Of course the distinctions are made due to conditioning and experiences. you meet a lot of people with a certain trait and if they tend to be from the same place you associate those traits with the place.

if I saw this lady on the street for example, I would assume she was African although I may not know exactly what part she is from but the chances are very high that I am correct. she has african traits.

we aren't doing DNA gene testing when we meet people on the street. we look at their physical features or the way they speak, dress, body language etc to tell where they're from.

well, I figured I have african features because a lot of whites, african americans, native americans, hispanics, other africans see me and accurately assume that I am african. I certainly must have the features that cause them to make that correct assumption.
