Like I said last week, it is DPR and Nigeria loss if they leave all their merit applicants and go after SH candidates. These merit candidates will eventually get good jobs - some multinationals that will take them out this country (that we all want to leave anyways), in fact jobs better than DPR in most cases. Might just take some time, but eventually, most will get what they deserve.

It is DPR that will be left with unmotivated and untouchable (godfather factor) SH staffs at the end of the day. And then later they wil complain that our civil service is shambles!

Wake up this morning thinking and planning of moving out of this country for my plan B. The PhD studies. Although I am still hopeful of getting a call from DPR as I spotted my no. on the 'merit list' published here.

As reported, close to 100,000 people applied for the job. 30,000 or so wrote the exams, and 5,000 was called for interview. And you expect them to just move on like that after they saw their name on a 'leaked' merit list?

No, that's not his point I am sure. His point is that even during the advert, it was clearly stated that 2:2 above are only qualified to apply. So how can someone who isn't qualified be getting job over thousands of qualified ones?
Yes, there is destiny surely but allow people speak up when they see mediocrity.

The problem is that its no longer the south or north being favoured the most, even fedral charachter is no longer followed. The guy from my state, a northwestern state is among the best performing candidates in this recruitment but was dropped for someone who has strong political backing, if indeed federal charachter was followed he would have been picked. You see, everything in this country is compromised, a recruitment that the minimun qualification is 2-2 but third class and pass candidates will be considered ahead of a first class graduate, how will the country ever prosper? Only few organizations advertise their recruitment nowadays, and i bet you in the next few years recruitment will be solely on who you know. Just last month graduates were busy sending applications through NASRDA gateway while a friend of mine is chilling with his APL to resume october.dont waste your time praying for Nigeria, it will never change. And if you like protest from now till 2025, the highest DPR will issue a public statement. [center][/center]

I am from a Northern State (NC) and I saw my number on the purported merit list, have been called? No.

And like she rightly said she knows 4 people from states (in the south oo) that all got their APL through backdoor.

I didnt. but the four people I know personally have gotten apls. delta, Edo Oyo and Lagos. none was merit. gotten theirs since early June except one who hot theirs last week or so! marvel is right in some of the things he said but I will advise that if you no anybody use that person. don't look at anybody as being small. just ask around. your local government chairman or councillor can be a close friend to someone big. from the first and second week when this thing came out. it was still OK. but right now it's a free for all. anything I mean anything can happen. like I earlier said , fg recruitment is like federal university recruitment. there is always space for merit but stakeholders have more priority you will see with your own eyes how some people will still collect apl September to October. its not over. if you have not being called pray or ask friends and family if they no anybody in government. all this addition and substraction of list is not for benefit of any masses. right now is survival of the fittest.

There is a good reason why I asked you that question, and I like how you responded.

If I truly I am on the merit list and DPR refuses to give me APL. Well, it's their loss and also Nigeria's loss.

Good evening hopefuls,

- 700 slots approved for this recruitment . The remainder was allocated to the states. That led to the creation of the new list.

- The new list is ready. I advised everyone last week or two to ensure you all did everything possible to make the list but some persons doubted and misunderstood me.

- Union/ DPR management meeting was held on Thursday last week. I couldn’t follow up last week but I promise to provide details on that tomorrow or next.

- They will contact more successful applicants beyond first week of August.

- No name was substituted on the main list (400).Some EH applicants were dropped while more GT applicants were added on the existing list based on Union/DPR management agreement.

- Expect a supplementary list soon.

- To those that have received APL, make sure your documents are ready and ensure you are physically and mentally fit for this job. There will be no pity or sentiments.

Everyone should remain calm. The recruitment isn’t over.
