See ..i run from liquid soap in port harcourt o!
yesterday, i priced the local liquid soaps.. 1.5L ~ #200! 75cl ~ #100!
morning fresh and mama are around 500/L
i can't see profitability in such condititions...
but i will continue me research shaa.. inputs are just too expensive to compete at that local rate

I personally don't use C.M.C, I lack that patience. I use nitrosol.

So, you may have to carry out the experiment to ascertain that your self. @ Realityshot

Thanks.
ok..thank you so much.

good morning Sir

Since you're starting with a small portion now, use 3 by 3 spacing on some portion and 1.5m by 1.5m on some to compare.
alternatively, you can use 3m by 3m now to reduce to 3m by 2m.

Thanks.
hi
getting my self a plot on rent today..

hope that will be a good start..

Heyllo Sir. Just remember C.M.C has to be soaked for over 24hours before use.

Thanks.
ok..thank you Sir.. i hope C.M.C and nitrosol give about same consistency in the final soap?
am doing small market research..

Heyllo Sir, it depends on the stage of the soap at a point but you definitely would like your soap to breathe, so carboard or paper like is the best.

Except the soap is in gelling process (phase).......or if the method used yield a very solid bar.

Thanks.
ok thank you Sir..

please i want to confirm:
in liquid soap,
the quantity of C.M.C is same as Nitrosol, right?
how about the water needed to mix C.M.C , is it same quantity as that of Nitrisol?

thank you

Hot caustic isn't cold process. The temperature of the system when using hot caustic is far higher than that of the cold process, so i term it hot process.
hmm...
so do you mean soa made with hot lye can be used immediately it hardens?
BusinessRe: I Make Over 110,000 Bars Of Soap Every Month ( See Pictures) by RealityShot:

Time is money! 7 days is too expensive compared to what you will spend to use hot process

heat is involved in hot process, you either heat up your oil to a certain temperature before adding your cooled caustic solution or you use hot caustic without heating the oil. In using hot caustic, you don't necessarily have to heat the caustic solution. when you dissolve caustic in water it undergoes an exothermic process releasing heat, thus the solution becomes hot enough to be used in hot process...
you refer to using hot caustic solution as hot process?

thats what i do..

from my research, its called cold process soaping too... Because the soap is not heated and forced through the gell phase.

you say otherwise?

it still requires 4 weeks cure time. See link

iHart:
why not try hot process and save yourself the long cure period?
hot process adds to the direct costs
and increases the risk and stress of soaping.
even if you choose to destry the environment by using fire wood,
its more stressful..

by the way, you can use soap after 7 days so no bigg

Nothing rejoices my heart as seeing my own student doing well and even better in some areas.
The attached images are some of the products of one of us. You all will be amazed at the level she's gone. Her sale is far greater than I've recorded myself. lol.

Trust me, we have a lot of us here doing really great, some are just quiet...........but still not happy with some here that are yet to take action.

The last image is turmeric (processed one) she got as directed.

Thanks.
which better for storing soap?;
1) nylon
2) carboard paper

Thanks for the clarification.
However it does seem that with the spacing mentioned (1.5m) could have a few more added to that 1000 number. But then if you are thinking ahead to harvest time, and would prefer to reduce the distance of carrying the plantains from the tree to the truck (by driving the truck into the farm ) then this might be the way to go.

I used the following to model it out.
Spacing Calculator
yes all that must be considered...
will check the calc later.

this is good for agriculture in Nigeria..
we must apply our technological know-how to improve the processes
thanks

Thank you for the back and forth on this topic. However, as you probably can see, I prefer to model things out.

So, for either 1000, 2000 or whatever number anyone believes can be planted on one acre , ( yes, I do know that what I have specified is in the subject is about 1.46 acres , not hectares, I choose to say 1 acre now in order so that everyone has a common base to work off of) , can you please help me , and anyone that might eventually read this at some point in the future by indicating what spacing will achieve the numbers you are stating.
1000 an acre..

Is only possible at 1.5 meters spacing.

You plant 34 x 34 spots with 1.5m spacing between them on an acre.

I however think the spacing will be too dense
The leaves will not have free space to get sunlight.. .

I am no doctor neither am I a professor. The experiment has been carried out under normal circumstances both crop would survive but the yield will be extremely low, if you decide to use fertilizer, well you may get a bit higher from lose.

Its like trying to prove you can use a table spoon to fill a pail of water, physical it's possible but logically it's impossible. Now the question is do you want to plant like a sane individual or the opposite?
Lol... You should calm down and consider the fact
that spacing, and splitting are all options on same land

the cassava taps nutrients from the root zone so also the plantain, the compeition will be humongous
the cassava and plantain have very close harvesting period, the competition from day 1 to harvesting will cause stress. They both dont go together at the same time on the same land space. Maize with cassava is better
ok cool... Will try it still
