...I want CHANGE!

Our campuses are no longer dominated by cults.

electeicity supply

1. Privatization: and the results are below

Brazilian Firm to Build 700 MW power plant in Nigeria
http://www.powerengineeringint.com/articles/2014/08/brazilian-firm-to-build-700-mw-power-plant-in-nigeria.html

more on power supply improvement, investment surges and so forth later. I have to eat jor.

Nepotism, tribalism, lying, stealing and their likes are all subsets of the monster called corruption. And in my experience as a Nigerian, stealing easily represents more 50% of this hideous monster. You claim he exposed corrupt politicians through his FOI act and cashless policy, all well and good. But has anyone be persecuted? Has he made anyone answer for his crime?

I don't support pple who insult the office of the president but his actions and inactions really look clueless sometimes. Although Sanusi made a political mess of the money that was stolen, but the Finance minister concurred that some certain billions of $ were missing. How did our president react? In his words, he said no money is stolen, if it was, American would know about it because its their money!

All am saying is this; besides exposing and collapsing the system that makes corruption strife, he should also use his powerful office as the Commander in Chief to persecute. He was quick to suspend Sanusi but we know what happened to Stella Odua, Alliso Maduekwe and other.
Do we even still have EFCC as an institution? GEJ has complete made it impotent.

OK,
1.Train: good achievement, in fact its a great one.

2. Agriculture: the price of garri hasn't come down. Has it?

3. Ebola: c'mon this is absolutely unfair, and misplaced. The true heros were the medical workers and volunteers, even our media faired better. In what way did the FG contribute? Lagos state faired better in combating Ebola.

4. Enugu airport: well have not flown to that side of the country so I won't comment

5. Education: we had many ASUU strikes during his 6yrs, polytechnics were on strike for close to a year. What's the point of having new schools when we can hardly maintain and fund existing ones. Instead of the almajiri schools, I think the same funds could have been used to upgrade the existing schools in the north. By the way, what are his plans of sustaining these new schools when older institutions are seriously underfunded. In my opinion founding new schools was a callous decision.

Now may I ask that you score him on steps he has taken to fight corruption, security, electeicity supply, stealing (since he insisted stealing by government officials is a lesser evil).

How well did he handled the unfortunate Chibok girls episode? What has happened to the oil subsidy debacle.? He promised us special FG buses in Lagos state we are yet to see one.

Has electricity supplied improved? As I write we haven't seen electricity for 3 days. If GEJ had tackled just electricity and corruption, I bet you Nigerian right now would have been singing his praises.

Brother, there is no way I can read that ur post. Its just too long. Besides, I don't need to read papers to know if GEJ has achieved. I should be able to see, feel and experience it.

GEJ had made so much promises and delivered on few. He can't better himself if we give him a second chance. He makes disappointing and embrassing statements, he surrounds himself with misfits.

Honestly, I am disillusioned and I yearn for something different, a different party, different policy, different everything. I don't see GEJ helping me with this.

The SE politicians were raining insults on Awolowo and the ACN as a party, please.
Learn to distinguish between Awolowo, ACN and Yorubas. Because, guess what? They are not the same.

And I hope you know what Awolowo means to an average Yoruba man. Things like these are what keep dividing us on ethnic lines. Would you like it if some political bigots from SW or north gathered together and insult Azikiwe or Ojukwu and we have the President of Nigeria sitting there and cheering them on?

The president shouldn't be associated with things like these. He is the president of NIGERIA. Its time he acted like one. Oops, I think its already late for him. Change is here. The change is GMB.

It's your choice to misconstrue, but the fact of the matter is that he never singled out "Yoruba leaders".
If he really insulted Yoruba leaders, how come you never stopped to ask yourself why Mimiko, Alao-Akala (he was governor at the time) and the numerous Yoruba Obas never reacted, but ONLY ACN members had their knickers in a twist?

Also, for the record, ONLY Lagos and Osun were under the control of ACN in the South-West at that time (pre-election 2011), so that statement about how "they represented, to a 'LARGE' extent, Yoruba elders" is technically false.

In the end, you have the freedom to read the currents as you wish.

And after the elections how many ACN governors sprang out from the SW? Lagos, Ekiti, Osun, Ogun, Oyo, so all these governors are rascals? Not like I expect you not to sugar coat your replies, but be real man.

I insist that its not befitting for a president to make such utterances. And you are yet to answer my questions; can GEJ make such callous statements in the North or SE? We do have oppositions there too you know.

I won't insult him because as unfortunate as it is, he is my president, but whatever insults he receives from the opposition, all I can say is that GEJ started it, he should learn to live with it.

If you wish to still quote me, be kind enough to answer the questions above.

Please, get your facts right.
Goodluck Jonathan NEVER insulted Yoruba leaders as the propagandists are saying. As a matter of fact, I remember what happened.

It was during the 2011 election period, when he went to campaign in the South-West for himself and the PDP candidates.
He was in a state controlled by ACN when he said...

"The South-West is too important to be under the control of rascals"

That was an obvious zinger aimed at TINUBU AND HIS ASSOCIATES.
I repeat, at NO POINT did he ever say "Yoruba leaders," so why the lie?
Let's stop this, please.

And what do you have to say about his presence in Anambra when they were raining insults on the SW?

And can you please name these so called "associates"? These associates are the elders in the then ACN. They represent to a large extent Yoruba elders, we both know SW pple love and respect the ACN (with or without Tinubu). Now tell me, can Jonathan go to Anambra to campaign for PDP and call APGA leaders rascals? Can GEJ go to the north and call these same northern leaders rascals all because they demand for a northerner as president in 2015?

Sincerely I don't support pple insulting the office of the president, I believe he is the president of Nigeria and not PDP, but GEJ with his utterances and actions has desecrated the office. Am a SW and I will not condole a president that calls any of my SW governors rascals all because they belong to the opposition.

Brother there is no government in this world that will ever govern without constant exposure to criticism. GEJ is not a perfect man and me as a person have criticized him in some ways but, must we occupied a certain position before we can profer solutions to issues? Majority of those APC supporters are failures from PDP, other non-PDP political offfice holders, how far have they manage the resources within their powers? The problem of this nation is far from the presidency because in our own little ways we are not helping issues, always criticizing. I just pray that this change of persons in power we are caving for won't take us back from where we are presently!! God bless Nigeria!!!

You are right, every presidents face criticism, but what makes a good president is how he responds to criticism. Consequently, even if GMB wins he would be criticised. How he responds is what matters.

GEJ has spent 6yrs in power and without prejudice, my life as a citizen of this great country hadn't changed. Electricity supply hasn't improved, security is a bigger national issue, corruption is at its peak. Has standard of education risen? He founded more universities, but do we have our own Harvard or Cambridge? Do you know our many months higher institutions went on strike? The most annoying achievement I heard is that we have more billionaires!

I have so many questions I wish I could ask him directly. If he couldn't do anything about these after 6 yrs, who says he would with another 4 yrs. You know what they say "you can't keep doing the same thing and expect a different result"

Let's do something different now by voting for change. I vote for GMB for the change.

That is my point, if you are really generalizing your point, why GEJ all the time? This statement by GEJ that is now your point of concern is not in any way causing national disunity compared to that of GMB and Ameachi. I blelieve you are a dynamic youth, after that statement by GMB in 2011, the Northerners started killing the serving corps members from the South who were serving in the North. Did your GMB called his people to order? GMB has never be a saint and he won't after 2015!!

Do you know why GEJ unfortunate utterances never cause riots in the SW? Its because SW youths are more enlightened. I support GMB no doubt and I also admit his statements as a northern political leader is rather insensitive. But that's the north bro, and GMB isn't the president of Nigeria, GEJ is. So as a national leader he should always find a way to bring the nation together not divide it.

Well, that's not even why I won't vote for GEJ. I think he condoles corruption, he is clueless, (stealing is not corruption!). What has happened to the oil subsidy debacle? What has he done to the cabal he claimed were in his cabinet and too powerful for him as a president? How did he handle the chibok girls episode? Why did he have to wait for a 13 yr old girl to tell him to act responsibly?

I can go on and on but I guess you already know all. I just need reasonable explanations not even right or wrong answers just explanations from him.

I need a change and frankly I dont think GEJ will give me the change I need. GMB breaths fresh air. That's a change.

Meaning the statement your so called GMB made after 2011 elections that is still hunting this nation till date was a joke or the parallel Government already being propsed by Amaechi after 2015 is a joke too right? Brother I can see your one sided judgement!!

Brother, never said GMB is a saint, neither is Amaechi. How are about Kastina Gov who told his supporters to smash the opposition like cockroaches. We know all Nigerian politicians are power drunk, no exemptions.

People keep portraying GEJ like a humble and angelic politician. IMO he is worse, why would he insult another tribe because the don't support him.

He really did, most radio stations broadcast it. To think he was still loved by almost all then.

People keep forgetting that majority of the people that fought for him to becoming the acting president were from SW. Where were his SE SS people when the starting was tough for him. He then came to their land less than 2yrs and called their leaders rascals all because Yorubas don't support PDP.

He actually did when he came to Lagos to campaign for his first term elections. For a president, he has an unbridled tongue. Not like I liked the then ACN, but the #1citizen of Nigeria shouldn't stoop that low to exchange insult just to win elections.

This is actually the genesis of the insults he keeps getting from SW. You earn respect and its also reciprocal.

He was also present when SE politicians were insulting APC, Yoruba and Pa Awolowo. The fact is dt our President's body language, actions and inactions tends to divide us along ethnic and tribal lines.
