Your account officer is never happy that you are going to do NTB with your money in the account. He will rather prefer that you put it in a fixed deposit or savings account which will be to his credit with the management as they are always given monthly targets so that the bank can have your money to trade with ( even in the NTB that they would prefer you not to go for-Selfishnss) and give you peanuts as interests.

Going for NTB moves the money away from their reach and what they'll get is the insignificant commissions from the transaction

Its in the news that banks made a whooping 265+billion naira from their investment in treasury bills in 2016...

That's how they chop with our money and pay silly 5% on fixed deposit
And 0.8% on savings accounts!
Then charge you 28% on any small loan they give you!

Am so glad I learnt about treasury bills!

Throughout yesterday, I was having invalid log in problems, no SMS, even when I know I imputed my correct details while applying.

I just decided to close the open windows I used in trying to log into N-Power site, everything concerning N-Power, I just closed all, and retried through their homepage, clicked the Menu button, chose Test, entered my phone number and BVN details and voila!!! Finally, I was taken to the test page.

What a relief! I still haven't gotten any SMS though, same as last year, no SMS but was able to take the test.

I was also able to choose my preferred tablet device from the available list (Afri-One 2-in-1 N-Power Tablet, Samsung Tablet, Zenox Tab, RNG, and one other one), no hp, no Tecno.

One question was wrong on the dashboard though

No answer for what a reflex angle is.

I was at the Rivers state secretariat, yesterday as regards the text msg., you*ve been selected into N-power waiting list of 2016..."

The N-power rivers' state coordinator informed me that those oF US Who got the msg have already been selected into the scheme as the msg reads, and our names will come alongside those of 2017 applying now...

It was confirmed by them that, the msg emanated from N-power but no other source.


In the summary of our conversation, we dont need to apply again, meanwhile, applying again does not change anything.

go for 364 days tenor to get at least 18% interest at the next auction after you apply.

200k should fetch you about 36k yearly at current rates and its a good start!

the 17% in MMF is also per annum thats 4.25% in 90days..

most mutual funds are paying 17% rates and they pay every 3months

so if you put 200k in an MMF it will pay at 17% rates after 91days not 13% as in primary market.
