Some of the bloggers here praising Lagos state governor for displacing Lagosians from the SLUM they call home are same people that were cursing Fashola when he introduced Toll Gate in Lekki area. How many of you wannabe Lagosian would be able to afford rent in Lekki? Same empty vessels that were protesting during the Fuel Subsidy crisis are hear asking people that can actually afford to pay taxes in Lagos to go back to their village. |
pappilo: slowpoke. Speak with confidence? Since when was that a requirement to obtain a visa? He paid his fees and had been accepted by a school. How 'unconfident' could he have in 60 seconds?Stop telling lies. I doubt your so called brother was interviewed. This is NL anyone can come here to tell tales just for them to belong or sound relevant. Same Nigerians that sees arabs in Lagos and call them "onyinbo". |
denitro: Don't try to impress them, they can sense desperation.Funny but true......lol |
browncool: Its quite sad and painful going through such horrible experience however, if I were the consular, I would deny you again and again. First of all, after your first denial, you were suppose to apply at least after 6months secondly, I am not sure how long you planned to stay in NY, however, if you make 6m anually and planning to spend 1m for just a vacation, it obviously a red flag. The US Embassy usually do not check for your documents nor bank statement, all they want to see is your ability to speak and convince them and show you are confidence in your speech. You could have lied a little by inflating your annual income. Thirdly, if the ticket for the 3 of you is close to 550-700k Naira and your hotel cost 100 dollars per night and your itinerary says you are visiting for 20days that will be 2k USD which is relatively 1m budget you have mentioned. Now tell me where is your feeding allowance, transportation and miscellaneousThe OP is whipping sentiment and not everyone will buy his claim. |
pappilo: Poster there is no logic to getting a US visa. My brother was refused a student visa with over N50 million in his sponsors account and full fees for Tuition and board already paid. He was in the cubicle for less than 1 minute and The clownsular didnt even look at a single document except his passport and the visa form from the school. He was asked for his name and what he was going to do in the US and after he answered, he was told 'you are not qualified'Where you there with your brother when he was been interviewed? Please stop the false claim because Nigerians tend to play the victim when its obvious that they are lying. Your brother maybe nervous during his interview but too shy to tell you that he was denied for his inability to speak with confidence and answer questions in the appropriate way |
@OP you were not denied US visa because of the money you have in your account but how your reactions to the questions asked on your finance. Those people you are dealing with are well trained psychologist, they can separate honesty from lies from a distance. Nigerians are known to be very arrogant and maybe you acted that way on your first trial who knows. Re apply again and try to be honest when next you are filing your form. |
naptu2: I was only asking if you are sure that it was Fashola or the Lagos State Government that invited Clinton to the event. Remember, this project is not just a Lagos State project. All good bruv. I do get your point |
naptu2: Was it Fashola that invited Clinton? Remember, Clinton is good friends with Gilbert Chagoury.Clinton has been good friends for the rich. Politicians dont have permanent friends or enemies. Chagoury went hiding when Bush was the president, his shady business dealings in LA was been reviewed. When Jakande built houses in Lagos was there any foreign delegate that attended the commissioning? What I am saying is, stop inviting people to an event that they won't contribute to. I am a democrat and voted for Bill Clinton but since he came out of office he has been seen hanging out with all kinds of shady characters all over the globe. Not too long a billionaire from Kazakhstan donated millions in his foundation which was criticized here in the US |
shymexx: What "positives" is Bill Clinton bringing other than get paid to talk his usual neo-liberal gibberish and praise those who paid himYou seems to be one of the few sensible people out here that has not been consumed by inferiority complex. Last week Kim K came to collect her share of the national cake, I wonder who is coming next? Most of the people defending this publicity are poor peeps, clinton will never invest his money in that project and he may forget all about it as soon as he gets inside the plane headed back to US. Lagos state in the order hand is in serious debt which many people dont know about. I would really like to see a guy like Fashola as president but inviting foreigners for events of such does not make sense to me. Nigerian rich folks are the one's paying for those properties and not people like clinton or Bush, why not make it their event? Will there be affordable housing for the poor also? |
I hope the guy that was criticizing Nigerians in Diaspora last week was one of the first respondent at the scene and he was not the guy taking pics with his Camera phone? Those of you falling for the relocation sham should ignore those asking you to come home and build an already failed state. They have developed thick skins in abject poverty, they just want you to join them in their suffering and smiling way of life. As for me and my house hold we will remain in a comfort environment were the government has respect for lives and properties. I hope the Hospital that the injured will be attended to don't ask for deposit in a life threatening situation. Your prayers to God are in his junk mail, try Shango or Amadioha |
Nigerians that came to the states to give birth thinks they can manipulate the law, right? You may escaoe it now but your children will bear the burden provided they obtained a birth certificate and a social security before jetting back to Nigeria. Unknowingly to the parents, the bills are pilling up, such kids maybe denied financial aids, credit card or any form of assistance untill their debt has been paid off in full. This law has long been passed, you may laugh now but your kids will cry later. |
jadakiss213: in cases like this u dont need to have 'real' figures.Just do an accurate Census then in subsequent yeArs,make do with the death and birth rates to get an estimated figure thats close to d 'real' figures u talked about.unfortunately, the 2006 census like d ones b4 it was so flawed. If actually there was a census in Nigeria, the northern population we have heard so much about will be laughable. Politics will never allow such to be. |
kandiikane: Come on, if you can take to the streets to burn someone for stealing a potato then I'm sure you can kill hang someone stealing millions. I am sure there are good people in Nigeria who won't easily give in to the greed and corruption to do the things needed to get country moving forward.I would not mind being in your fantasy dreams. Easier said than done, who will bell the cat? Is it BH that are cying for amnesty (cash ) or the money hungry 419 youths that went to the occupy Naija rally to chase girls and exhange numbers? The generation that will change things in that country are yet unborn. It must be long you went to Nigeria right? |
shut up. she's actually from Cape Verde not Angola. Angolans are darker skinned. clearly the Angolan men don't think much of their own women either! and last year, ghana sent an oyinbo woman to represent their country! hahaha African low self esteem indeed.
The bolded made him run away from a bad mouth nigerian woman like you. The diary of a mad black woman....smh. A typical Abuja night crawler, blackberry babe, low class |
kandiikane: ^ the only way is a coup by people who have Africa's best interest at heart and to either kill the leaders or send them into exile. Only way forward from the looks of things. We are too corrupt and tribal to execute our leaders. Imagine Nigeria's super eagles players been called biafran national team by some few miscreants. We see tribe before merit. |
Nigerians we should learn to accept criticism, the gap between the rich and the poor is getting wider daily. Our leaders have failed us instead of us to revolt against them we are here criticizing citizens of other African countries who are reminding us of our weakness. Rwanda fought a civil war not too long yet their ranking in terms of economic growth and progess as for this day is better that Nigeria's. |
Valentine Roses: Ok so diz is wot meks Nigeria da giANTS of Africa.Giants are known to have gigantic abnormal growth yet lacks intellectual reasoning. I think she falls in that category. A nation with abundant wealth yet she cant boast of constant power supply, national carrier(plane), adequate educational system, world class hospital, good roads, Police brutality, life expectancy is low, corrupt justice system and inept politicians and their docile citizens |
Nigerias population has become liability over the years. The record released above is a hoax. Does Nigeria have a national data base on death amd birth rate? How can a southerner tell who is from Chad or Kano?Until we know who are truly the inhabitants of that country then the problem of insecurity will solve. People living in Oshodi, Bariga and Ketu are 20 million |
shymexx: Bro, ignore these numbnuts trying to throw cheap shots at someone with a better command of the language than them... I guess it has more to do with low self-esteem than anything else..Its all good bruv. There is no Trophy on this, brush it off your shoulder. |
Afam4eva: What languqge is this? Why are you always witch hunting dude? Its a normal slang by black Brit and Americans....White folks calls it ebonics, same as how you speak broken English. |
eaglechild: Oh please get real. You could have simply respond to my thread in your language to prove your loyalty. ....Thats that isht I dont like...sssiigghh |
shymexx: Olowokandi was born in naija but went to the NBA from London and he played for the UK... Aminu was born in America but his dad is a Naija prince from Oyo state or something - he said that when he was drafted...I know of Oluwakandi but abdul Kareem changed his name to Muslim. He has an all American english names before that. Historically they are all Africans. |
shymexx: Lmao bro... We Yorubas will take pride in dominating NBA..I did a check on google, few of the names listed above are non Nigerians. |
Valentine Roses: Common sense shld tell u dat u feel much more comfortable around people who speaks ur own language. Why shld a beautiful lady lyk dat hang out with a DOG HEAD lyk uDont be jealous, I use my dog head and dog tongue to make girls get orga.sm without using my roddie pipper.....lol |
shymexx: Lmao bro... We Yorubas will take pride in dominating NBA..Kareem Abdul Jabar is he Nigerian? Jeff Green? Did you notice that most Nigerian stars in US sports came from London? What happened to coming from Nigeria direct? I think cos the food out there is too heavy and it makes them shapeless and heavy....jk |
eaglechild: Uhmmm...How many igbos born and raised in Lagos or Kaduna could speak igbo? Dont be too ethnocentric. |
kandiikane: Yeah but you should try to make sense atleast. Pre reque?Teacher dont teach me none sense. I wish as a Nigerian your love for a foreign language would make you more creative in the tech world. Those that could comprehend understood what I meant. Slow readers may have a hard time though. |
shymexx: I love Angolan women and they have got batty for days!!My only beef with them is the Portuguese thingy. Even in states they love to hangout around those that speaks same language as them. Their women can dance though, they will get your di.ck stranded all night as they play with it in the club with their azz |
shymexx: I concur...Yorubas are doing very well in Hollywood also. I am yet to see my Fulani bros up north making a change in Yankee. I heard dude in Oklahoma thunder is fulani but I have not confirmed it. |
shymexx: Smfh at Nigerians!!Hahaha. ...I only come to this site to laugh bra....People dont think before they utter rubbish. |
eaglechild: I dont get your drift.Read your post again sir/ma'm and notice how you contradicted yourself. It was what prompt my reaction. |
Of course the Umenyioras are Naija..pure Igbos. We're family friends..their main 9ja family house's in lagos.we're same core locality in my hometown
One of their family members had a wedding in Boston years ago and I was a guest. Its a huge family and very humble peeps |
