There are still politicians who are great assets.

You see Wike, Ganduje, OUK, etc These men can fight your fight. The have a basic level of popularity and understand their political terrain. They have the capacity to do modest work and still politick.

Ayu, Okowa, Chidoka, etc

These men do not have anything to offer.

In life, pray to locate people with capacity. Not noise makers.

Tinubu aligned first with Ganduje. And the man stood firmly with him. Others followed shortly.

In politics, Keep Ego aside and beg who has the power to deliver you. Forget rabble rousers.

Unfortunately, even the Edo, Warri, Calabar, Akwa Ibom & Ijaw man is told by some Lagosians to go back to his state & are called an Igbo. Imagine you who produce the oil that feeds some1 being told by the same person to go back to ur state. It is the height of bigotry and hubris!
APC has raised a group of people who now brag that they are accommodating people. I don't know what accommodation they are talking about because they provide nothing for anyone. Zero! Nothing! Every relationship the rest of the country has with Lagos or any other place is fully Transactional. Nothing is giving or dashed to anyone. Nothing! Lagos itself is a big beneficiary of the Niger Delta oil proceeds. Lagos has benefited from Niger Delta oil even more than many Niger Delta states. Lagos revenue is the product of the transactional activities of these cluster of people that have come in and settled here. Nothing is giving to anyone. It is all purely transactional.

So it is sad that APC has raised a group of bigots and boastful persons who claim they are accommodating people with nothing! Folks who can't even accommodate themselves are claiming they are accommodating others. It is a shame to watch the hubris, empty boastfulness and bigotry in real time.

I feel bad mostly for my fellow Yoruba brothers, who have stood for truth in this period of such ungodly bile, hatred and bigotry. They are the real heroes of this period, having taken a stand for truth against all odds.

Unfortunately, the consequences for all these will be with us for a long time to come. It is a sad time. So sad

Lagos was capital of Nigeria for over 70 years, and as a result, recieved the largest direct and indirect investment of any area. Had the British not moved the capital of Nigeria from Calabar to Lagos in early colonial times, chances are that Lagos might have just been another sleepy coastal town today. Our collective patrimony made Lagos what it is, and many people see the place as the exception and not the norm

However the 2023 has shown many Igbos, such as my self, a laughable attitude of Yorubas towards the place.

1. The labour candidate, Gbadebo vivour, was reduced to an outcast by some Yorubas because his mother is Igbo, and his wife is Igbo. Remarkably, the same Yorubas did not see any problem with this when Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun was running, his mother is Igbo and he is married to an Igbo woman

Akeredolu ran for Governor, his wife is Igbo, but Yorubas had no problem voting him. The hypocrisy is laughable

2. This is issue of Lagos being no man's land has become as laughable as Tinubu's shaking hand. Are Yorubas that angry that some people refer to Lagos as no mans land? The same Lagos that Northerners have fought Yorubas in, and killed Yorubas in Mushin, Mile12 and Idi Araba? But Yorubas showed more anger at mere words than those who slaughtered over 100 Yorubas in Idi Araba


3. The Yorubas telling Igbos to go back home, complaining that Igbos are moving to Lagos, warning Igbos not to interfere in Lagos politics, denying Igbos the right to vote, are all laughable. If Yorubas want these things, then they should get serious about the agitation for Oduduwa Republic. They should also support Igbos getting their own seperate country. But to have one leg in 'one Nigeria' while making demands about which Nigerian can go where, is as laughable as Tinubu's brown teeth.

I.am ot gonna talk about what I observed ...but I will focus on the lessons learnt...I am now more than convinced that we are not one in this country .if the yorubas can decend this low cos of election then.you can now wonder how the feel about others .
