Good one OreMI22,you read my mind.when ever i pass through that axis I had watched with utter dismay how a prime property of that nature should remain undeveloped. That area can never be more swampy than most parts if Lagos but their government being proactive will always open up the locations for development and Igbos as usual will buy up lands to sand fills them.I think the govt. must wake up to its responsibility and make sure this road is built in no distant time. |

Crime › Ritualist And Cannibalized Shrine Discovered In Ogun by redcap(op): 9:33am On Jun 18, 2015 |
By Daud Olatunji
ABEOKUTA—Men of Ogun State police command, Tuesday, uncovered a ritualist’s shrine at Eposo-Akaka, Isara, in Remo North Local Government of Ogun State with dismembered human parts suspected to be those of a female student of Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Morenikeji Owolabi.
The shrine which was made with corrugated iron sheets in a cubicle form, contained boiled and smoked human parts.
Five suspected criminals allegedly involved in the act.
The boiled human parts, including liver, intestines and spleen in earthenware containers, was on a table and a well-laid arm chair, covered with cloth.
There were also bottles of palm oil and other liquid forms littering the floor, while knives and plates were also found inside.
Near the shrine was a small kitchen where something that looked like the victim’s heart was being smoked on fire outside.
A few metres away from the shrine were also decomposing legs of the victim dug out of the shallow grave where they were buried but the head of the victim and other parts such as breasts, hands, and vagina, among others, were not found.
The state commissioner of police, Valentine Ntomchukwu, who led a team of newsmen to the shrine located inside the forest, disclosed that the 21-year-old victim who hailed from Ekiti State but lived at Isara, was lured to the shrine by a herbalist, Femi Awise, who is currently on the run.
Ntomchukwu said the ritualist-turned cannibal is a native of Isara who lived at Jabata area of the rustic town.
He said investigation had commenced to unravel the circumstances that led to Morekeji’s murder and the motive behind it.
Ntomchukwu said the shrine was discovered through discreet investigation by his men, saying five persons, including a motorcyclist that took the victim to the shrine, had been arrested in connection with the murder.
The suspects include the Okada rider who conveyed her to the shrine, Adeyemi Ademolu, a suspected apprentice to Awise, Omolaso Taiwo, Lateef Ali, Akinyemi Dare, and Sokoya Wasiu.
He said: “We were able to locate the shrine through a discreet investigation by our men. We were able to track the Okada rider that took her on his motorcycle to the shrine.
“I would not know what would make some people to brutally cut down a girl in this manner. Five suspects have been arrested and investigation has commenced, we will leave no stone unturned to get the other fleeing suspects.
The shrine where the heinous crime took place.
“I am appealing to parents that it is not only enough to send their children to school, but they must do follow-up on them.”
During the commissioner of police’s visit to the scene, residents of Isara, Eposo and Ode Remo thronged the shrine of horror to catch a glimpse.
The motorcyclist confessed that he took the lady to the area but denied ever being aware of the existence of the shrine.
He said while conveying the victim to the shrine, she spoke with the said Awise twice on her mobile telephone, giving her direction.
The local government chairman, Femi Soyemi, expressed shock at the scary discovery.
“I was shocked because I never expected this kind of horrible and brutal thing exists here,” Soyemi said.
The victim was declared missing since Saturday, June 7, and it was those who saw her on the day she was being conveyed to the shrine by the Okada rider that gave the information, which led to his arrest, and final unravelling of the shrine. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/06/ritualist-allegedly-kills-21-year-old-female-student-in-ogun/ |

huptin: Like i said earlier....the location of Lagos, particularly its proximity to industries is the key. However if your business is in the east and you clear your goods at Onne even if it is at twice the price i think it can still be profitable since you will be spending less on transport compared with goods cleared at Lagos ports then transported to the east. Cost of transporting a trailer load(1 container) to lagos is about 250k where as to clear the same consignment is twice in price in onne,we talking a difference of over a million naira.pls say what you know abeg. I'll be saving millions if I clear in Lagos and still sell my wares here. |

huptin: There are sea ports in warri, Onne and Calabar......oya start going back home. Why is it that clearing goods at onne port is twice the price of tincan/apapa port.Lagos port has too much incentives from FG these are the only reasons am still in Lagos tbh. |

Politics › Re: I’ll Make Naira Equal In Value To Dollar, Says Buhari by redcap: 9:45am On Mar 24, 2015 |
PapaBrowne: Are you serious Your speech just gave you off as someone who lacks complete understanding of Economics>
Illiteracy no be moi moi oh!! Ha! So if someone tells you he will equate the value to the dollar you would just swallow it hook line and sinker?? What were you doing when others were attending Economics class??
For the Naira to be equal to the dollar, you would need to see our dollar reserve rate go to something like a trillion dollars!! Even with 20 years of 20% economic growth rate, we would probably not be there!!
Now the bigger lesson for you is that a very strong Naira is not good for our country especially if you want to produce goods and export competitively.. Now let me explain that to you: A bag of Dangote cement sells for 1500 Naira. When the dollar was 160 Naira, that bag of cement was equal to $9. At the new rate of 215 Naira, that same bag of cement is now equal to $7. That means if Dangote wants to sell his cement in Albania, he has a better price point than he would have had 5 months ago.
Now imagine the Naira is exchanging at 5 Naira to a dollar. That same bag of cement would now be equal to $300. Where on planet earth would he be able to sell his bag of cement at that price??
Any country that desires to produce and export to the rest of the globe, prays for a weaker currency to allow its goods better pricing amongst competitors. If Buhari understands economics, he will never pray for a very strong Naira except of course he wants us to keep importing everything!! I wish i can give you one million like for this analysis, china is currently trying to devalue the currency to Continue to make their economy attractive for more export whereas US on the other hand is forcing them to over value to 1:1 so as to make Chinese RMB equal to the $. I wonder why some people are routing for this uneducated man to lead us. |

Ralphlauren: Over here, we've got what we call "professional work ethics". Ever heard of it?
Why would you use company's internet to watch "personal" videos are work? So wonder nigeria is in the mess it is. You are paid by your employer to work and given the support to do the job, yet you divert the time and resources for "personal entertainment"?
You are not really smart. Why will you compare free public internet at a train station to internet provided by an employer to his employee to do the job he's been paid for?
You should stop trying to run away from the truth. That guy can't afford to internet on his phone during weekends and has to rely on internet from his workplace only during the period that he's at work (probably 8am to 6pm monday to friday) and you think that's okay? In 2015? In a country like Nigeria that's one of the major oil producing nations?
Keep suffering and smiling. Okay? Cut the chase bro,I'm presently in Nigeria and I run my own stuff. As much as its a bit expensive I offer free internet to both my clients/customers and staffs and I don't care whatever they(staffs) use their free time for in as much as they're done with their job. You really have to jettison this poverty mentality as internet has become very cheap if you buy in bulk from broadband companies like SMILE etc. |

Ralphlauren: Oh please! Spare us the crap.
Even if anyone is so "poor" to afford a PAYG sim card in UK with free internet (even if it's 1gig), there's free wireless internet almost EVERYWHERE. On the bus, tram, train, coach, train station, high street shops, coffee shop, shopping mall. . . . Name it!
Gbawe is actually paying too much for his phone bill. I get the same service for £11 a month. Keep your opinion to yourself, according to you it's OK for people in London to use the free internet available in those places u mention but very wrong for the guy to use internet freely provide by his company. Most of you are hypocrites. |

Gbawe: That is what you are reduced to? Pathetic. See how you guys in bondage inadvertently sing and dance for your oppressors when you should dump them and seek others who can let you attain the dignity and choice others enjoy worldwide? My mobile phone contract (UK telecom provider) is around £18 per month (around N6,500.00) and gives me unlimited browsing, unlimited calls and unlimited text. I can do whatever I want on the go any day of the week from my own private line anywhere in the UK. How will you ever get such cost-effective empowerment that will allow you to be a more productive human being and greater human capital asset for your nation when the PDP you support ensures telecoms providers will never offer greater value because of high cost of operation?
Any company operating in Nigeria will automatically levy Nigerians heavily for the diesel they spend to power their operation and deduct 'rough terrain' tax from whatever they supply. This is why I laugh at you blind supporters of GEJ. You have no exposure beyond "suffering and smiling" Nigeria to know how bad you have it and how pathetically oppressed you are. They fleece you and you guys simply embrace more corruption and 'wayo' to try and afford what should be the very basics any dignified human being should enjoy. Yet you continue to sing and dance for your oppressors of 16 years who will keep you as you are even if they have 80 years in charge of Nigeria. Sad. Very sad and I feel sorry for you. Cut him some slack, there are a handful of people I know that can't afford internet access for £18 per month.you're talking as if there is zero poverty in the UK. |
