Coincidentally, i had a dream too, felt no need to share until I saw yours

Was called upon and given a list over ten selected names to type their APL, i discovered it was arranged according to specific pattern and all d names on d list had a common ground (either same state or same course) i quickly went through and saw my name @number five (coincidence i am number5) i sat down amongst a group of other applicants given lists to type APL for.. I wondered why it was given to us to type anyway.

After a while, there was a notice for some sort of devotion time in the towers all man to his tent of prayer, there and then i saw so many persons kneeling down and crying to God for APL, i tried to wonder since so many persons were praying so graciously, who would God answer, and i got a reply that God knows the heart and destiny of everyman and in the midst of us all. After devotions we came back to the room we gathered earlier and this time, the chairman sort of personell in d room came forth and gave each of us typing, the complete list of applicants from our category and deir scores... I looked into mine and i saw very few people with wonderful scorers, the highest scorer had 94% and happened to be someone i met on this page, i smiled.. I went to number 5 and saw my name my score was boldely written 32%++ and i wondered WTF, how would i have scored 32% and my name was among those to get APL, the chairman came close and told me the ++ signifies that scores of two major members of the panel who scored me high had been removed by someone unknown to me and the 32 was the score collated from the other members of the panel, then he tapped me on the back and said its inconsequential as the most important thing is that i was already sitting among staffs of nnpc, doing the job and i found my name in the list of those to get APL. I shrugged and continued inserting names on the APL and printing..

Weird weird weird... I think i have been reading so much of this page... Gods grace is sure anyways.

I would choose fully funded PhD in a top 5 US school over NNPC.

It opens better opportunities. PhD in a top school is highly coveted in the international job market. My friend that did his PhD, also fully funded, in a Top 20 US school got Shell US job almost immediately after finishing.

Its laughable at first but this template would confirm all the hypothesis that has been posted here and further nnpc recruitment would not be subject to so many theories, frustrations and confusions that is being experienced on this thread.

I would like to suggest that, since we are all here to update one another and give relevant and "true" information, we should not see it a big deal to give a full detail of what ever info we have. We should not wait until people start asking how, when, evidence this and that.
Yes, we do not owe anyone any evidence nor explanation for anything, as we (many of us) do say. But to me, inasmuch as i am here for updates also, any update from my side, i see it right , not be begged before i do the right thing.

This is a faceless forum as we all know, nobody knows who is who, and it is the situation of things that prompt people not to just trust anything anyhow, especially when they don't even know anyone by name or face. So we should see it as a way of shedding more light to this "clumsy" situation.

In that light, i want to suggest a template we all can copy to report, especially our new alerts. We dont even need to first announce it as we used to. We all know there is no correlation btw APL and TP already.

I'm not a frequent commenter here but I've noticed recently how this thread has been flooded with fake people whose primary intention here is to dupe people... Yes, I mean to dupe people...

To all the hopefuls here, beware of them...Remember "by their fruits we shall know them"... They have chosen to use a thrick, which I will expose right now...

They have many monickers here, and on Twitter. They are aware of the recruitment process by virtue of following this thread. They are fully aware of the 'present heat' in the thread, and our ignorance of what is going on in the towers.. so they take advantage of that. They add to the 'heat' by creating fear in people, telling us here many stories like...the process is concluded...Apl is being given out,...the process is being hijacked by senators,...the process is being influenced/manipulated in the towers...and many alike stories...infact they go further to claim that they are highly connected. They are also the ones behind Twitter's posts and they bring it here...

Now, why are they telling us all these stories. It's not far fetched, they want to create more fears in d innocent hopeful people, so that at the end, some innocent people here will be running after them for help and they take advantage of that to dupe them...

Pls let's be guided, not all that glitter are gold...be careful of some people here... Not everyone that post here shares our hope of getting APL. Some are just usual social media opportunists looking for platform to devour people...

First and foremost, I cant recall mentioning suing NNPC for non-compliance. I recall vividly saying a breach in policy leads to penalties and this points to the officials in charge of disbursing the compensation.

And about policy change, if you have any idea on how company policies are made you wouldn't come up with that vague statement that "the policy might have been changed". You certainly wouldn't and I reiterate reread my conversation with Kevlala, you would understand better. You would likewise get enlightened on how Kevlala portrayed the situation of a change in policy.

As regards policy, there are several factors that brings about a policy change but it's only if you are aware of the date the policy was approved that you can authoritatively say it has not been changed.

Permit me to say this is why we have problems in this country. Where a governor who is expected to do his primary role of providing basic amenities rather sees it as a privilege to the people that he/she could only provide 10% of it and he still gets praised for it.

I think you are confusing CSR/ CDA( Community Development Agreement) with an organisations compensation policy. These are 2 different things. If you want enlightenment on the 2 ask and I will explain further.

I maintain, the policy might have been changed, and it's not a must they honour it. You cant sue them for bringing you to Abuja without paying Tfare...it does not hold brief in our constitution either.

How about we rephrase it with respect to what policies are - a deliberate strategic statement of intent passed by the senior management or governing body of an organization. Hence, it is the duty of every personnel bound by that policy to comply just as it is expected of anyone who is given the duty to reimburse applicants to do so.

This is more about the NNPC being accountable by judiciously carrying out one her duties.

My brother that they have internal policy to be complied with by their employees and enforced by internal control staff do not mean that policy cannot change. The internal policies are not for public consumption. No law court would sanction/penalize a company for breach of its own policy.. it's the exclusive preserve of their management to do so.

Their protest is not valid at all. It's not their right but a privilege to show they value prospective employees.
