nobilia:

This is not about a motor accident but about a weird accident that happened this morning.
The lift in my friend's apartment went dark yesterday night, the apartment management have closed office for the day, the bulbs could only be changed when they resume in the morning.
My friend's neighbour was about to go to work this morning, he was typing a message on his phone while approaching the lift. He pressed the lift button, the door opened and he went in, the guy landed almost 17 floors to his death within the lift compartment. What really caused this was that the management guys were changing the bulbs on the ground floor and decided to handle a minor maintenance which made the lift to malfunction, this caused the lift gate on my friend's floor to open without the lift bucket(carrier) being on the same floor and the victim went in taking the darkness to mean that the bulb have not been repaired, the message he was typing didn't allow him pay much attention to notice that the carrier wasn't there.
The firemen came in about 10 minutes later and the body was retrieved.
If this kind of thing could happen here, people in naija should be careful about this kind of super weird accidents.

Wonders shall never end. kiss kiss kiss

Does this mean that the guy is dead , just like that cry cry

Events / Re: How Necessary Are Big Weddings? by RealMan3(m): 6:42pm On Feb 26, 2008
I overheard some one complaining that he is not scared of how much he will spend in his wedding.Even if it is to take him two million naira. He is ready  for that.

The only problem , according to him, is  that he does not have friends that can come for the wedding. He said that he is so scared of  being short of guests on that day because he does not know anybody and a kind of introvert.

@ midas

I really like the way you presented your business except that a try will convince me but all the same , I like your presentation.

Can you tell me how to know my ride has arrived at the port? who will be giving me the up to date info of the shipping till it reaches lagos?

Will your patner in lagos( pretended I did not remember him in the above questions) play a big role in the clearing of the vehicle?
Career / Re: What Professional Exams Do I Need For Oil Jobs? by RealMan3(m): 4:01pm On Feb 12, 2008
Alphazee:

It depends on the type of OIL.
There are Palm Oil and Palm Kernel Oil companies (such as Presco and Okomu Oil).
There are also Ground Nut and Vegetable Oil Companies (Remember Sunola).
(If you're a man of God smiley).

But if you're the Worldly type, ofcourse there are the Greasy Oil companies where them Funsho, Ayoola, Phil, etc were recentlty alledged to have greased their palms (through Wilbros), tongue.

Please be specific.

The poster is talking about vaseline oil company smiley smiley cheesy

On a more serious note,

@ Poster

You can take a ''level 3'' HSE course to be a safety officer in a servicing or producing company alongside your university degree
