mags5222: Presently I reside on the westcoast. Don't let the media fool you alot of blacks don't live in white neighborhoods and wouldn't want to. But yes we each have our own life experiences.again, my post is based on my real life experience. not media. a lot of poor and working class blacks live in segregated neighborhoods while most of the middle and upper class blacks I know live in integrated, mostly white suburbs. this is my experience and yours may be different from what you have said. |
sexfiend: I think you are just a troll . black americans are from west and central africa. all recent african immigrants know their roots . there are very fewer mixed american blacks like beyonce .those men could be african american. |
mags5222: This is also untrue too. ITs not that they have no impact, its just that the media never shows these people. There are some middle class blacks that have maintained their own communities. There are a few that like you said have went to the white side. But the bulk of blacks do live in black communities.I am talking about real life examples of what I see in the states and communities I have lived in. Maybe in the south there might be more of what you are talking about. WHat part of the USA do you live in? It may also have to do with the fact that there are simply way more poor blacks than middle class blacks so the cultural refinement will be affected by that statistic. |
of course they do. Any segregated or isolated group will develop a unique culture. The unfortunate thing is that it is often the poor, uneducated underclass african americans that are segregated so the culture tend to reflect this fact. aka ghetto culture. The middle class, educated and upwardly mobile african americans prefer to integrate and live with white americans and hence they 'disappear' into the white crowd for lack of a better word and their impact isn't felt on the african american culture as it should. |
justdream: I ave my reservations abt my present woman cum fiance buh mehn i gotta say she is tha best pick among all so far, hmmm. ok I guess that's life. congrats on your upcoming nuptials |
Seun: Before marriage, open your eyes and ears & get the best person that will have you. After marriage, close your eyes and ears and focus on her.this is a good way to look at it. Ukandi1, I hope you are hearing. Pray for the spirit of contentment. It's the key to living a long and happy life. God bless you and your wife. ukandi1: i want to live long and happy so, ur guess is as gud as mine... |
ukandi1: I would rather say, i made a happy choice, but to say best choice,...hmmmmmmmm.na wa. I hope you don't tell this to your wife o |
https://www.nairaland.com/1852104/antiserum-cure-ebola not sure why it took so long for them to make this an official treatment |
https://www.nairaland.com/1889678/ebola-survivors-blood-used-treatment I'm surprised it took so long. |
She looks good |
Olaone1: When options are limited.exactly. So when our partner doesn't live up to the standard, we make ourselves feel better by saying that they have "potential." It's good to be hopeful, isn't it? |
first Chris Okotie and now Chris Oyakhilome. |
Most of us normal people have to settle for a guy with "potential" or woman with "inner beauty" ![]() |
^deep down inside you know that you are wrong and feminism is the main solution to this problem. Women's self worth should not be measured by their physical appearance. |
alberto2k: i don't even understand thisIt's a law to prevent r.ape |
fayahsoul: Understand that this is a very weighty issue that ought to be addressed decisively. And yes i want to provoke the thoughts of my people. This will compelled us to really question the various abnormal normalities with our nation.Mr. decisively, you are not the decision maker. Women have to be empowered to make the decision for themselves. If you really want more women to ditch weaves and artificial beauty products, encourage them to be feminists. |
Uteghe: I miss Abacha. Why can't the Nigerian military take a cue. The whole democracy thing is getting really crazy. There are many options for you if you crave military rule. You can move to Lesotho, move to Syria or Afghanistan. You can even go and register to join Taliban or Boko Haram. ![]() |
Millitary coup in 2014? May God help us. |
A philanderer will cheat regardless of whether their spouse is beautiful or ugly; rich or poor. No relationship is perfect and therefore an excuse will always come up as a justification or "reason" for them to cheat. It's just part of a personal failing and irresponsible nature. |
fayahsoul, I don't really understand how you really believe that any woman will listen to your condescending, abusive, paternalistic comments and take you seriously. Maybe you are just being intentionally provocative. |
what a wonderful topic. I wish all the pictures came with a recipe. |
we don't yet have the technological infrastructure so there is nothing wrong in working with mastercard. This is very good news in my eyes. The only problem is if after 20yrs we are still completely dependent and haven't learned to build our own systems. |
yea that's true. the answer will be different depending on whether you are talking about size of land mass vs population. |
^ This is where I got the information. They used the entire population of lagos state I believe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_metropolitan_areas_in_Africa#cite_note-4 |
gbanikiti: Silly? Some peeps still argue that ibadan is Number 1. Ask people around you and hear some funny answers.really? do you realize that you are the only one arguing by yourself on this thread? looks like you're just trolling. |

Anyone to explain this to me plz??!
