I don't understand this your relationship. Guys only complain when you use THEIR money foolishly. As long as it's your money there are no complaints.

Notice you said lover and not husband.
I used lover to cover boyfriend, live in partner, fiance or husband.

banks in Naija use machines to count money but because of the value of our money and denominations, it becomes a big job to count over N10m. They still hire contract staff that count those money with the machines, haba. It's different in America because we operate a plastic economy here. You cannot see people carrying around over $2k @ a time. the only exception may be departmental stores and casinos that count theirs through a security company and lodge them in banks. Even the casinos still hire people that count money for them in America using the same machines.
Politics › Re: Charles Soludo And Coins by RedHotChic(f): 6:41pm On Jul 16, 2008
Coins are used in every major economy in the west and it somehow slows down inflation. It is only in Nigeria where the people affected by 'big man syndrome' cannot carry coins else they be labelled poor. Rather than increase goods in multiples of 5 or 10. It can be done in 1's or 2's.

Pure water for example, may have jumped to 7 naira rather than 10. The effect of the 3 naira would be seen in a bulk purchase. These apparent loose change when added up in an entire year can save Nigerians thousands of naira.
Good point.

The impossibilities are endless!
Roflmao;

Here's a complaint from a guy about his girlfriend:

Hello, my name is mark and I earn about $50K as an engineer while my fiancee earns about $120k/PA in a DC law firm. But, she rarely spends a penny on me. I pay for all our dates, buy her expensive jewelry during vals, birthdays etc but on my birthday, she gave me a card for a present, I overlooked that and she bought another big card that sings jingle bell as Christmas present for me when i bought her a $600 nokia cell phone. Can her action be justified because she's the woman?

Scene 1:

Funmi: Hey sweetheart, I really think you should change this 1998 jetta for something better, may be a 2007 quatrro.

Hannibal: ohh no, I'm good. I prefer to put my money in stocks and bonds to wasting it on trivial things like car besides, this car still runs good .

Funmi: But your professional colleagues roll in something better and more classy besides it's important for business.

Hannibal: Don't worry; I believe in saving and investing my money.

OR

Scene II

Hannibal: Where do you want to go eat?

Funmi: Oyster parlour

Hannibal: haba, do you want me to sell my balls for a plate of food? what happened to mcdonalds or Popeyes?

Funmi: Forget it, can we go shopping now?

Hannibal: Can't we find another form of recreation besides shopping? Sweetheart, let's save and save and save in case of tomorrow.

Scene III(Cheap women)

Hannibal: sweetheart I think we need to go on vacation, maybe somewhere in thailand.

funmi: Nooo honey, I really want us to buy as many units as possible in the dangote flour shares besides, why can't we travel to ogbomosho or calabar for vacation instead of wasting our money travelling to thailand?

hannibal: If you say so, what about buying you a car.

Funmi: naaaa, am good. Our office bus comes often besides I can carpool with my coworkers. Buying another car now will entail higher insurance, more gas allowance, parking fees etc. Lets save honey.

What do you do when you find yourself romancing a cheap lover?

assuming the guy is doing well for himself but his watchword is save save save. He takes you to cheap restraunts, only buys stuff on sale or with coupons and extremely stingy/thrifty but generally he's a great guy. Will his economic conservatism disable his being a great guy and be a plausible reason to dump him? Remember that cheap guys don't ever change even when they come into $12B fortune. You may be dealing with his cheap mentality for the rest of your life. What will you do as a lady?

Igbo version of Things Fall Apart debuts
By Okey Maduforo, Correspondent, Awka

Fifty years after Prof Chinua Achebe's award-winning "Things Fall Apart" took the world of literature by the storm; the novel has been published in Igbo, the language of the author.

But writers in Anambra State, where Achebe comes from, may have abandoned the author following their silence over the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the novel as against the pageantry that heralded the celebration among writers from other states in Nigeria.

Besides, writers and authorities of literature in Anambra State have not made any attempt at holding any academic or social activity in celebration of the popular novel at 50.

All efforts to speak with some of the writers of Anambra extraction proved abortive, as none of them was willing discus the matter.

But, Dr. Alex Asigbo of the Theatre Art Department in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, who spoke toDaily Independent, said: "The case of Things Fall Apart is a disgrace to Igbo nation. This is because for 50 years that the world masterpiece has been in existence and unfortunately, it has been translated into at least 80 different languages but not in Igbo, the tribe of the author. So what we tried to do is that we reached out to certain people to see what can be done.

"Fortunately, one young man, Izuchukwu Nwankwo, who happens to be my former student, took up the challenge and I am proud to say that the translation of Things Fall Apart into Igbo language, which is entitled: "Ihe Aghasa," came out last week and we are now in the process of organising a public presentation of that work to Igbo nation.

"And we are making attempts at making sure that Prof Chinua Achebe would be in Anambra on the day of the presentation. In fact, Prof Earnest Emenyeonu, has taken some copies to present to him and we are just praying that he comes. From information at our disposal, Achebe is sick and even if he doesn't come he can send his daughter.

"This is part of the activities in the celebration of Things Fall Apart at 50 and it was timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Things Fall Apart. But we are not doing it under the Anambra Writers Association. This is more of an individual affair and has nothing to do with Anambra writers as a body."

Alleged N1bn loot: Ibadan elders, Afenifere, Ajimobi ask Alao-Akala to resign

By Akin Oyedele, Ibadan

The Oyo State governorship candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples Party, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has advised the Governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, to “toe the path of honour” by resigning from office.

Alao Akala
https://odili.net/news/source/2008/jul/15/punch/images/16.jpg

He gave the advice in a telephone interview with our correspondent on Monday in his reaction to the allegation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission that the governor allegedly mishandled N1bn in 2006.

The Secretary-General of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, gave a similar advice in a separate telephone interview with our correspondent on the same issue.

Also, the Chairman of the Ibadan Elders Forum, Ambassador Olu Saanu, said that the revelation was a confirmation that the country’s politicians were treasury looters.

The allegation by the EFCC was contained in its interim report on the financial activities of Alao-Akala when he acted as the governor in 2006 as exclusively reported by The Punch on Monday.

The report reads, “It is clear that Alao-Akala abused his office to enrich himself contrary to his oath of office. He has acted contrary to the provisions of the constitution and betrayed public trust.

“It is pertinent that he has a case to answer.”

The governor was alleged to have inflated contracts for supply of textbooks to the tune of about N1bn.

Ajimobi said that he had been vindicated over his position that the top echelon of the state government was made up of people with “bad records.”

The ANPP governorship candidate said that the latest revelation had pointed to the fact that the Peoples Democratic Party foisted rogues on the country.

He said that the mind-bogging disclosures from the different probe panels and anti-graft agencies on the financial recklessness of past and serving governors had necessitated the removal of the immunity clause from the constitution.

Meanwhile, Alao-Akala has described the allegation absolute false.

Alao-Akala, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Abraham Ojo, on Monday, however said he had instructed his lawyers to file necessary legal actions against the affected media outfit.

Gaynnibal challenged Gayldee to do the same but his halitosis is so discomforting that Gaynnibal is considering becoming monosexual.
Islam › Re: Moslems And Life After Death by RedHotChic(op): 11:00pm On Jul 15, 2008
You claimed that he redeemed you and I asked you:
Now if truly he came to die for your sins, why didnt he come immediately Adam and Eve committed the sin but had to wait thousand of years after prophets were sent to preach the oneness of God but you couldnt attempt that.
God knows best. His ways are different from the ways of man and wht you are doing just now is human reasoning besides, what makes you think that mankind will appreciate what Jesus did for them if He(Jesus) came immediately after Adam and Eve? Again, God did destroy the world with flood and spared only Noah and his household.

John 3:16 which says " For God so love the world that He sent His only begotten son to die for our sins"

Haba, shou Shocked. Must you bend the scripture to satisfy yourself? Mind you, I have been reading the bible before you could ever think of that.

The verse says: For God so love the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him would not perish but have everlasting life.
Pele, that was a merger with Rom 5: 8 which says:
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Isaiah 49:6
"It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth."

Nowhere that shows that he died for your sin.
Didn't you ask for anywhere in the old testament where Jesus was mentioned or prophesied?

Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”

Hope you know that this was not for Jesus and please was he called Emmanuel or Jesus?
That shows how much you know the bible. Jesus is also known as Emmanuel.
Matt 1:23: "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel"

Quote
Micah 5:2, “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times."

Sister, hope you know that you are dealing with someone that knows the bible. The verse was not for Jesus, no mention of his dying and redeeming you and he was never a ruler of Israel. Rememer he was asked if he was a king and he said that his kingdom is not of this world.
Your problem is that you lack the holy spirit to aid your understanding. You clearly mix up literal and figrative meanings together.

Do you read bible for understanding at all? Now look at my highlighted words and ponder on them. The highlighted words called for questioning. Did God smite him?
Ask the holy spirit to possess you andclear your understanding of the scriptures.

Quote
Jesus Christ is theONLY way to God
"I am the way the truth and the life; NO MAN cometh unto the Father(allah, jehovah, oluwa, chinneke etc) BUT BY ME."
-- Jesus Christ, John 14:6

Still no mention of his dying for you or redeeming you. He was the light, way and truth during his time and immediately he left, another person took over. All prophets have been light, guidance and truth for their community. They have been acting as channels to reaching God so his case was no exception sister. He also said that no man can come to Him except father draws him.
Jesus' case was an exception because he's God himself. Tell me, did mohammad also ascend into heaven like Jesus did without dying?

Question:

1) What is the major difference between the Shi'a and Sunni muslims?

2) What is the meaning of observing the five pillars in islam?

3) Are you guys trying to avoid the jihad question? I am yet to be replied on the exact meaning of jihad and why some moslems misinterpret it?
Nobody is avoiding your questions and most of your questions have been answered in different threads. I want us to finish what we are duiscussing first before going into the simple questions below.
Answer these questions joo and let me know when you want to rededicate your life to Christ.
