Politicians from different tribes especially from the SW have tried to convince others that the SE isn't a favourable region for the presidency and you expect them not to come out to demand for presidency with all provocative statements made so far, a major tribe for that matter... C'mon now, make we no just make tribalism blind our eyes.. Bro, if you check very well more than 60% of your comments here on nairaland are against the ibos..Just go back to all your posts and see for yourself... If an Igbo man insults a Yoruba man, it's not a valid reason why they don't deserve to produce the president vice versa..
Don't let nairaland spoil your heart with tribalism... u can't keep insulting people day n night n expect them to vote for u |

Dsalvo: I just don't get why Buhari and co won't let them go. Nigeria would be more united and far better off without them.
No nation can truly develop and be great hosting enemies-within, i.e Igbos, as Nigeria does.
What all Nigerians should push for uncompromisingingly is restructuring and more regional autonomy so every region in Nigeria can define their space in their own true image.
This 'one Nigeria' thing is really a pain around the neck of Yorubas.
Imagine oved 10 million ingrate Igbos in the SW, beefing Yorubas 24/7 they should be grateful to, yet how many Yorubas in their godforsaken SE? 200 to 500k? If that sef.
"One Nigeria" really is unfair Nigeria. they don't hate Nigeria, they are just using that as a bait to get presidency Where were they during Jonathan's regime when stealing wasn't corruption They are just pained cos they aren't part of the looters. Had it been Jonathan is still in power till today n all these is happening they won't utter a word. Just imagine someone like jaroman who hates Nigeria will passion change his voice n called Nigeria a great country when someone pressed his mumu botton that anyim pius anyim will b President. Give igbos presidency n see how they will start describing Nigeria as paradise |

Amah70: If you see that 1999 primaries as a contest, you are most deceptive.
Obasanjo was freed from prison to contest under PDP formed by late Alex Ekwueme with his Group of 33. How could Obasanjo, just from prison, have defeated Ekwueme in the PDP primaries, if not that there was a nod by politicians to having a Yoruba to succeed Abdusalam Abubakar? FYI, there were few Yoruba in PDP then. They were in the local Yoruba party, AD/ACN. let an igbo man go n seek for the nod from politicians, every southerner will contest |
Politics › Re: 2021: Succession Game Ahead Of Next General Elections by Reality3080: 9:47am On Dec 30, 2021 |
Amah70: On Succession game:
Injustice imperils a country.
Zoning/Rotation of the presidency between the north and the south has been on since return to democracy in 1999 when we all acquiesced to fielding two presidential candidates, Obasanjo Olusegun and Olu Falae, from the SW region to contest on the platforms of the two largest political parties then. Zoning/Rotation was reason for late Yar'Adua to succeed Obasanjo.
Zoning also played its role in making Goodluck Jonathan succeed late Yar'Adua.
In 2023 therefore, it's the turn of the Igbo in the SE to succeed President Buhari. Nobody gave south west presidency, we fought for it n defeated every other candidate that showed interest Obj defeated ekweme Olu falae thrashed ogbonnaya onu So u can see it was contested in 1999 Same way it was contested in 1999 is the same way it will b contested in 2023,so let d best win |

It was not micro zoned to the entire north but only to a particular tribe in the north isn't? Why are the yurobas calling for zoning to the entire south when is obvious that they are not interested in igbo candidacy? igbos who are among the three major tribe that formed the country called Nigeria ,have not been given opportunity to produce the president ? Laggafin: It's not ogbonnaya obi .. but ogbonnaya onu my friend .. and pls don't quote me out of context cause u want to make lame argument.. igbos are not threatening any Oda ethnic nationality in dis country ..All we saying is what is just is fair to all.. you can't keep shifting the goal post all de time all in bid to shortchange a major ethnic stock that makes up de diverse ethnic nations here.. whether u like it or yes .. the major parties in Nigeria and Oda ethnic groups including the igbos microzoned the presidency to the South West .. as result of the fall out from Abiola incaceration and death by the military junta.. Onu and ekueme coming out to contest in de various parties at de time wasn't they felt they wil win.. it's just to give the contest a democratic colouring .. but the actual votes in the primaries of the various showed votes including that of the Igbo delegates overwhelming voting for the South West candidates.. that produced olu false and obasanjo in the both dominant parties at the time.. it was not by stroke of luck that this occurrence happened but a deliberate action to pacify the South West.. so pls you guys should stop twisting or turning history on its head cuz Y'All just love to hate this great and industrious tribe .. that has grown from Ash to grace in so short a time to your bewilderment.. That's the truth .. and we know it south south n south west will also give 2023 election a democratic colouring too |
