She fell out of love with him but before she could drop the bombshell, the kidney wahala came into the piture. She's afraid of going throught it because of the emotional,financial and mental strain and she decided to hang on to faith and bingo, her husband's kidney became a match. Do you expect her to say, oh no honey, i'm about to leave you, so you may wanna think twice before you donate your kidney? will you as a person do that in that kind of situation?

I disagree. I once watched a woman whom her husband left cry on tv here because she gave him one of her kidneys. You cannot resume to abuse and disrespect me and expect me to take it just because you gave me your kidney to live. It's same as paying your wife's school fees and expect her to be your slave for life after all you bought light and wisdom for her with your possession.

I would give my kidney - if the person goes on to leave me, well I have helped save a life, nothing can change that.

Why would you start out thinking about the person leaving you in the first instance? Your negativity/inbuilt expectation of the worst is really not the best way to approach a relationship - expecting it will or may likely end. Well, if we find ourselves in such situationss, it's not going to be an easy decision even if we are giving the damn lobe to our children. It's not as easy as we make it out to be even though there are those that has given theirs based on charity alone. I'm planning to go to DMV next month and enroll on voluntary donor program in case of an accident. I'll like to donate my liver, kidney etc(as long as Jackal, Sly,Eldee and all those that abuse women will not get it).

Me too. As long as he's not abusing them(by abuse, i mean sexually or physically inflicting excruciating pains on them and not if he smacks or whips them). He can whip them in their behind as much as he wishes for all i care. You are better off with no child at all than one spoilt one ,I swear.

I would not allow my children to come between us but i will not allow anyone to hurt my children and that is what i mean about them coming first. It is MY JOB as their mother to ALWAYS protect them for as long as they are unable to protect themselves.

Protecting your kids is way different from mischievous teenage kids trying to get their way because(in most cases) their step dad is a stumbling block to their freewill. Freedom to try drugs, freedom to experiment with sex, stay out late at night etc. teenagers are the greatest liars on earth and if you are not careful with them, you may punish the man in your life because of excessive love for your kids. That is the reason why so many men always have a problem marrying women with kids because if they don't play their cards well, they'll turn to victims of that womans circumstances.

I would not have married him if my children were not comfortable with him. Children have a rador on these things and trust me my children called it each and everytime. My children LOVE him and trust him and even tell on me when i disobey him.

Children grow everyday and they get matured mentally with age (especially girls). They may wake up one morning to hate the very step dad they use to love dearly . If you find yourself in such situation(God forbid), will you give in to them or will you take your husbands side?

Considering the fact that marriage is a shaky institution today, will you give up your kidney for a sick fiancee/fiance/boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband if you love him/her so much? What if he/she wakes up to dump you 6 months after taking your dearest kidney? Will you even consider such possibilities before telling the surgeons to cut you open?

I would say no that means that he puts a different value on his love for me vs his love for his children and same for me.

Love makes the world go round and not money, that being said, the magnitude of love I have for him will be the yardstick for forgiveness and the lower the love goes, the more likely he'll find himself living under the bridge one winter night.

Do i need to develop a test statistic so we can estimate love here? Common, we have intuition for a reason and yes, love can be estimated by the 2nd party.

I can't say that my partner has more or less love for me then I have for him because I am not him.
