Very sad. While a lot of people condenm this group and their position, the truth is they speak the 'unwritten feeling and attitude of many Nigerians'I think every common Nigerian is not buying this overused tribalism excuse our leaders use to cover their sins. Even the common hausas are beginning to understand why poverty is the highest in their land when they've been ruling Nigeria for ages. These politicians form a Paris club, protect themselves from the public outcry by blindfolding people with tribal sentiments. Imagine, what has being ibo or yoruba or hausa got to do with the price of gasoline, rice, bad roads, ASUU strike, deplorable schools and hospitals etc?. If you are ibo and prefer a better road in your village instead one in Ibadan, you may die from a motor accident along the Ibadan road while the one in your village is lying waste. Where did colonel Adisa die? Will he ever believe that he'll die from the negligence of the govt they once ran, looted money and refused to fix the roads? Our hospitals are nothing to write home about, they are so foolish that even if they neglet everything, healthcare shouldn't be messed with because you may not have time to rush abroad for treatment. It's a huge step tho because it shows that in no distant time, Nigerians will overgrow tribalism and pick out the culprits in this evil. Babangida shouldn't be surprised if his kinsman rise up one day to jail him for life. |
Dont we have addition and removal in the bible? Do you care if I show you verses present in some versions but absent in some? Are you talking about the apocalypse? Besides, some religious groups that front as christians are not christians because they use their own special book they call bible even though they have an agenda eg, Jehovah's witnesses, Mormons, seventh day adventists etc. I need two things from you: 1. The verses where Jesus Christ is referred to as Isa 2. why Islamists try so hard to incorporate Jesus in their lists of prophets when Christians are not even interested in their own, Do you wonder why Islam recognised Jesus in the koran while christianity didn't recognise mohammad in the bible? Defuse the complex abeg or join the band wagon. |
A more active and focused brain devoid of erotic spaces. Folks like Hannibal only develops their limbic system more than their cognitive center. Limbic system is not even good enough to run a porn company.A brain. ![]() |
Anyways, I have given much thought to this question and I'm yet to get my head around this one. But it will be difficult having my wife as my boss, not because shes a woman, but rather trying to differenciate our professional life from our private life. Imagine my wife having to give me a query!!I know a Latino lady who is an occupational therapist that works in the same place with her husband who is just a technician. They try to work different shifts but sometimes they can't help it because the census is high. Her husband had no problem with her wife bossing him around at work and giving him a query for coming late even though she made him run late because he had to drop the kids at school before work. i don't know whether the man will be able to reverse the roles at home but i still doff my hat for him because it takes a lot for a man to bypass his ego and submit to his wife as boss. |
I become the CEO of her Dad's company as soon as the Dad leaves . . . .Remember her dad just stepped aside and with the way marriages are going today, he'll not rely on an inlaw who only has a degree in engineering to manage all he worked for in his lifetime in place of his own daughter who is a rhode scholar. What if you embezzle their money and bail with another senorita? |
That does not mean she's broke. She prolly left home thinking the ticket is valid for her trip. What's the big deal in that anyway?how can she - i saw her in London recently on an Heathrow Express train with a zone 1 - 6 card - and when she was asked for her ticket - she produced the zone 1 - 6 ticket - on a Heathrow Bound train! and worse still she was arguing with the steward that she has a valid ticket - and worse still - she gat no money on her to buy correct ticket - well - yours truely sat looking until a fellow Nigerian guy came to her h |
I don't even know who she is. Is she in Nollywood? They are also using her in Redsoil http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1018773/all is not lost, there's still thelma nwosu. so we still represented Is she that popular or she just has a good manager? |
Their initial choice was chioma Akpota but they had to pass on her because she was preggy. Who knows, they must have figured that she may likely be cheaper than Gene.WHy did they think of using her 1st of all? |
Why do I find it so difficult to believe she backed out 'because her demands were not met? Why do I have this strong feeling she was kicked out? What a mixed feeling borne out of spite for her. How will you feel if someone says the same because you turned down a job offer whether your demands were met or not? Onyeka Onwenu collects nothing less than N1M per movie even if it's waka pass role and it's up to you to hire her or not. You cannot call her and offer her N500K and when she refuses, you start abusing her, same goes for Kenneth okonwko. |
If she deem her worth way more than what was offered then she can carry on waiting!Y'all tend to forget that she musn't work in Hollywood to be somebody or must you play in the English premiership(The Hollywood of soccer) to be a successful footballer. |
No way, Jose!!!!!!!!!!!!You've been working for a UK shipping magnate who has one daughter in Wharton college. She fell in love with you and married you after his father handed the company over to her. Will you rather quit and go back to picking cans and washing cars for a living or stick to the big business as her assistant? |
I still wonder why AIT and NTA avoid stories like theseTrue, true and very true. |
That goes to show that you may consider working for her abi assuming the latter scenario was the case?@RHC |
When I say doctoring, it means that; removing or masking crucial information from its original places. If I came to your home and met your parents, and i asked for RedHotChic, their precious daughter. The probable stare that I will get from them is confusion. They do not have a redhotchic as a daughter. Therefore, that name RedHotChic could be a doctoring compared to your original name!So in essence you are saying that those translations were inaccurate and crucial information like Isa being Jesus was so difficult to translate that they had to avoid it abi? |
Secondly, there IS a muslim-only section on this board . . . christians who post there are SUMMARILY BANNED! The section was created for muslims who whinned and whinged about being "bashed" and those who sent threatening emails to the admin and the mods. Now you can't eat your cake and have it . . . you cannot, on one hand, demand a section for ISLAM ONLY where christians have no right to post and then continue to use the other section reserved for christians, athiests and others expecting to have free reign to "bash" christianity as you wish.5 star response. |
i can only take so much of seeing or being around same person in a day. so to your question heck NO!So you'd rather look for employment elsewhere even if her employers were ready to pay you double what you worth? |
yes ma, i will take it professionally, i will do my part and recognise her as the boss, but the roles changed once we step in the house, then i be the boss and God help her if she goofed @ the office, i go,Lmao; And God help you if you tomorrow if you goofed at home. |
So you'd rather hire a manager for your business and pay him/her double your husband's salary instead of hiring your husband?@Topic to avoid any confusion among the couples, let them work in different office. There are other companies that pays very well and there are other things a man or woman can do to still make a good pay check |
Guys: Will you work for your wife as her staff in her business OR assuming both of you work for a company that has no strict policy against dating staff members and she happens to be your boss, how will you manage the role reversal at home? Will you be insubordinate to her orders at the office because you are her boss at home? Ladies: If you find yourself in that position, how will you manage it without hurting his ego? Will you transfer the frustrations in your marriage to work and use your position to humiliate him? If your husband is earning $50K/PA and your business that rakes in about $700K/PA is in dire need of a competent manager to close the loop holes and you are ready to pay the manager $100K, will you rather hire another person and pay him that much when your husband is capable of doing that? |
Forget his bad boy role in Nollywood movies, Segun Arinze is the man after many ladies heart. He may not have the charming look of a Danzel Washington or fat bank account as David Beckhams' but he is got the energy and the creativity that a lot people drool over. The latest news reaching www.niyitabiti..com indicates all his now set for the traditional wedding ceremony of 'Black Arrow' as he is popularly called. Authoritative sources hinted that the bride to be is simply known as Julie. She is a lawyer and a staff of Slumberger, a multinational company in Nigeria. She hails from Oguta in Imo State. The white wedding has been fixed for a late date. www.niyitabiti..com spoke with the 43 year old actor this afternoon and he confirmed the story. However, he declined to reveal more about his new bride whom he described as publicity shy. Born Segun Aina, he hails from Badagry in Lagos State, Nigeria. His first marriage to Ann Njemanze, another Igbo lady produced a daughter known as Morenike. The marriage, however, crashed following allegations and counter allegations of infidelity between them. The Nollywood actor has also been linked with other women before now.One of them is a top executive witha broadcasting company in Nigeria. http://niyitabiti..com/2008/07/nollywood-star-actor-segun-arinze-weds.html |
Why are they fighting so hard to pull this woman down? What did she do to them? Is it because she's a woman? The initial one they said about her entered her wikipedia record and now this one again. I doubt whether she'll go near Nigeria again. Rubbish. |
Those group are foolish and a disgrace to the Yoruba people. I am also a Yoruba and I know that the culture of the Yorubas does not permit curroption in any form. Let those ex-ministers be investigated thoroughly and be punished accordingly if found guilty. Angry AngryI love you. |
I was not involved in alleged aviation fund scam, says Okonjo-Iweala From Martins Oloja, Abuja Bureau Chief FORMER Finance and Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has denied involvement in any transactions in the Aviation sector being probed by Senate Committee in Nigeria. advertisement Specifically, Okonjo-Iweala, a former World Bank Vice President and current managing director of the global financial institution, said contrary to recent reports in the news media linking her to a process that led to a controversial N6.5 billion, she was not involved in any way in the loan deal. A statement issued in Abuja yesterday by the Media Adviser to the former minister, Paul Nwabiukwu, confirmed the position of the World Bank chief. Nwabiukwu said Okonjo-Iweala is apparently angry that her name had been reportedly linked to the deal that has no bearing with her schedules as minister. He said: "One of such reports, which has been published in several national dailies, claims that Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was instrumental to obtaining a N6.5 billion loan from a bank as part of the Aviation Intervention Fund to finance the rehabilitation of tower projects in four of the nation's airports. "This statement is completely false. Dr. Okonjo-Iweala had absolutely nothing to do with the process which led to getting the facility from the bank or any other bank for that matter." "As Minister of Finance, Dr. Okonjo-Iweala carried out her statutory responsibilities without concerning herself with issues such as contracts and placement of funds. As the bank would readily confirm, there was no basis for Dr. Okonjo-Iweala to play any such role". Nwabiukwu also decried the speculation that Okonjo-Iweala would have been arrested if she had appeared before the committee. His words: "From the information available to the former minister, there is no reason for the committee to contemplate any such action. Dr. Okonjo-Iweala had forwarded a letter to the committee, which adequately explained the origins of the loan in the wake of the unfortunate plane crashes that happened two years ago. "It is also important to note that, before she resigned from the Obasanjo government in August 2006, the only money spent out of the Aviation Fund was the N2 billion which was used to pay the entitlements of disengaged workers of the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria". He added: "It is becoming increasingly clear that there is an orchestrated campaign by some persons to impugn the integrity and hard-won reputation of Dr Okonjo-Iweala. Whatever the motives of these persons may be, Dr Okonjo-Iweala is confident that they will fail - again - because Nigerians are too wise for their antics". |

Death by drowning: 60 Nigerian illegal immigrants die off the coast of Spain Tuesday, July 8, 2008 Dozens of Nigerians are reported dead and several others missing after their boat capsized while attempting to enter into Spain illegally. Spanish officials who said the dead included two pregnant women said the mishap occured after their boats ran into rough waters off Spain’s southern coast. According to maritime authorities, the boat was carrying over 100 Nigerian migrants when it overturned off the town of Motril. * More Stories on This Section advertisement About 23 migrants were rescued while the search for the bodies of those who died has begun. The boat was one of several carrying Nigerians attempting the dangerous trip to Europe via Spain. The authorities said they are searching for other boats, but warned that the death toll could be higher. "Our Navy intercepted several boats, the fate of the occupants are uncertain, but this are dangerous waters and they may have drowned", a Spanish official said. Sources said the desperate Nigerian paid several thousands of dollars to syndicates which promised them entry to Spain, but ended up packing them into leaky boats for the dangerous trip. Thousands of Africans attempt to reach Spain's canary Islands every year, but most drown during the trip. "The Nigerian government should take steps to prevent its citizens from making this dangerous trip as the likely consequence could be death", Spanish officials said. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/jul/8/512.html |
70 Nigerians await execution in Indonesia, Saudi Arabia JUDE OPARA, Abuja with agency report •14 drown in Spain few days after the Indonesian authorities executed two Nigerians, Samuel Iwuchukwu and Anthony Nwolisa, for their alleged involvement in drug-related offences, another 20 are said to be on the death row in that country. Also, another 50 are awaiting execution in Saudi Arabia and other Asian countries. advertisement Similarly, 14 Nigerian migrants were missing yesterday after their boat capsized off the southern coast of Spain, a local government spokesman said, citing survivors. Two maritime rescue ships and an aeroplane were searching for the missing migrants in the waters of the Mediterranean off the town of Motril, the spokesman for the government of the province of Granada said. The ship was carrying 37 would-be migrants from Nigeria when it capsized at about 5:30 am (0330 GMT) as it was being aided by a Spanish maritime rescue ship, which managed to rescue 23 people, he said. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Ojo Maduekwe while briefing the media over the weekend in Abuja said it was rather unfortunate that Nigerian citizens should die in such avoidable circumstances saying the government was pained by the development. The minister whose last-minute efforts at saving the lives of the two Nigerians failed, also revealed that apart from the 20 in Indonesia, there are another 50 in other Asian countries including Saudi Arabia who may be having a date with the hangman if nothing urgent was done to save their lives. "I had invited the Indonesian ambassador to see how to avoid the executions but that did not help us and in this circumstance, I don’t know what next to do to save the lives of our nationals in these countries, all I will say is that our people should be very careful not to do what are forbidden in foreign countries." To this effect, Chief Maduekwe revealed that his ministry has set up a high-powered committee to check the incidents of illegal migration by Nigerians. He also said that a National Summit on Illegal Migration would be held very soon to raise national awareness about the dangers of illegal migration and the consequences of doing what is prohibited in foreign lands. The minister who sounded agitated said it was unfortunate that Nigerians would be treated with disdain at foreign airports just for the sake of a very negligible number of the people who are seen as criminals. "Ninety nine per cent of Nigerians are clean and credible people who are doing their legitimate businesses anywhere in the world bet it is rather unfortunate that just for the sake of a few all of us are been harassed when we travel abroad, this is sad and government would do everything to redress the trend," he said. He assured that the federal government would continue to put in place structures that would ensure that the atmosphere at home was good for the citizens to do their business and also for the foreigners to come and take part in. According to him, the crux of the citizen diplomacy be preached by the government is centered on the people of Nigeria but that must be within the confines of the laws of their host nations wherever they may be. He argued that it is wrong for people to flout the laws of their hosts saying that the federal government would not fold its arms and see a Nigerian national being humiliated unjustly but regretted that in the case of drug pushing, there is little or nothing any nation whose citizen was involved could do. Daily Champion gathered that rough seas with waves of up to six-metres (20-feet) were complicating the search for the missing migrants. More than 900 would-be illegal immigrants died at sea trying to reach Spain in 2007, according to a tally by the Organisation for Human Rights in Andalusia (APDH-A), a Spanish human rights organization. Of the 921 people who died, 732 perished close to the western coast of North Africa at the start of their journey and 189 near the coasts of Spain, it said. The majority of 629 were from sub-Saharan Africa, 287 were from North Africa and five Asians. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/jul/8/237.html |
Corruption means doctoring, changing from 100% original! Yet some truth can still remain in a corrupted material. You know that they are manufacturing some fake goods, materials, items. Lets say Coach products. The fake still has the insigna, etc. And of course it is made with the same materials as the original. But for the trained eyes, eg. the Coach company executives, can easily tell the fake from the real Macoy. This is the same process you should apply with the corrupted Bible versus the Original Books that came to the prophets who received the revelations before the Scribes used their pen to cahnge 'em!There are standard bibles used by christians and those ones were only translated to different languages and not doctored eg KJV, NKJV, NIV etc. Doctoring means adding and removing lots of crucial information from the bible. I've never seen Isa in the bible before but all I ask for is the chapter and verse in case am ignorant. |
One of the most stupid topics ever.If you've been paying attention in your history class, you should know that Jews have different colors. I repeat, stay in school. |
rofl, if you are new to hollywood, you at the bottom period!First of all, you mustn't start from the bottom in hollywood if you started new. Derek Luke's first movie was Antoine fisher and he was the lead cast. Others like Penelope Cruise did her thing at the Spanish pictures before heading to hollywood as a big star. Genny coming to hollywood to do "waka pass" role is like somebody who has a good job in Nigeria moving to America to work in McDonalds. Besides, there is no reason to call her delusional because she never said she wants to star alongside Angelina Jolie. I think she has a right to choose what is good for her and what she wants to do. Common, it's not her fault that she's the face of Nigerian motion pictures, good for her and she should enjoy it now she's on top but expecting her to kiss some ass because that ass is from Hollywood is gross. She's even said it time without number that she's not interested in the damn hollywood so why can't people let her be? Lots of European soccer stars decided to ply their trade in their local home club even when bigger clubs were looking for their signature with a big pay check. Lebron james decided to hang on around home with Ohio cavaliers even when bigger clubs were gunning for him. It's a personal decision and to be frank, she is the biggest African star in the Tulip crew and I know how these people here behave, they'll probably want to downplay her ability and worth because she's African even though they surely need her face to sell the movies to the African audience and she doesn't come as someone that can take that kind of BS. I've let better paying jobs slip through my fingers here because of that African factor plaguing us here and it's either you take their shit and remain a 3rd class citizen or tell them outright that nobody should toy with you. I single handedly bought more respect for me and some Africans in my work place(some stayed dormant there for years because they want to become chief that is not even guaranteed). Genevieve Nnaji is a human being with mind and soul and it'll be unfair to judge her just from the words of some people she dumped or will you like us to take the words of some boyfriend you dumped and judge your personality based on his testimony alone? |
Redhottie is different from Almondbabe, I miss her tho.I think this red Hot Chick name is Almondjoy and she is lives in America. |
Red,Forget about Redhottie for once and think about the advantages of this proposal? Implanting chips in Nigerian men could decimate prostitution in Nigeria and lure prostitutes out of the brothels. |
I tell u say I dey stay Kano?Na only Kano get gutter? This one wey Hannibal dey sniff for UK nko? Good nite babe. ![]() |
