hmm this is for really rich people. If God blesses me with kids and wealth then yea i'll open trust funds hahaha http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=trust+fund+baby |
honeric01:Boy. no need to get your blood boiling. your post clearly expressed surprise. Talks about "oyinbo white gown," "native wear" shows you are surprised at the combination. Maybe you don't know Gbolahan as well as you think you do. The guy you are crediting for his dressing that seemed a shock to you, I will bet a few bucks that the dude most likely did not even have much of a say in choosing his attire and I don't know him at all. ![]() honeric01: |
She could maybe start kissing frogs until she meets the right person... doesn't sound glamorous but it's a step. not every one is lucky enough to meet "the one" early in life and live a cinderella story. |
Earlier on in life, in my teenage years, I had dreams and hopes of what my life would look like by the time I turn 25. Well, man proposes, God disposes.. my life doesn't look at all like what I had dreamed. I am partially disappointed and feel a lot less idealistic as if I lost that sense of "yeah I can do whatever I set my mind to do." How many of you feel this way? Have you accomplished what you set out to accomplish, are you on the right path to your dreams or have your goals totally changed? How did you handle or deal with it? Please share your stories because they can be encouraging. What makes the situation worse is that now you have facebook, instagram etc and you can see how your friends seem to have perfect lives and the feeling of inadequacy begins to take hold because you start comparing yourself... Anybody in the same boat as me? Are you where you thought you would be? Do you still have future goals or you gave up on creating them and are now just going with the flow ![]() |
honeric01:Wrong. Here is Super Eagle star Gbolahan and Lolade's Traditional engagement pic https://bellanaija.cdn.ng/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Gbolahon-Salami-Ololade-Wedding-BellaNaija-02-600x814.jpg and here is their Nikkah https://bellanaija.cdn.ng/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Gbolahon-Salami-Ololade-Wedding-BellaNaija-05-600x600.jpg |
honeric01:but men wearing native style for nikkah is very common so that's why I clarified that it's a yoruba muslim wedding because u seemed shocked that he was wearing a native. The 'native' worn to nikkah is usually different from the one they wear to their traditional engagement. At least for yoruba muslims. In fact, what we yorubas consider to be our language, culture, attire is heavily influenced by islam long before the arrival of the europeans. what tribe/religion are you? look at an example from a couple: here is their traditional engagement: https://bellanaija.cdn.ng/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Biola_Hussein_Nigerian_Wedding_Muslim_Nikkah_BellaNaija_142-600x400.jpg here is their nikkah/muslim wedding: https://bellanaija.cdn.ng/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Biola_Hussein_Nigerian_Muslim_BellaNaija_Wedding_Nikkah_111-400x600.jpg here is their reception party: https://bellanaija.cdn.ng/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Biola_Hussein_Nigerian_Wedding_Muslim_Nikkah_BellaNaija_156-600x400.jpg what do you mean by "real owners of islam"? and what do they wear? you are arguing bizarrely.instead of you to admit that you probably thought it was a church wedding ![]() |
Lovely couple honeric01:It's a muslim wedding. Google "nikkah," it's very common. https://www.8020fashionsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Hudayya-Sadiq-Nigerian-Muslim-Abuja-Northern-Wedding-BellaNaija-wushe-wusheDSC_0210-600x398-255x177.jpg https://www.namywedding.com/system/assets/pictures/814/content_Hadiza-Rasheed-Atiku-Jada-Wedding-Dinner-Abuja-January-2012-BellaNaija-Namywedding.jpg?1329214736 https://cdn.bellanaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Biola_Hussein_Nigerian_Wedding_Muslim_Nikkah_BellaNaija_63-600x400.jpg |
frankflix:It's just that the name is funny. If the phone works well, people won't mind, just like 'apple.' |
MilesMolesey:lol |
^ yea that's what I mean. attractive people just tend to be more prone to philandering in general. but the two can be separate. |
LOL....when he is not a child. ayobarmy:what you mean is probably that he needs a sponsor or mentor. Most people need mentors and sponsors. Even I do. If your friend is in a desperate need then maybe he can benefit from joining a church group or organization that will provide help to him. He can also try to find a printing company in his area and apply to be a apprentice etc. |
^ok then maybe I misunderstood your post then. Seems like we are saying the same things. cool as in suave informal fashionably attractive or impressive. "I always wore sunglasses to look cool" synonyms: fashionable, stylish, chic, up-to-the-minute, sophisticated; More https://fm.cnbc.com/applications/cnbc.com/resources/img/editorial/2012/10/05/49168054-James-Bond-Collectibles-cover.600x400.jpg?v=1349460991 |
whatever the origin, it's nice for students to have a few days like this. fun. |
not all women have a "taste for living on the edge" so when guys complain of being shorted because they are "nice" i see it as an excuse or cover-up for some other deficiency of theirs. I mean, I don't think that there is a shortage of nice girls for the number of nice guys that exist on the planet lol ihedinobi2:sexiness, coolness, stylish etc look on urban dictionary. |
ok. most women who like james bond don't see it that way. they just see his hotness and swag. |
ihedinobi2:oh come on... here is your ridiculous quote: ihedinobi2:if you feel that because you are willing to be nice to a hot or fine girl means that you are entitled to her, you are fooling yourself. would you date a girl simply because she was nice to you? even if you weren't attracted to her? friendzone is the male equivalent of side-chick. it goes both ways.you will run into all sort of problems when you are chasing after the wrong person and then saying that they are "bad" when in fact, they are simply "wrong" for you. |
people are a product of their environment and if you live a tough, harsh life, you are not going to go around flashing innocent "life is beautiful" smiles at everyone you come across. |
^ a woman who knows her worth as the most beautiful woman in town will typically not settle for a broke guy. I'm talking about a grown woman not a 14yr old girl. |
bukatyne:I 100% agree with this. I mean, if you are decent, then you should find a partner who is decent as well and on your level. the problem arises when we are looking for something elusive or something beyond our reach then of course it's going to be hard to do so and still maintain decency without resorting to corruptible games. men and women are guilty of this. ihedinobi2:secondary school is for kids ages 10-16. It doesn't count. |
Fashola well done! |
say what? ![]() |
the statistic doesn't sound accurate. Most of the time, you don't need DNA test to know that the child is yours. The company just wants to create sensationalism so as to attract more customers. MARKone:LOL |
jasper7:Rubbish talent. |
I am not a theologian but Matthew is said to be joseph's lineage and Luke lists mary's lineage. Not completely sure though. Either Jesus is within it. timmy2409:. Jesus is the descendant of David in the flesh but the son of God according to the spirit. Verse 3 and 4 go together and are part of the same sentence. When Paul talks about "the flesh" it is referring to the human point of view or something that contradicts the holy spirit or something in contrast to the holy spirit so you shouldn't assume that Paul made a mistake there. Romans 1:3-4 "Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead" |
timmy2409:yeah, you must be blind. what bible translation do you use? I have the kjv and the nrsv and they both have "supposed" in them when they list the genealogy in Luke 3:23 you can open the bible and read the verse to see for yourself (or google it). You haven't disputed Matthew 1 either. It states that "joseph is the husband of mary who is the mother of Jesus". and this is the explanation of how Jesus falls into the lineage of David. Nowhere did it say in the genealogy that jesus is the biological or DNA son of Joseph. timmy2409:when talking about lineage, the bible is referring to the social family lineage not DNA. clearly Jesus wasn't born of joseph biologically. this is very clear in the bible. I really don't understand what exactly your argument is. |
mine are not noticeable.. I use my fingers to pluck them |
^ Did you read the verses? if so, you will identify how the bible wrote the geneology differently when it came to the point of Joseph. in matthew, it didn't say joseph begat Jesus. it says "jospeph was the husband of mary who begat jesus" in luke, it says Jesus was the "supposed" son of joseph. Both Matthew and Luke explicitly attribute their different genealogies to Josephunless you don't know what the definition of "explicit" is. because the bible put it implicitly. |
timmy2409:Not true. Both Matthew and Mark very clearly pointed out the fact that Joseph was not the biological father. Read the bible for evidence. Matthew 1.1-17 "Abraham was the father of Isaac, and Isaac the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers, and Judah the father of Perez....and Matthan the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called the Messiah. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations." Luke 3:23-38 "And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph" Romans 1:3-4 "Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead" Prophesies about Jesus' Birth: Jesus will come from the line of Abraham. Prophecy: Genesis 12:3. Fulfilled: Matthew 1:1. Jesus’ mother will be a virgin. Prophecy: Isaiah 7:14. Fulfilled: Matthew 1:18–23. Jesus will be a descendent of Isaac and Jacob. Prophecy: Genesis 17:19 and Numbers 24:17. Fulfilled: Matthew 1:2. Jesus will be from the lineage of King David. Prophecy: Jeremiah 23:5. Fulfilled: Matthew 1:6. He will be great, hand will be called the Son of the Highest; and ithe Lord God will give Him the jthrone of His father David. Luke 1:32 |
TheLight001:trousers are unisex. If you think about it, many of those laws in deuteronomy are not very christian ex stoning people to death, polygamy etc. They are old jewish laws (similar to modern sharia laws) not christian laws. My opinion therefore is that what you wear does not matter before the lord except what is in your heart. |
Wallie:great point |

you are arguing bizarrely.
. A woman can be decent and still look sweet. Bitter or not, a lot of ladies do not appreciate the 'meekness' of decent guys and mistake it for 'weakness'
