FoodRe: What Is The Reason Behind High Cost Of Beans by Redman44(m): 3:41pm On Jun 10, 2024
tman2sure:
It is high time Nigerians go into farming. Our soil is good for farming unlike some countries, yet they are still performing better than us. Pls even if it is like a garden like farming. Enough of all this rubbish by our farmers/middlemen exploiting us.
Southerners should embrace farming massively. We have the land. Beans grows in the South. I know this because my mum and aunts used to plant beans in their compounds when I was a child.

How many acres do you want?[/quote

Noted, Sir. Please answer this question- is the land having big trees or will it be easy to clear it? I don't want thick forested land that will cost a lot of money for clearing. Thanks.

Bankowner:
Tell people to go into farming now, they'll tell you you want to bring them back to the stone age. Even if it is for subsistence, you can plant the following:

1. Pepper
2. Tomato
3. Okro
4. Vegetables
5. Yam
6. Corn (in season)
7. Cocoyam
8. Plantain
9. Banana
10. Pawpaw
If not for Malaria that has held me down, I would have continued planting fruits in my compound and site. I have planted guava and bananas already. Pawpaw and plantain on my mind too. I love mangoes but the size of mango trees is discouraging me from planting Mango.

Real Madrid should sign Ademola Lookman as soon as possible. Lookman has the Real Madrid mentality and he is a talented striker. I believe Lookman will do well at the Bernabeu.

Hmn. Don't worry. Bogije is not the ideal place for farming for me. Cheers. Besides, your price is too steep for me. There are far cheaper lands for lease than that in the areas I have mentioned. Cheers.

The NFF should move the stadium then. Why can't this game be played in Lagos? Lagos has two good stadiums. National Stadium , Surulere, should be reactivated.

The Asians are much more organized than Africans in the UK. The Asians have already produced the Prime Minister and Mayor of London and several cabinet secretaries etc. Where are the Africans? Shior . All we do is to compete against one another. No concrete achievements .
FamilyRe: Nigerian Who Relocated To UK In 2022 Beat Wife To Death With Skateboard by Redman44(m): 2:40pm On Apr 27, 2024
Hmm. The UK is a country where you will be humbled as a Nigerian man. The country favours women over men. I still don't understand why a Nigerian man will bring a woman from Nigeria to the UK, knowing our culture. We worship material things and money. Once a Nigerian woman starts making money, her respect for her man diminishes gradually, no matter how holy she is. We don't value humble people in Nigeria .We love to show off. If you can start a successful business in Nigeria, you are better off than 85% of Nigerians abroad. Take that from someone who has lived and worked in the UK. You only have to be prayerful and surmount the initial obstacles and evil people that will try and kill your dreams before you start your business. Cheers.

RevenuesBoost:
Then you guys should leave wheat and make cassava bread.

Nigeria have cassava but don't use most of it for flour. Garri is the trend.

This was what our Ex President Olusegun Obasanjo was trying to achieve.
He tried to preach the use of cassava flour to make bread.
https://www.nairaland.com/1364033/olusegun-obasanjo-eating-cassava-bread

I've eaten cassava bread and it tastes good.
We can do without wheat.

Establish more industries in cassava producing states for the processing of cassava to flour and bread production price will lessen.
You are so right. Cassava bread made from Cassava flour is good for consumption. Cassava bread is healthier than wheat bread. Bread can be made with Corn too, you know . 60% wheat flour and 40% maize flour can be used to make bread. Flour mills in Nigeria are trying to discredit cassava flour . There arev so many things we can make with our local crops . It is an unexplored mine we have. Cheers.

I felt discouraged and did not do farming last year. But this year, I want to give it a shot again, this time around, I will supervise closely and not just put money in anyone's hand
It is better to monitor your farm yourself. You don't plant crops via someone else. It always ends badly. Cheers.
