Southerners should go and farm. We have good soil here. Go and plant something when the rainy season starts. Plant grains e.g Guinea Corn , Millet and Maize. Plant beans and potatoes, cocoyams and cassava in your spacious compounds. No slacking this year , Southerners. We can do it and stop depending on the North for food. |
codemaniacs:Does the southwest plant beans and onions or Maize, Millet and Sorghum in large quantities? We eat a lot of beans in the south, don't we? So, where do these beans come from , bro? Same with Guinea Corn and Millet. |
codemaniacs:You are the ignorant one here. The north plants most of the food in Nigeria. Southerners eat a lot of Guinea Corn , Maize and Millet. What do you think is used to make pap? And animal feed? Pepper and onions are mostly grown in Northern Nigeria. Go and do your research. |
iyke2frankeze:Which crops? These crops have different species and cultivars. Yes, the northern lands have fewer weeds but they are not more fertile than southern lands. Let every southern Nigerian do the needful. Half a plot of maize can feed you and your family. Plant maize. Half a plot of cassava can feed you and your family. Plant Cassava. You can plant yams and cocoyams in your garden. If your compound is big, plant vegetables and maize in your house. At least you will have something to eat. Cheers. |
The rainy season will be around by April 2024. Please, plant crops in your compound ( If you live in your own house ) or look for land in your area to cultivate. There are plots of land in your area that the owners have left undeveloped ( they only left at foundation level or have built nothing on it ). Get access to those lands ( ask for permission ) and plant vegetables and maize, yam, cassava etc there Raise rabbits and chickens in your home. You can even buy 8-12 layers and raise them in a cage behind your house for eggs. Give them feed sometimes, leftover food , spent grains sometimes. At least you will have eggs to eat in your home. You will even have at least half crate of eggs to sell every weekend .Cheers . |
The southwest states have to embrace farming on a massive scale. There is a lot of unutilized land in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo etc. Hectares of land that can be farmed productively. We can plant Guinea Corn, Maize and Millet massively in Yoruba land. Cultivars and Species of these cereals can grow in the South-West. We should also use every available space to plant kitchen crops in the southwest. So many information online. The government should give seeds to the people and clear land for them. The people will do the rest. Cheers. |
It was a huge loss to the USA. Well, the former squad of Dtigress was built over 5 years to compete favourably on court with the Americans, as we all noticed under Coach Otis Hughley. This current squad needs more time together with infusion of better and more gifted players from time to time. It was the same approach that Otis used. He brought in Victoria Macaulay, Ibekwe etc before we started giving the USA team scary quarters on court. At least, we have qualified for the Olympics. |
MSGAMBLE9:I like Pallas Kunaiyi Akpanah a lot . Been following her game since College days. She keeps getting better with every tournament. We should just try and beat Belgium. I know it won't be easy, but we can do it. Cheers. |
PDPGuy:Dtigress beat France last time though, under Otis Hughley during the qualifiers for the Tokyo Olympics. Belgium is BEATABLE if our ladies are focused and tactful. We have some game winning players in the current D'tigress Squad. |
PDPGuy:I think Dtigress can beat Belgium and Senegal. And give the Americans a tough game. It is all about FOCUS and TACTICS. |
D'tigress are already in Camp.

Yes, it is good to pray. However, ACTION is what is needed most. We cannot expect God to come down and do what we ought to do by ourselves. I have learnt to start taking action on certain things this 2024. No more being taken for a ride by people who ought to tell methe truth. Cheers. |
I am looking to buy the Cockerels in Ikorodu and environs. Thanks. Any offers? |
Hello Nairalanders, how are you? I am making this enquiry on behalf of someone. Please where can I buy 2 weeks old Cockerels or Noilers Chickens in Ikorodu, Lagos? If you live in Ikorodu, please help us out. We are looking for sellers of 2 weeks Cockerels ( White or Black ) in Ikorodu. Thanks. You can whatsapp me on 07049598500. Thank you. |
lovewins:Yes, Ogoke should retire. She has been playing for Dtigress since around 2015. The captain's band should be given to Pallas Kunaiyi Akpanah or Elizabeth Balogun. Balogun is preferable for me because she has leadership traits. Adaora Elonu can continue as Captain if she is coming back to the fold. |
lovewins:Note that Okoro did not get enough playing time on the court. She was used sparingly throughout Afro basket in Kigali last year. Yet, she showed lots of courage and promised. At least, she is now playing in Europe. Iceland is a good starting point. She will move to clubs in Spain, France etc as time goes on. She is still young. She is 24. We should not forget that Ifunanya Okoro will play in European Inter Club tournaments where her club will play against clubs from major European countries. I believe she will gain more experience as time goes on. Cheers. |
I just found out that Ifunanya Okoro plays for Tindastoll in Iceland. She is already playing in Europe. This is very interesting. She has been scoring an average of 20 points per game for Tindastoll. So, why are we not talking about Okoro? We need her next month at the Qualifiers for the Olympics.
|
Ifunanya Okoro is better than some of the names being mentioned on this thread. Where are you placing her? Okoro was great during last year's Afrobasket for Women in Kigali, Rwanda. She played well. Check her stats. She should be on the merit list for the Olympic Qualifiers in February. I am rooting for her 100%. She is Nigerian raised who moved to Kenya Ports Authority ( KPA ) where she has made her mark. I believe Okoro will do well professionally in Europe. Ogoke is due for retirement. She should be drafted into the Management team of D'tigress . She has a future with the team not as the Coach, but as part of the Management Squad. I am a huge fan of Sarah Ogoke, but it is time for her to RETIRE. As for Kalu and the 2021 Dtigress Squad, they are welcome back into the new order taking shape.

These secondary school girls are very bold now. Even the ones in JSS 2 and 3. God help handsome male teachers. This one rubs her chest on my shoulders suggestively. Some of them in JSS 3 are already having sex. You can see it in their eyes. At their age, the hormones are strong and crying out for exploration. Just talk to your female child. She is going through a lot in school . Hmm. |
aswani:Same with Nigeria in Female basketball. D'tigress has been powered by Nigerian-American ladies since 2017 . We owe our Afrobasket Gold trophies from 2017-2023 to the Nigerian-American connection. Cheers. |
It should be available at Agege market . Ask around that area, OP. It is guinea fowl called Ediye Awo in YORUBA. Cheers. It might be expensive though. Like 18K . |
PDP should field Peter Obi as its Presidential candidate in 2027 with Kwankwaso as his deputy. LP, PDP, SDP and Kwankwassiya movement should come together and form a mega party for 2027. Cheers. |
OP, you can also open a tutorial center. Collect 200 on a daily basis from students about to write WAEC, GCE, NECO and JAMB. Even Common entrance Candidates. Get good teachers for Maths and Chemistry/Physics. You can teach the other subjects yourself. Market your tutorial center well and make sure you teach your students properly. Rent a place for the business, especially buildings that have been roofed but have not been completed. It is a good business. |
Love800:That is what you think. The secret is to produce in large quantities. And have many customers you are supplying to. Then one needs to be able to look for cheaper subsitutes for each ingredient. Find ways to reduce the cost of production. I can't release all the secrets here. Bye. |
osejie17:This is another good idea. However, OP should be careful of guys and ladies buying clothes on credit and chronic debtors . Please, insist on immediate payment for the clothes and shoes. Cheers. |
OP, go into food business. Learn how to make snacks e.g Donuts, Chinchin, Potato Chips, Popcorn, plantain chips etc and supply them to schools etc. Know how to market the snacks. Know how to source for your ingredients at cheap prices. Try and use coal pot to make the snacks, to save money. Food business hardly fails. With 100,000 sef, you can start something. You need to be passionate about it though. |
brownemmanuel43:Feed making is not rocket science, you know. There are feed formulas all over the web . I intend to create my own types of feed as time goes on. Also there are cheap but good feeds in the market, you just have to search for where you can buy them. Chickens can feed on all kinds of grains, especially cockerels . I grew up in a house where my dad raised Chickens for eggs and for sale at Christmas. So I am not a newbie to this thing I want to embark on. |
obinna58:The roofing is not Aluminium sheets. We used Nigerite Lite Life Span sheets for the roofing. The inside of the place is always cool ( on hot or sunny days ) due to the material used to make the roofing sheets. The sheets look like asbestos, but it is not asbestos. It is a new kind of material. As per sales, I am thinking of buying day old cockerels, breed them for 6 weeks and then sell them off. And then repeat the process. Rinse and Repeat several times through the year. So I am not breeding the cockerels to full maturity. I will have to look for buyers and create a market for the birds. I have my marketing plans. Your advice is noted though. Thanks. |
Kehfie:Thanks, I will follow your advice. Stay Blessed. |
obinna58:. The place has lots of windows though. I believe Cockerels will do well in the place. Or noilers. Yes, cramming the birds is not a good idea. Finding customers to purchase the birds during non festive months is what I am thinking about now. What's your suggestion? Thanks. |
1TrippleCee:Yes, I am thinking of Cockerels. |
Still available to teach in your school. Thanks. |
