Pataki ask women for money? Huh Are you drunk?
Don't deny it abeg. Ask and you shall receive, Hannibal and Eldee your pals do it all the time. I wonder why they say that birds of the same plumage flock together and you are here denying the fact that it's only Hannibal, Eldee and sly that collect money from women to buy viagra.

What has banning generators got to do with improving power supply? Did he write that proposal at the beer parlour? Before it was a bill to congratulate Obama, now it's another one to ban generators. makes we wonder the kind of people that represent us and how they reason.

@RedHot
abeg help me as them o
wetin den dey use d money for?
Don't mind them. Pataki and Co wants women to be paying for their viagra. I think the problem is that men nowadays are no more ashamed of themselves? What happened to their ego? During our fathers era, it was an abomination for a man to take any financial favor from a woman and that's why men those days worked harder than these loose canons we have lying around our couches these days.

I will help my siblings o, advise them and push them in the right way
What is this right way sef? can you tell me how you'll advise your brother towards the right way if he had 5 girlfriends already in 2008 alone and they end up dumping him after weeks of spending his money on shopping trips to tinapa and abroad?

Also, how will you lead your sister thr right way if guys keep sleeping with her and running away after she falls in love with them? Tell her to close her legs permanently? That may also scare some guys away from her.

What if you discover later that your sister is the one doing the hit and run while thinking it's fun?

redhotchick, its best you allow them grow and discover things by them selves, so that way they don't blame you for any mistakes later. thats what i do sha, i even encourage every move they make by acting dumb.
You can do that with boys but allowing a girl that is that careless may ruin her life. She may get knocked up 5 times before she learns from her mistake.

Romance › Re: Perfect Pick Up Lines! by RedHotChic(f): 4:10pm On Jul 15, 2008
My dear poster,

Please do not mind those self-seeking, old, egocentric, retired and deluded chicks that posted that topic. All they think about is themselves. They are the me, myself and I kind of girls. They are for the older men, 50 and above.

Young men like you and me that are responsible and gainfully employed need a good woman to marry so we would have a good home. No useful person would really go worrying over pick up lines.

Please know that women are the most absurd, irrational, unpredictable, impossible, prepostrous beings ever created. There are no rules when they are involved.

If you meet a girl you like, just walk up to her and introduce yourself. Afterwards, ask her for her name. Always look at the expressions on a womans face when you talk to them. Please be very confident because women always pretend. I have had one telling me she was hooked and all that crap. Then suddenly I discovered she was falling in love. How did I know?

Please know the signs that women use for communication. They will never tell you what they want except it is material.
Straight from the heart from an angry brother who's yet to get laid even with his truck load of Euros.

Ladies:
You have a younger or elder brother that cannot hold a chic, he's a dork and most women tend to use and dump him. What do you do? Meddle in his business by scrutinizing the ladies that come into his life? coach him on how to deal with fellow women or allow him to wallow in self pity?

OR

He just can't get a woman for himself. Will you help him trap a sister or coach him on how to trap one?
Guys:

Your sister tend to be a national cake for guys(so you heard). She's always heart broken and has been knocked up once. What do you do next time you see her hanging around another "Hanniballike" man or any man at all? Will you become overbearing even when she made it clear to you to mind your business or will you help her sort out the ship from the wolves?

Islam › Re: Moslems And Life After Death by RedHotChic(op): 4:06am On Jul 15, 2008
@RedHotchic

I had to pause responding to David in order to attempt your post

Abraham was not a pagan and if you have been reading your bible very well, he was called the 'father of faith' and below are verses showing that he was a muslim. God did not sent two prophets with two different religion:

Quran 2 v 130: And who turns away from the religion of Abraham (Islamic monotheism) except him who befols himself. Truly, we chose him in this world and verily in the Hereafter, he will be among the righteous.

V 131: When His Lord said to him, ‘submit (i.e be a muslim). He said, ‘I have submitted myself (as a muslim) to the Lord of the mankind, jinn and all that exists.

V 132: And this (submission to Allah, Islam) was enjoined by Abraham upon his sons and by Jacob (saying), ‘o my sons! Allah has chosen for you the (true) religion, then die not except in the faith of Islam (as muslims)

V 135: And they say, ‘be jews or Christians, then you be guided’. Say (to them O Muhammed saw), ‘nay, (we follow) only the religion of Abraham (Islam) to worship none but Allah and he was not one of the Mushrikin.

V 136: Say (O Muslims), ‘we believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and to Al-Asbat (the offspring of the twelve sons of Jacob) and that which has been given to Moses and Jesus and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord, WE MAKE NO DISTINCTION BETWEEN ANY OF THEM and to Him we have submitted (IN ISLAM).
How can Abraham be a muslim when Islam only came into existence thousands of years after his death? Didn't Islam start at the 7th century? All I know is that Abraham/Abram practiced monotheism.

In what way? Hope you know that there was no christianity during the time of Abraham and Isaac?
And there was no Islam either. Islam came many years after christianity.

Now, where did he say that he redeemed you with his blood? Now if truly he came to die for your sins, why didnt he come immediately Adam and Eve committed the sin but had to wait thousand of years after prophets were sent to preach the oneness of God?
If you believe your Allah is all knowing and owns the world, why didn't he stop muslims from perishing in the Tsunami or Indonesian earthquake?

Care to furnish me the proof from your bible?
John 3:16 which says " For God so love the world that He sent His only begotten son to die for our sins"

Why can God be unjust when he had sent many prophets to preach repentance? How can countless men inherit a sin they have never committed? And if sin means the breaking of God’s law (according to dictionary), which of the children of Adam had ever known anything called forbidden tree?.

Is there in any old prophesies the idea of inherited sin or where it was mentioned that jesus will come and die for sin or where jesus mention in his ministry that in respect of the sin of Adam and Eve, had come to rid the earth of its nuisance and has eventually come to die for that sin.

Does God punish himself before he can forgive a sin done against him?
Isaiah 49:6
"It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth."

Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”

Isaiah 9:6, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Micah 5:2,
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times."

Isaiah 53:3-7, “He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.”

You want more because there are many of them?
I'm surprised you ask a question like this when you front here as a bible scholar.

Sister, hope you do read your book very well? A man went up to Jesus and ask hm what good things must he do to gain paradise. Jesus never told him to believe in any blood BUT TO KEEP THE Commandment and when the man said he does that, Jesus said that he is not far from the kingdom of Heaven. This shows that no blood atonement is needed for you to be saved.
You tend to take my mention of the blood of Jesus literally.

Jesus Christ is theONLY way to God
"I am the way the truth and the life; NO MAN cometh unto the Father(allah, jehovah, oluwa, chinneke etc) BUT BY ME."
-- Jesus Christ, John 14:6

Question:

1) What is the major difference between the Shi'a and Sunni muslims?

2) What is the meaning of observing the five pillars in islam?

3) Are you guys trying to avoid the jihad question? I am yet to be replied on the exact meaning of jihad and why some moslems misinterpret it?
Islam › Re: Moslems And Life After Death by RedHotChic(op): 8:20pm On Jul 14, 2008
So tell us what religion, these people above practiced. Did they have a religion under which the WORSHIPPED God?
Is it Judaism or a form of Islam, since Muslims are known by many other names?
I don't know their religion and cares less anyway. All I know is that they were neither moslems nor christians. Christianity started after the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven and i think Islam started 1200 years later or even more. Abraham lived before the BC era and all i know is He worshipped God according to the bible but because Jesus Christ the son of God was not on earth then, they made supplications and worship through animal sacrifices like the pagans do in traditional African religion. I'm more inclined to call his religion, paganism.

You need to understand that the story of abraham ,Isaac and their religion is preety much trivial to a christian. The core of christianity is the new covenant the children of God did with their father and we've been redeemed by the blood Jesus shed on the calvary(so, no animal scarifices again).
He paid for our sins with His blood, therefore, we are absolved from every guilt and sin as long as we accept him. Why still carry your sins around when Jesus can lay it off you?
Politics › Re: Kano Youths Inhale Gutter Odour To Get High. by RedHotChic(op): 7:49pm On Jul 14, 2008
ok then i get it,but like i keep saying dangote can do whatever he likes with his money, after all even the government are treating public money like their personal purse, the point here is that dangote is "MORALLY OBLIGATED"to give the children the basics in life namely education,if the gutter sniffers were in owerri then ill blame any indigene of owerri who s a billionaire in dollars, made his money through the people,
virtually everyone knows what the likes of adenuga, kanu e.t.c do for charity,if dangote was doing anything at all in kano,it will be abundantly manifest considering the children there are about 7-9million,no one is saying he should give them 1 million naira each or something but at least get them off the streets,in all the countries round the world where u hear of street kids sniffing gum, petrol e.t.c the recurrent decimal is always failure of the state and private individuals, what you don't know is that the likes of dangote use these children for religious riots and what not and prefer to keep them in that condition because having an education will free them from the shackles of ignorance, during the religious riot in the 1990s in kano a dangote trailer was seized by policemen on stop and search, when weapons and armour was found covered by wheat and other stuffs, and dangote himself was implicated but as usual in nigeria the whole thing was covered up,also remember he made the bulk of his money from staple commodities the general populace consume like sugar, salt, fertilizer, flour e.t.c apart from all that he actually has a charity foundation but most times he and other nigerian rich men who also do use it for money laundering and tax evasion
I guess you are from Nigeria. You don't have to be dangote to help out you know. YOu are also morally obligated if we follow your moral laws to provide something for your people. The libraries needs books, schools needs furniture and other infracstructures, many widows need small loan to start a business so they can be self sufficient and some of these loan are as little as N20k/$200. You can afford that, can't you or are you waiting for Dangote if you are from the north or Adenuga(west) or Tony Ezenna(east) to help out?
Politics › Re: Kano Youths Inhale Gutter Odour To Get High. by RedHotChic(op): 7:45pm On Jul 14, 2008
well ill blame him if you put it that way because he made his money from these same people i.e staples/commodity trading
it is his home state and where he started,he claims to be a devout muslim

his wealth has a whole lot to do with this because its not fair to use a charity foundation to evade tax and not at least do the basic for the children in your own home state,if foreigners who have no connection with africa and are not as wealthy as he is can dedicate their time and resources to coming to that same region, people like bono has been to the north and helped with polio, malaria e.tc as far back as like 80s/90s then its an indictment on him

theres no law that he must do it,that s why i said morally obligated not lawfully, its a perception of right and wrong,no one is forcing bill agtes to dedicate his billions to helping african kids, after all he is a white caucasian american who has no connection with africa, even the sales of his softwares in african wont make a dent on his fortune, same goes for the likes of angelina jolie, bono, mandela, will smith, kelly rowland, ophrah e.t.c even the royal family in britain
I still don't understand what moral obligation and an individual largess got to do with addiction? Unless you want him to build and finance a rehabilitation center. Yes, poverty may be a contributing factor to sniffing gutter but the sniffers will quickly move to something higher if you give them money. Maradona, Whitney Houston, George Michael etc sniffed something and they have money. There is no telling on whether they'll not resort to gutter to get high if there money is no more. In America, poor addicts smoke crack while rich ones do the real pure cocaine, so leave dangote out of this. There is no moral obligation to anything here.

This will get more people using the ATM and by so doing decongest the banks as well as encourage e-banking as opposed to carrying more cash and being vulnerable to robbery.
Won't that affect the labour market? All those people the banks hire to count money will surely lose their jobs.
Politics › Re: Kano Youths Inhale Gutter Odour To Get High. by RedHotChic(op): 9:06am On Jul 14, 2008
ok then,i totally agree with you, that means all these idiots doing charity work should just stop at least its not their responsibiity, that mandela must be a dumbo seeing as its not his responsibility, that silly ass bono, geldof, will smith, angelina jolie ,bill gates they must be high on some jamaica finest abi why are they bothering themselves with african charities, after all they are not even african sef,u know who pisses me off most?these young nigerian students from united states and uk going to nigeria and setting up charities, whats their own at least their parents are rich,i hope they wake up from their siliness one day sha
Nobody is calling them idiots. Bono, Angelina Jolie and my darling kanu Nwankwo are African heros and heroines but they did it out of the abundance of their heart but are in no way OBLIGATED by anybody or anything to do those things. Besides, You don't know what Dangote does for them in secret. Charity is not all about feeding the poor. kanu is doing his own for heart patients, is that not charity too? if the gutter sniffers were in owerri, will you condemn him for overlooking his people and wasting his money on trivial things? Same goes for adenuga, you just dont know what he did for his kinsmen and beyond that are kept secret. Even if dangote turns out his money on them, will he actually be helping them bu fuelling their addiction? Drug addiction cuts across all nations and races both rich and poor, if dangote makes every kano indigene rich today, those kids may stop sniffing gutter but they'll surely graduate to something else to get high.

***Funmi still flustered by what pataki did to her saw a very tall suave handsome man approach him, his steely arms were filled with huge varicose veins and as I was imagining me and him in the garden of Eden, i didn't even hear when he told me his name is OYB. Still mesmerized by what i saw and the minty fresh breath that accompanied the lavender fragrance, he continued tormenting me with his deep baritone voice by saying: do you have a name?

Funmi: ehhm ehm ehm em my name is Funmilayo(I stuttered for the 1st time in my life).

OYB: muttered something i didn't hear because i was fixated on those large steely arms. This is what I call paradise,

What happened with OYB in club 10 should rather stay in club 10 sha. tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue
